Looks a good brew mate, easy as to do. I brew the Morgan’s Pacific Ale with 1.5kg Liquid Wheat Malt, and 24g Galaxy Hops ( dry hop ) turns out a nice brew, cheers Jay 🍻🍻
Jay you've inspired me - I've got an LME kit in my fridge and a busy day ahead, wife and son are at the in laws so looks like a perfect opportunity to use it
G’day. I recently made a similar brew for my second batch of home brew using the Pacific Ale can, a can of liquid wheat malt and US05. I dry hopped using 24g of Galaxy and 12g of Cascade but had to bottle after 3 days instead of 4 (life factors). It’s only 3 weeks old and is a nice, easy drinking pale ale but to be honest, I was expecting more hop aroma and flavours. Your comments regarding taste preferences, especially in terms of hop flavours, are spot on. I prefer a hoppier pale ale so will consider something like 35g Galaxy/15 Cascade or even 40/20 next time. Cheers.
Thanks Hugh. If you can try to go against hop lore, I will give you one of my best tips for really hoppy beers. As dry hopping alone, is a very inefficient use of hops to add aroma and flavour, and dry hopping effects are the most volatile and have the shortest shelf life. My tip to give a great hop kick to your beer is: - bring the unhopped wheat malt extract with 2.5L of added water to the boil. - once boiling, add 25g of whatever hop (or hop blend) you like and boil for 10 minutes. - add the wort to the rest of your brewing ingredients and ferment as normal. - Dry hop with the remaining 25g on day 5 for no more than 5 days. Let me know what you think of the results.
@@jaysbeerchannel5873 Thanks for the tip. I had no idea about that. My next brew is probably going to be a FWK but I’ll give your suggestion a go the next time I do a kit and kilo. Cheers.
Why is it that most genuine channels don’t have anywhere near the amount of subscribers that they deserve?
Thanks very much for that Matt.

Cheers Gavin. Your recipe would be a great drop. And the wheat malt would give great mouthfeel.

It was a pretty good pale ale for an extract.

@@hughrothwell7522 cheers Hugh. Good luck with the brewing.
Jay, is there a reason why you add the hops to the malt extract not just boil it in water then add to the kit kilo
