I have 15 watches and this one is my favorite. I have the gray version which looks like the real moon. I love it!
the version you have is what I want. the blue is nice but a bit too dark with the black

That's exactly the point I was trying to make! For this functionality from any mechanical watch would cost in the hundreds of thousands and you still wouldn't have all of the same functions.... And for all that functionality it doesn't look very complicated. Imagine a mechanical watch with all that functionality and how would have to be displayed. Telling the time would be almost impossible and it would be huge

I hope more watch brands prioritize technology like this, my unpopular opinion is that automatic watches are no longer relevant in today's era of accuracy and convenience.
People said that back when Quartz watches first became popular, however, mostly due to collectors and the luxury market, mechanical watches are very popular again. For pure convenience, the Citizen AT and Bulova Precisionist movements are hard to beat. I have a mixture of quartz and mechanical in my collection, and I enjoy them all.

I like it and I'm thinking about picking one up. I do have some issues with it. I wish the pushers were much smaller and discreet. I would have preferred that left off the am/pm indicator. I think it would improve the symmetry. I also would prefer female end links and a better clasp. None of those are deal breakers and it offers a lot.

hello, great review! moreover why first atomic watch with with moonphase????? CASIO does it since 25 years...multiband6, tough solar with moon phase and tides (eg Gulfman, frogman etc). Maybe you mean analog?

Ha, I suppose "too busy" is subjective. The dial is moderately busy, but I can still easily read it.

Should have lumed the moon and made it a touch smaller
The finish on the moon phase sundial looks rather rough. Enough to put me off an otherwise nice looking and well specced watch.
There is nothing wrong with that transition. He is magnifying it 20X. In real life, the date window is hard to see much less the moon phase bevel.

I got a Citizen Eco Drive atomic watch for 15 years now. Never had any problems. I think you won’t ever need repair service….
I actually managed to crack the sapphire crystal face on my citizen watch put it in a box mailed it to Citizen they contacted me with the price to fix it I ok'd it and got my watch back. The whole thing took 3 weeks if I recall and the cost was $50.
I love the watch but hate the bracelet.

With decent water resistance 100m it could be a great one watch collection for someone.
My dailies were Eco-Drives for many, many years! In my experience usually the watch breaks before the capacitor gives out.

Nice looking watch. Technology is great. For me, the moon phase takes up too much real estate on the dial.
Of course - this is NOT world's first atomic watch with moon phase - Casio have plenty! I have two Casio's - both with atomic clock and moon phase. But ANALOG Moon phase - yes might be the first.

@kostar500 no they don't, they overcharge for their watches and the quality gets worse not better. A milled clasp and sapphire crystals will only help their bottom line , not hurt it.

Why do people (at least Americans) always say "Atomic watch"? It's not an atomic watch. There are no atomic watches! If the mere capability of receiving a time signal from an atomic clock is enough to say something is "atomic", then I have an atomic phone, and an atomic laptop as well.
moonphase, useless and complicate the dial without any reason 1/3 of the dial is the effing moonphase lol , ugly
Great watch - but I dont like it. In my opinion it has no style. I find it impersonal and tasteless. But thats just me.
Yeah my opinion is the exact opposite of yours. The overall package is a combination their highly regarded tech, and its design and functions are cohesive. A great combination

Moonphase was totally unnecessary..
Macy’s has these 35% right now. I was about to order a Tag titanium aquaracer but now idk.
