- How to make a large cement pot at home? #cementpot #cementplanter #concreteplanter
It is simple and easy to make large cement pots / planters at home. In this video, I made a 14" wide cement pot using a water tub. For the concrete mix, I used sand (1.5 parts), marble powder (0.5 parts) and cement (1 part). White marble power (also known as jeera) gives extra strength to your concrete planter. Making cement pots at home is fun and gives more satisfaction than purchasing a planter from the market. I suggest you to use gloves to avoid any cement burns during the making process. Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You make it look so easy! Also, thanks for the tip about marble powder. I did not know that it strengthens the cement; and, I use it to mix my own gesso for painting. Now I really can justify buying it in bulk. ☺️
Yes marble powder provides great strength to the planter.. 👍🏻

When i did it, its edge breaking. What is the reason? Plzz reply in english
You can use a small rubber ball to smooth the inside when making the a planter.
Thanks bro i will use it next time
Caststone do you know where can we find the silicon or plastic cast to obtain those beautiful designs like the ones you have displayed in your RUclips channel?
Gracias.
Thanks, I will surely follow your advice in the next project :)
amezing

It does not require final cement layer?
That is optional. If you want the pot to look smooth go for the cement layer.
Ficou muito legal eu adorei
Obrigado :)
Achei lindo! Parabéns! Ja me inscrevi .
Thanks Cibele, cheers 👍❤
Mane all yek pot banana that orvahos bargain we also nhi hubs may kare
Beautiful work, but how does your skin feel after working with cement? My hands were peeling.😵
Hi Evie, thanks for your comment. The skin feels normal because I apply oil (mustard oil) on my hands before working with cement. Secondly the concrete mix that I use is not soggy. I suggest you to apply a lot of oil on your hands if you wish to work with cement barehanded (without gloves). I got minor burns once I was working with a soggy mix. Cheers.
Good job
Thank you
MUY BUEN TRABAJO.. good job
Thanks Rossy 👍🏼
Muchas Dias

super vedio Sir but what you have added that white powder please Reply
Bro its white marble powder (jeera in hindi) .. its added for extra strength 👍
thank you very much but from were can we buy this powder and in how much cost for 1 kg please reply
u can get it from any marble / granite store in ur city. Its around Rs 5 - 8 per kg..
thank you very much
Would white cement instead of grey cement , along with marble dust and sand be as strong? Also if I were to paint the outer side what paint would I need to use?
White cement is not as strong as regular cement. You can do 1 coat of cement primer and 1 coat of emulsion paint. You can check my latest video (small cement pot) for details regarding paint / primer.
Instead of marble powder what we use sir
You can use 2 parts sand and 1 part cement
done
Suena igual

Quais os ingredientes?
Sr mera pot bn jane ke baad toot rha he to me kya kru jisse vo toote na
Naya fresh cement use karo, aur pot banane ke baad 7-10 tak curing karo paani se..
Is not too dry on the bottom?
Nope
Valeu ótimo
👍🏻
What is the ratio of cement and sand if im not adding marble powder ? Thanks.
2 parts sand, 1 part cement. The planters that they sell in the market have 4-5 parts sand and 1 part cement and that is why they don't last long. 2:1 should be the ratio for a robust planter.
@@PlanterDays thank you for the response. :)
Que vaso mas demorado. Tanta água.
Water is good for curing. Cure the pot for at least 10 days.
Porque tanto tempo?? Solo SE deja 2 dias
Rossy sorry i was not able to understand your comment.
He asks “why so much time? It should only have taken 2 days”.
Thanku sr
You are welcome bro :)
I HAVE MADE THESE AND IT ONLY TOOK 2 DAYS, WHY SO LONG, STRANGE
Hi Anthony, curing of concrete is a long process and takes 5 - 7 days.
Sarson ka..
12 days for small pot😏
Yup
No
marble powder kahape milega muzeplz reply
Swati ji hardware godown par milega jahan marble / granite milta hai
ok
Amei ficou lindo
Long process
large? we make 1-2meters pots
I would call them "Extra Large".
How Kong to cure in the sun
Better cure it in shade instead of direct sunlight. If you wish to cure it under sun, try to keep the concrete moist.
12 dias para hacer una horrible maceta
I am sorry you did not like it. Btw It took only a day to make the pot, the other days are for curing of concrete.
10 days to long...
Curing of concrete is a long process. The wait is really worth it :)
I'd rather prefer to buy one from Home Depot, only 5$....
What you call that a planter
It is so ugly my wife would toss it out...
Super
Thanks bro
