I just found your channel and having played golf for 60 years with many “tips” on how to swing, your videos are the best I’ve ever seen. Concise, yet thorough, simple to understand, and you are going to be a star! Excellent work!
Just came across you on RUclips two days ago . Cant tell you how much you have helped my game in a few areas that I was struggling with. I think you are the BEST instruction on RUclips. You explain and show both the correct and the wrong way to. Swing. You do it in a very clear and simple manner. Cant wait to see all your videos.
I have a right knee issue so I am leaning towards stack and tilt. I’m 77 so keeping the swing as simple as possible helps I’m enjoying your videos. Thanks mr. Jan ottens
Amazing clarity, simplicity with practical easy to implement points- simplicity at its best for the game which have been made complex but zillion on line videos each 18-20 min.. I am so glad, I found !! Keep doing the excellent work for the great game of golf.
Holy ish!!!! That was the best explanation of the club head path and low point explanation I've ever heard/seen. The noodle visualization is incredible and really helps me understand how I'm messing up. And another one JKM!
My swing needs tweaking and your advice is already producing results at the range. Thanks for your clear, precise teaching and drills! Much appreciated mate.
Simple, short, straight forward, and easy to understand! Awesome instructions for those who are struggling with golf. I watched several hundreds of videos and they're complicated and long. But, I like your approach! Please, keep them coming!
I am a really bad golfer and I could not lower my hcp, no matter what. It was stuck on 25ish for years. Main reason: extreme inconsistency in drives and longer clubs in general. I am sure most suffer from this, but I consider myself an extreme case. I typically lost around 9 balls per round (18 holes). My shortgame was disproportionally good, meaning whenever I managed to get within 100 yards of the green without lost ball, I would always make a par or bogey max. Then my new pro suggested a "shift delete" on my swing and built it up from scratch using stack and tilt and my hcp dropped 10 points to 15 within two seasons. I also feel confident behind the ball. I still hope to improve further, but I think to all people who struggle with long-club consistency, this could be a gift from heaven. Give it a try!
I really like your teaching style, Jonathan. I've watched a lot of S&T instructors on YT; some are way too technical for my learning style and others offer little in the way of explaining the theory behind the concept. You've struck a very good balance between theory and practice. For example, weight on the left foot: that was the first thing I benefitted from when I started S&T, but until now I didn't realize why. Great work. Liked & Subscribed.
Very informative analysis of how to get your weight on the left side and optimize the strike. Another instructor I watched talked about his belief that the critical contact was not getting to the viewer Because all of the detail. You have cut to the chase and given us some thing we can really work with. Thank you.
Jim Powell here. It seems that the stack and tilt would be a great way to play. Simply by putting 60-65% of your weight on your lead leg, while keeping your head still and simply turning your lead arm under your chin during the back swing and turning your right shoulder under with your downswing you should be very consistent in hitting the ball correctly.
Thanks Jonathan for those 3 tips of where it’s bottoming out in the swing… insightful when you used the noodle bc I have an out to in swing which tends to get too steep.
First, great job. My question is about the wrists. We know the wrists can hinge (back and forth like a door) and also cock ( up and down as in hammering a vertical nail) and also do some of both at the same time. Would you please describe how your wrists move in both the up and down swings? Thanks for the tips!
Hmmm this can get very details haha but in the backswing I feel like it stays flexed and in the downswing it is flexing more. This is a general explanation 👍
Great stuff Jonathan, I've only figured out this stack and tilt stuff after almost 30 years of playing golf. So I was glad to see it well explained. It's improved my golf a bit but I still strike my irons behind the ball sometimes. I think its due to early extension. I'm a fan!
This guy just fixed my "What am I doing wrong?" with a damn pool noodle . . . . *MindBlown* Needless to say, when your teenage son says "...dad...I'm not passing pre-calculus because my teacher sucks and doesn't know how to teach . . " now I gotta believe him.
minute 3.28/ radial extension = loss of low point control. Also is this resulting in early extension as well because we subconsciously and athletically lift up to avoid hitting ground and this leads to pushes/slices to right? thanks
Jonathan, you stated that an inside backswing would lead to hitting the ground before the ball. However, isn't one of the key factors of the SnT is "back in up" ?
I do like to use a lot of the concepts for people with specific issues because it really does help a lot of people but it is not the only concept I know of
I am one of those pkayers. I hit fat most of the time. Good points. I am in Houston, TX USA. Would my local Golftec have the same knowledge as you? Even including stack and tilt?
I would like to know what you are scoring with S&T as opposed to your conventional golf swing (assuming you were not using S&T from the start of your golfing)?
I was never taught Stack and Tilt specifically at any point but after learning about Stack and Tilt I found that I have been applying many of the concepts. When I was playing full time my handicap was around +3
I think it is imperative to be an expert on the golfing machine by Homer Kelley if you want to be the best golf teacher you can be. I was fortunate enough to be one of the last or the last instructor authorized by Mr. Homer Kelley.
Jonathan my suggestion. Why not just stress what is the right thing to do again and again. Trying to show what you should not do is confusing. Make shots to demonstrate several times. Action with shots is retained more in the memory. You are a good teacher.
I have adopted a lot of “Stack & Tilt” and, for the most part, I like it. But… I don’t care for the rigidity of the S&T “purists”. That is, I find keeping the weight left and left shoulder down really helps my ball striking, but trying to hit “positions during the swing, the “ten words”, even the “grid” is just too restricting. I feel the SWING is a movement, MOTION, and not rigid positions. But if you keep it simple and use STACK and TILT for your swing thoughts, it does help. Are there elements of “Stack & Tilt” that you DON’T care for? Love to hear more of your thoughts on this methodology.
Stack and Tilt is just a system for the swing but there are positions in the swing that can vary and don’t have to fit a certain mold. I think this would be a good video idea.
This man is the very best teacher I’ve watched in the 75 years I’ve played wish had instructions from him years ago tops!!!!
Agree
It's never too late. He is very good at explaining and making you understanding what works and what doesn't
In all the 87 years i've been playing golf this is the best instruction i've seen!

