Nice to see the date has been enlarged a bit. Citizen are bad about making the date window cutout the same size as the date text and then burying it 2 feet down.

Nope, the red one does not have the black bezel that this purple one has. Check it out, there are four variation of this watch. Silver, blue, red, and the one you are showing in purple with black bezel. Cheers.
I really like this watch and the fact that it's a titanium Solar Atomic with easy time zone changes. It even has the world time zones on the casebook for reference to aid in adjusting the time zone. I bought a gray one directly from Citizen for a 30% discount and then realized that it was better suited as that One watch that I'd wear everyday and everywhere. Although I couldn't see myself wearing one OCONUS and making myself a target for thieves. I returned it. I might regret that.
Got the blood red on my wrist ..love it.. I think they should have made the arms on the little subdials maybe a gunmetal blue.. like the citizen ProMaster tough the date is hard to see...good looking. Fits my seven inch Nice
@@Lisa-vj6pz Can you please share the model number for the watch you're wearing? I'm seeing BY1018-55X and BY1018-80X both listed as having the red background.
Horrible Clasp. I wonder why most of Citizen, Orient and Seiko has this type of really bad clasp. I am sure that they know of this, but it is awfully strange that they haven't fixed it yet.
@@giuseppesamba I do not think that American & Europeans got nothing to do with the clasp issue. I mean.. Even Grand Seiko's clasp is worse than sub $500 China-brand clasp (such as San Martin on the fly adjustment clasp). They just got to step up and do better.
Unfortunately Citizen have kept the good micro-adjust clasps for the ATTESA JDM range (once again). Check out the Citizen BY1001-66E for reference/example.
@@Dante80 Just checked via ebay. Exception of this model having a milled clasp, there is no micro adjustment and a tiny clasp which is very common for Citizen models.
@@alexsdg3441 As I said, the clasp carries a pretty standard for JDM Attesas micro-adjust function with a total adjustment length of 1cm in two increments. You can view it on videos online for the watch, hope that helps. All the JDM models with this caliber carry said micro-adjust clasp system in their bracelets. I have a couple of Attesas myself, and that design is extremely handy for on the fly adjustment, while at the same time keeping the clasp elegant and short.
Hello 👋 What is the strap size for this watch, I want to buy this watch and change it to a leather strap, but I can't find any information on the width...
Colorways:
Purple: BY1018-55X
Blue: BY1010-57L
Burgundy: BY1018-80X
Black: BY1018-80E
Gray: BY1010-57H
Hunter Green: BY1010-81X
Where do you find these other colors?
I have the -80X and see no difference with the one in the video
There is something between color purple and me! I find it so atractive and this watch looks perfect! Solar, multi band… Perfect!
That is flipping gorgeous!!! 😍 great watch to cover!!!
Nothing better than a Citizen Watch when you consider technology, and horolgy together.
Price too!
That watch is pretty cool. Love the phase

Saw the blue dial version a while ago and thought it looked really sharp, but now that i see tis maroon version i think it looks even better.
Hey Rob , yup its Pin and Collar
Super cool, i have a Hakuto-R Attesa and these high end Citizens are incredible.
I looked at that one too. Do you think it’s worth the tag?
@@ChrizzLau69 The finishing and build quality are up there with other watches in the $1-2k range for sure.
@@Tangylives thanks for the input!
It's pin and collar, I have a Citizen Eco Drive Titanium watch with the same band.
Calibre H874. Perfex 3000 - enhanced mechanical and electric shock resistance and automatic hand position correction.
It's like a G Shock...I like it. Online it shows only 10.9 mm thick.
One micro adjust via spring bar and no half links. Are we supposed to have Standard Wrists?

There's also dark gray/black, and green.
Yes indeed, it seems they expanded the available colours. Now it is harder to pick one,@@superdrykidrobot

I just bought mine in Japan
80X seems to be the red one.
No, I have the -80X and it is exactly the same as in this video

If this were trua, all clasps sold in the US would be the inferior variety and all Euro clasps would be sturdy.@@giuseppesamba
