    Thank you for mentioning the strict gun laws in Russia and how they failed. I have seen alot of channels talking about how people can own AKs in Russia but they don't mention how you can only own a 10 round magazine and the ridiculous licensing and constant police interviews. While some Russian gun laws are less strict than alot of Europe's. Russia is not this pro gun place that people make it out to be. I also hate how people are attacking the civilians over this. These were innocent people and people aren't responsible for what their government does especially if its a dictatorship. The perps of this crime were terrorists and they should suffer the full consequences of the law. Maybe one day people will be able to carry in Russia. The gun free zones need to end. They cause so much violence.

    • @alinanet94
      @alinanet94 Месяц назад +6

      That 10-round magazine limit is not really enforced. Realistically you can get punished if you go hunting with a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds (this limit is for hunting guns, and most long guns in Russia are registered as "hunting"). Higher capacity magazines are sold freely, and if you go to a range, nobody will care if you have a 30-round mag or even a drum for your AK or AR. Much worse is the "experience to buy a rifle", and now it has become the "experience to buy a mag-fed gun". Now a new gun owner in Russia is allowed to buy only break-action single-barrell or double-barrel shotgun. Two years after that you are allowed to buy a mag-fed shotgun. And after 3 more years you are finally allowed to buy a rifle.
      And ordinary people are not allowed to buy real handguns, only less-than-lethal thingies shooting rubber bullets with maximum energy of 89 Joules. For comparison - a 9x19 fired from a Glock 17 has around 250 Joules.

      @@alinanet94the shotgun rule has loop holes like the techrim semi smooth bore guns and Lancaster rifling. You can basically buy a rechambered svd and it's legally a "shotgun"

      Also this "dictatorship" is BS russian like putin and vote for him, every single western poll that tries to disprove this ends up finding out that russians fiercely defend putin in the 70-80%. The harsh reality a lot of gun nuts and westoids don't want to understand is that russia is a European country like any other and normal people find the concept of owning a gun let alone carrying one to shoot your fellow citizens an alien concept that only applies to those silly Americans. I speak Russian and watch russian gun channels and they all have the same complaints american channels do, that it's a niche hobby and people don't understand the importance of it. And after every one of these shootings there are politicians calling for more gun control just like in America. Dmitry peskov himself recently made a comment about civilians shouldn't be able to own military firearms and legal loopholes need to be addressed. All these govts and people are the same yes it's true america has more rights but more or less it's the same problem everywhere directionally speaking.

    • @alinanet94
      @alinanet94 Месяц назад +3

      @@rodiculous9464 not anymore - since summer 2022 all these "semi-rifles" with barrels that have paradox and Lancaster rifling are considered rifles. Now Russian gun manufacturers make these "shotguns" with completely smooth barrels (like VPO-285) and paradox extensions that thread on the muzzle end. And yes, now a new gun owner cannot buy a gun like this as a first gun - first own a shotgun without any magazine for 2 years.

    Unfortunately, we in Russia, have a very rough and complicated laws and process for gun purchase, and even you have it, you got no rights to wear it. You can have this right only if you get a special permission, or you just need to become a policeman or a member of FSS ( Federal Security Service).
    Other side of the medal, is that due at least 100 years of such rules, the people will just start to shoot each other on every small reason or conflict, because they don't have a culture of right weapon use, not only in technical use but in all other meanings including a mentality.
    Unfortunately, Russia is not America, your country has a long history of weapon, and most people objectively know and understand what it is. But the most important, your people think about weapon as a protection, but in Russia, most people think that weapon is an instrument to show who is the boss, and thats is pity.
    The most perfect illustration can be a movie "Makarov" where this aspect of mentality are shown very well.
    In fact, this is a huge field for discussion... I can give more information if someone need it.

    Cripes you are drawing a long bow on this one. It was terrorist attack, although I agree there is some oddities in it ie there is police station next door and a large military contingent 5 minutes away both took 90 minutes to get there shit together. However you must understand that the United States is the only civilised nation left on the planet that has "rights" in relation to the possession of firearms. I don't know any other countries that have that. It is more a "privalage" to have a gun in most countries these days including the one I live in and I do own firearms and use them a lot. One difference is the level of social violence and crime is a lot lower than the United States. Try to hold on to your rights as long as you can

    There seems/seemed something... fishy about this situation if its the same one i saw pictures on reddit of a couple weeks ago id say or so (10-15 days? Maybe like 2.5-3 weeks or so i think, it was the night/day of said event & i may be off time-wise). One of the perpetrators had an AK-12 that the handguard was hanging off of & appearead to have MELTED THE F OFF the gun it got so hot. Now i know AK's are the standard platform of Russia, but an AK-12? The latest & greatest, most modern military rendition of the Kalashnikov being acquired to use in a terrorist attack, which was apparently not only used by a single individual, ive heard that at least one other of the perpetrators had an AK-12 also. Although, i cant confirm or say for certain or even say confidently that more than one were used but its been confirmed via pictures of the discarded rifle i mentioned that at minimum one was involved/utilized. Regardless though, its unfortunate & horrible such an event transpired, i would like to see any other information or developments regarding this though & what the motivation(s) and/or who/what group(s) were responsible/involved/etcetera in this.

    I'm glad to hear that you have those views that you pointed out during this video, and I agree about US people protecting their rights to defend themselves. In other hand
    I think that people in the US do not deserve 2nd amendment rights any longer. If you read that amendment, he gives you the right to own firearms,
    but he also states that you have certain duties and obligations that come with that right. And nobody talks about that duty, but everyone wants those rights.
    If you don't live up to your duties you don't deserve those rights.

    Seriously need to research this event in its totality and ask questions based on the facts.. why was the first responder time so negligent when a police station was adjacent to the theater? Moscow is one of the most surveilled cities in the world, yet these guys got out the city in the same vehicle they arrived in.. how? While I tend to agree with the premise, spinning a “terrorist attack” in a terrorist state, to service arguments in favor of the 2nd Amendment (that doesn’t apply in their legitimately un-free state) is just weak.