Fabulous Johnathan. I have watched hundreds of videos. This is by FAR the best. Thank you for making this so understandable.
Very good instructions. Simple and straightforward. Keep up the good job. Hate those 10+ mins videos

Excellent delivery sir 🙏🏻
Wow, wow, wow!! What a fantastic video and so concise and easily explained. Thank you 👍🏻
wow great job of explaining
5:10 Shows why a divot from a straight shot points slightly left.
Txs, JKMG very clear explanation. Helps to clarify contact and path for me.
Great Stuff especially the Noodle 👍
Thanks Jonathan for those 3 tips of where it’s bottoming out in the swing… insightful when you used the noodle bc I have an out to in swing which tends to get too steep.
OMG.... secret weapon was the noodle.... i thought initially you were speaking of the ball... earthshattering demonstration... much appreciated.
Played my best round this year today after watching your video this morning. 🏌️♀️
Congrats!!
very well explained 👍
Great video…..What tips do you have using woods and 3 & 4 irons (not hybrid) off the fairway ?
Clear and precise, thanks for the input. Shame that I`m in lockdown. Another Thumbs Up Jonathan.
Thanks for the advice.
good stuff
Well done young man well done , clear and concise instruction easy to understand!
I just subscribed to your channel
Pretty cool!
Dude, how can you make these things so clear!? Very cool.
Love the noodle visual! Thanks for a great video! (and subscribed!)
How much weight on your left leg on your back swing? Great video!
Speak to the impact of dynamically shifting weight forward during the swing to the point of striking the ground.
Which hand you hit. Your right or left hand on the downswing. Pls let me know. Thanks

very good video
Great vid 🤠
So good.
Hi Jonathan,
Great video. Do you have some good exercises to improve finding low point every time?
Thank you and kind regards
Michael
Brilliant thank you, that is light bulb moment

Do you have a drill for tip #2, controlling the radius
Love the video Jonathan. Can you do a vid on the Stack and Tilt method with a Driver?
Great lessons. Do we need the background music? Thanks.
Free lesson. Just get over it.
Clear succinct inviting
thank you

My question and Key, at your lowest point in setup, do you focus on the Low Point or the Golf Ball for solid ball striking?
For me personally I focus on Center contact but I know that I have control over low point. As a first step you should definitely think of low point
@@JKMGolf Center Contact to focus on the Ball or Low point with your Lead Shoulder
Jonathan, you stated that an inside backswing would lead to hitting the ground before the ball. However, isn't one of the key factors of the SnT is "back in up" ?
Nice instruction...do you base all of your lessons on Stack and Tilt?

What drils can improve this(club path) and corect inpact zone??

how to rotate the hip during transition when the weight is on the lead site?
Your the best ..
I liked the pool noodle demonstration

How I can use the grid to hit draw ans fade ?
Ball further back in the stance can promote a draw and vice versa
how about for a driver swing? I'm having success with the irons, but not sure about the driver
I have a video on my channel talking about the differences =D
So the third item..how do I swing on that path? Standing here with a golf club I am not sure on back swing and down swing where that path is?
nice content bro! hitting some excellent points. curious though about your Kim-Moss last name😂
So are you a stack and tilt instructor Johnny? I'm keen

I hope I can see it, stack & tilt with a driver on your utube. i tried with my driver but I felt it not like your lesson. Thanks.
