  • The widest autofocus rectilinear wide angle lens with a normal front element you can get for APSC. Is this enough to get your attention? I bet it is.
    Let's discuss about this lens in my review

    I love shooting architecture and like to get cinema looking images. Thats why I got this lens. If you like to shoot creative images, and like landscape photography. Then this lens is for them. This is not the first lens that people should get unless they want to shoot buildings. This lens feels magical to me, and I love this lens. It provides me a different perspective and it pushes me to think ahead when I am in the process of taking photo. People should have a picture in their mind before they get his lens. İt is also good for video, if you want to shoot vlogs.

    Such a thoughtful and clear presentation and your images are beautiful. When I travel I tend to use a general purpose zoom like the 16-80/f4. It seems like this lens would be an ideal, small addition to my bag to get those occasional shots inside tight interiors you get shown on a tour.

      It's this or the 10-24, but this is smaller and lightweight. I would not be against coupling them together. Worst case you can crop of this is too wide

    Nice video Luca. I bought one of these lenses last year and love it. It is obviously not an every day, every occasion lens, but when you DO need that extra wide ability, this lens is fantastic.

    Hello, Thank you for the up-close look at Mt.Etna. While I've lived my whole life in the U.S. ( mostly Buffalo, NY but currently in Norman, Oklahoma ) my Paternal and Maternal grandparents and my father lived in Sicily ( Serradifalco, Caltanissetta and Burgio, Agrigento. My father and grandparents emigrated to the U.S in 1913-14 ). Incidentally I currently am using an XT-5.

    Good to see you Luca. Well done and interesting review. This is a very specialized lens (as you mentioned), definitely not a toy that I want (or need) for what I do, the widest Fuji lens that I have is the XF16 f/2.8 (great performer) and just for sh#ts and giggles I got the Rokinon 12mm f/2 which I believe I only used once just to test it. Be well.

    For your landscape pictures, were you shooting AF single point or zone? Awesome pictures by the way and great video!

      Thanks! For landscapes I usually shoot manual focus of single point AF

    Ragazzo, I bought this lens and have used it some. It's good optically and can provide a unique perspective. It's very good build and image quality. Composure can be a challenge but that's half of the fun. I think it's really good all around and aspire to use it more. Ciao, fratello!

    Getting gopro-wide shots without the distortion and awful oversharpening look and objectively better video quality and dynamic range... this lens is so tempting

      It is, but also consider action can have way better stabilization, in addition to the clear size advantage

    Hello, great video. Would you recommend this lens for real estate work, or is it too wide? Thank you

    • @LucaPetraliaPhotography
      @LucaPetraliaPhotography  3 месяца назад

      It's probably not wide enough. I would at least go with the 14mm, or even the 10-24 (or sigma/Tamron counterparts)

    Nice video 👍 maybe the sigma 10-18mm would be a better and cheaper option?

      @LucaPetraliaPhotography  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks! I don't know if it's a better option, it all depends on how wide you need to get. If you need this wide, this is great, otherwise other lenses like the Sigma may be a better choice. But I haven't tried the Sigma 10-18, so I can't speak for it

    Lente fantastica ma ho preferito prendere 8b16 mm 28 usato
    perché la differenza di prezzo con l'otto fisso è troppo esigua quella lente dovrebbe costare 600 euri non 900 perché spendendo €150 più mi sono preso una lente nettamente superiore
    Se questa lente sta a €600 usata Il discorso cambia completamente

      Però pesi e ingombri sono molto diversi, e la possibilità di montare filtri è una cosa impagabile
