In This video we got the lq4 LS 6.0L back from the machine shop. This was a supposedly good pull out 6.0 but upon further inspection it had several issues. My local machine shop put new gen 4 rods and pistons in it and clean honed the block. Now it is time to start assembly. I wanted a cammed 6.0L LS engine for the 52 Chevy. We are starting by installing a new rear main with a good alignment tool. Next the cleaned up rear cover. Once on the engine stand I install a small GP Tuning spec cam. New Cam retainer Plate and Bolts from GM. New Timing Gear and ARP Bolts to secure the Cam. Next comes the new ls2 timing chain and Melling Oil Pump. We then move to the Lifters and we used the Good LS7 lifters and GM Trays. 243 Heads from a local machine shop with the proper springs for cam being used. All of this was fastened down with ARP Head Bolts. More to come as we test fit this in the 55 Belair and eventually in the 52 Chevy 3100. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......
