the hairs on my arms are standing. Saw this tour in Indianapolis. Before that it was 1980 at Indianapolis Convention Center with Humble Pie, Mother's Finest and Angel. Only thing different here is sans moustache!
Frank Marino + Pat Travers + Glenn Hughes + Carmine Appice = Supergroup. Who wouldn't want to see this happen. They've all run in the same circle at one time or another, so why not?
it almost happened but they couldn't get along back in 1993. glen hughes was not in the projector or travers.the bass player from Jefferson airplane was I believe .
That long haired dude looks like waddy wachtel, a session player who played mostly rhythm guitar. That would make sense, since everyone is there to hear Marino. He's playing a sunburst les paul that he always used, although that's probably a new reissue since the other is worth a fortune and too risky to tour with. But the look is there.
And in my brain....this is as good as the dvd. Great sound.. Good job. !! Amazing gig. Whatever acid trip ....when he was 14. Worked. And who-ever brought a camera to this ? Thank You !!
He was going to tour before they shut the world down due to Covid nonsense. He cancelled the tour. Now because of his health I'll never get the chance to see Frank live. Hope he gets well, best wishes Frank. Sending positive vibes your way....
It's funny, 129 comments, they all love Frank. 1 guy says he ripped off Jimi. Pretty good odds, right? He was influenced by Hendrix, obviously. I was/ am heavily influenced by Randy Rhoads, and you can hear it from me, just like you can hear Hendrix in Frank's playing. Every musician has influences. Calm the fuck down, dude.....
I saw this guy in 1980 at Painters Mill Theatre in the Round. Holy Sh**! Smoke was so thick....that was the era back then. No opening act, just 2.5 hours of jam like you’ve never heard. I was 16 then. I’ll never forget that one

Saw him with his bro on rhythm . He did not have much lead sound but he took a few short solos. Pretty hard to look good however when Frank is on a good night. That being said i am sure his bro is not too bad otherwise Frank would not have him on stage.
You can take your great Jimmy page and all the other so called great guitarists and shove him where the sun don't shine. This guy make them look like first year guitar students..😅
Actually the kid is pretty good. Frank has a bit more of a Santana flavor when he usually ays this one. The kid is more rock oriented but he is clearly a very solid player. Frank is tough match for everyone for sure. Not sure who the kid is on rhythm but i am not too worried for him. Great tone and vibrato. He has his shit together.
Yes I did kill the groove Fred, I admit it, but I was doing my best considering the fact that I am playing with Frank Marino, and I am was not really schooled in that style of free form Jazzy/Blues, and its Frank Marino, its not a challenge, its trying to fill in. Peace Mick
