- This is a variation of Tim Cammisa's 'Sneek Attack' fly pattern, which I particularly enjoy using as a dropper in brook trout streams. If you'd like to check out the original, you can find it on Tim's channel ( • Cammisa's SNEAK ATTACK... ), where he provides a detailed instructional video on how to tie it with tips on how to fish it. Whether you use it as a dropper like I do, in a Euro rig, or under an indicator, this fly is definitely worth trying out!

This ones great! sinks like a rock with a larger tungsten bead and has just enough flare to get the brook trouts attention. All wile keeping the profile of just about any small insect.

I found a fly tier on etsy and picked up a bunch of these about a month or so ago, really nice simple pattern to use when less is more.

@MainelyFlies I just started fly fishing for striped bass from the surf is there any tips you can give me?
Striped bass is not my specialty, while I've fished for them its not something that I do often. The ocean also comes with a variety of conditions and locations you could be fishing for them so its hard to say. Good advice inshore would be bad advice in deep open water.
