Well Tali(and Garrus) are only crew that loyal toward Sherpard from ME1 until ME3 that can be romance-able. Other love interest like Liara, Kaidan and/or Ashley, Jack, Miranda has turned their ways from Sherpard in ME2 and ME 3, because of other priorities or they just piss off that Sherpard chose to work with Cerberus. Either way, in the end, only Tali, Garrus and Joker stayed with Sherpard until the end. So thats why i always prefer Tali(Male Sherpard) or Garrus(FemSherpard) at ME3.
I am Tali's team but only Liara from Shep's crew worked to retrieve Shep's remains and gave him to Cerberus to revive him. So no ME2 (and 3) without Liara. Plus in ME2 she worked for future war to have intel.
This narrowsighted viewpoint is all too common and super annoying Tali of all people joins at the last possible time she can to the crew (both in ME2 and ME3), initially refuses to join you in ME2 because she has a job to do first, which is the most insignificant b*llcr*p. Meanwhile Liara risks her and her friends life, her career and connections to recover and save Shepards life, before ME2. During ME2 becomes one of if not the biggest assests to the fight against the Reapers.

I think it’s just a side effect of having to program this scene for both a shep that’s romancing liara and one that’s not. You can see it in some other scenes too where you have special music playing but the mood is just normal. Prob didnt think too much about it, but dont think it comes off so weird either.

How wrong they were. Anyway, I think if that was originally a planned concept in the first game, Tali was most likely "legal" in that sense at 22, just it would have been a little strange because she was on Pilgrimage (a rite to adulthood). I could be wrong and the Quarians have a different view on what is the legal age of consent.
When i play these games i always play the legendary collection. But what makes it worth it is i play once a year as sort of a tradition. i honestly can never really just play one game. I always do the complete trilogy from start to end. But once a year as i like to build up hype and interest over time because of that. It makes it way more fun and emersive that way for me. I do this because femshep and Liara is and always will be my canon in this series. Now if i was interested in male shep and other romances, then id play more often cause i would honestly have to. 😅 But ive tried playing other ways before but could never finish. I always end up going back to liara and femshep. It almost feels wrong for me to do any different. It also helps that Jennifer Hale is my favorite voice actress in gaming. (Next to Erica linbeck ovcourse)🎉.

well the whole premise of the Tali romance is that you fall in love with a girl that you don't know how it looks and can't properly touch because of her immunity system so ofc it feel a lot more like genuine love. Shepard fall in love with Tali mostly because of her personality and way she acts
Shepard doesn't die if you choose destroy ending and you have more than 4000 galactic power (or 3000? I don't remember). Destroy ending with enough power is the only way to save Shepard.
I mean, when you think about it, all the girls in ME1 are like a princess in distress being saved by a charming knight in silver armour. And I know Ashley doesn't fit that much in the maiden in distress category, but she was also about to get killed, so it kinda counts.

I just broke Liara's heart in ME3 and i felt terrible, since i romanced the crap outta her in 1. But i made my decision for Tali in ME2 (after pinning Jack to the wall... Sorry Jack) The drama!!

@@roggonval Liara's technically the 2nd oldest person on the whole of the Normandy (at least in the 1st game) and the 2nd oldest female overall at 106 duing the events of the 1st game, 108 during the second and 109 during the 3rd the only squadmates/ friends/ companions of Shepard I know of who are older than Liara are Wrex whose over 1000 years old and Samara whose close to 1000 years old.

The biggest letdown of ME's romances have always been Tali not being bi imo, because she'll never reciprocate my FemShep's crush on her.
