As someone who works in a Tesco pharmacy I can assure you, people yelling is not an uncommon thing.. It is always my fault nothing is in stock, its my fault I don't know when its coming back in stock, its my fault your doctor hasn't sent your prescription or even better, its my fault that the doctor you saw in A&E that you waited 6 hours to see, hasn't actually signed that prescription and you have to go back because it is not legally a valid prescription... That one really gets people going. My manager is great though, he once had a go at a customer because he called a staff member a cunt because he wouldn't sell him co-codamol for the third time in a week.
Hey, long time fan of the podcast and the Yogscast. Probably no one will see this but I’m one of the poor bastards working in the few retail stores still operating and I was massively humbled and grateful for the credit you guys are giving us. Thank you for recognising our efforts during these rough times and thanks for still working to entertain too!
I'm a support worker that works at a supported living home for young vulnerable adults with learning difficulties. Today I'm watching this at 11 at night as I've just got home after a 14 hour shift from 8am - 10pm while everyone's in isolation and everyone I support is panicking which has made things very difficult ATM. I can not express how much coming home to funny content like this helps. Thanks guys and keep it up :)
I love the fact that Lewis said one of his favorite comedy shows of all time is TPB, honestly made my day. I felt like I connected to him on a whole new level.
I got a shit rap song, unfortunately I couldn't skip it so for the next 3 minutes I had the worst mumble rap i ever heard. In the end I actually got out the shower to skip it
Thank you guys so much for putting one of these out today. Isolation is starting to drive me insane and my area just implemented a stay at home order for the next 2 weeks.
I never actually listened to the Triforce even though I knew I'd like it (just didn't have time), but seeing as we're on lockdown I decided I'd check it out. I'm now in love with it as I thought I would be!
I worked at McDonald’s a few years ago, one guy really started to push his luck at the drive through. I almost jumped out of the window and throttled him! Although in the U.K. our staff/managers are better at telling customers to get lost if they aren’t behaving.
I work at a cloakroom in a club, and I get yelled at a lot by drunk or drugged up people. But we do not allow negative/aggressive people in our club, and as soon as they do, they are in the wrong and I can do what I want, I don't have to always be polite, they're not the king, and I will humiliate them if needed or just kick them out. It's great. And often they're too drunk to even remember. And I think that rule should apply to regular retail too. Don't allow negativity or aggression in the store. If they won't get calm, talk back to them, kick them out.
I bet you also probably deal with a lot of "confused drunks" who can't remember what their number was, or even what their coat looks like hahahah Definitely not speaking from experience there hahahahah.... hahah..
Lewis needs to buy the house! It would be wonderful. They could then make a show like the one from the 90, about home repair, and the neighbors, the actor from the santa clause movies... Little show there, yup, maybe, surprise sips guest episode's...couple of friends living crazy grown up lives.
Lewis... you are likely two weeks from a scenario like that if the supply chain stops. As long as people are getting food we are fine. Some say 3 days from the stop of supply, but two weeks into that your tap water won't even be drinkable without boiling it.
Well, for the vast majority of people it really isn't anything. Everything we are doing, staying home and all that, is out of respect for the fraction of the population who are at serious risk, not for ourselves.
Some people don't make much working for the airliners but still rely on the income. A more challenging game would be to name a massive company or organization that is completely honest or decent in general.. lol.
sips if you see this, if you want to know how to make the best greenhouse it should have one wall which is a brick wall and the others glass, then you just have to make sure it's positioned well. Entirely glass green houses might get a lot of warmth in the day but they lose a lot of heat a night unlike if you have a brick wall which absorbs the heat. China is currently using this basic technology to grow massive amounts of food.
God the stories of all the insane people my brother has had to deal with in his minimum wage job, as Pyrion said a good manager can make all the difference
I am one of the managers for a seafood restaurant. I remember one morning this couple came in and sat in one the booths by the bar. Any who, this couple ordered cocktails from the server who proceeded to get the drinks from the service bar area, they drink all of it, eat their whole meal, and pretty much pay out. Before they left however, this guy started harassing my bartenders asking who made his drink and no one can tell him because when a ticket comes up the bartenders just... make the drink. I walked up at the right time in which the guy was getting angry and starting raising his tone and I approached him asking him what was wrong. He proceeds to tell me that his drink was "Piss poor, piss poor, and I wanna know who made that drink!", his lady friend behind him said it tasted like juice (despite the drink being made with margarita mix so and so forth). I automatically assumed this guy was going to claim racism (he was black) and that one of the bartenders was trying to racially discriminate him by not putting any alcohol in his drink? So I tell him straight up, "Look, I am sorry your drink didn't come out to your standards but if you have an issue with something you get manager and not target my employees like that.". The guy, very clearly just said "Why are you saying targeting like that?! Especially in this day and age! Why did you say that!" and I just looked at him dumbfounded because I knew if he ever found out who made his drink, he would legit target them for his own verbal assaults. He then asked for my GM who was working that day and she just briefly explained to him that all frozen cocktails made with margarita are premade with alcohol and that the drink he ordered contained the highest ABV content that we could legally sale in stores. She wasn't too happy with how I worded my statement, but she understood my mentality and that I was protecting my own employees. I don't care if you think you're right, you still don't have the right to verbally abuse someone.
Would love to know due to me relating to pyrions way of thinking if he gain panic attack during his later years or if it's always been a consistent problem
You say most people don't yell at people Lewis, but I work in a theatre which is frequented by a lot of old ladies, and I've got to say, they yell at people for anything. I'd say at least once a day we get some old lady complaining that staff is being rude because they were being asked to pay for their ticket.
Just to clear something up, the reason you shouldn’t take ibuprofen isn’t because it’s an anti-inflammatory. It’s because it’s an anti-pyretic. Ibuprofen will help to suppress a fever, the fever which is a mechanism to help fight the virus. As far as I’m aware, other anti-inflammatory medicines are completely fine to take.
I work in a super market and im pretty used to having ppl come up to me and start yelling or complaining about something:P i am a pretty chill guy and its hard to get me worked up about this kind of shit, i usually let them say what they need to say and just give them a cheeky smile and tell I understand, and they ussually calm down when they realise what they are super angry about is a pretty small and dumb thing^^ unless they are idiots and wont calm down about the onion they bought 2 weeks ago was roten when they were gonna use it yesterday:P
Listening to these help my anxiety in this time. I loved Pyrion's comments about dick head retail customers. Seeing a manger side with the customer is worst bloody thing. Morale in the group drops as does trust.
Well the thing with giving teachers more money, at least in the US, is that 50% of all the money given to the school system goes to paying the pension of retired teachers, people who haven't taught in years.
I'm not sure if I buy the argument that we should respect jobs/pay more for them because they're "essential" jobs should be paid and respected by their workload and difficulty yes, stocking shelves in a supermarket is essential, but it's still an unskilled job and I won't suddenly equate it with being a nurse for example. that said, the current situation highlights that some of these jobs *are* underpaid for the amount of work they normally do, and criminally underpaid for the increased workload they might have now
I don't know how Pyrion can say that Mrs Brown's Boys is the most unfunny thing ever in a world where Everybody Loves Raymond, The Sarah Silverman Program and The Big Bang Theory exist.
I feel like it should be pointed out that the anti-inflammatory/ibuprofen thing was a hoax. Whilst your first course of action with a fever coming on should be taking paracetamol, there seems to be no actual harm in taking ibuprofen (besides normal side effects, of course.)
I think one of the few places with a good reaction is the F1 world. People with a subscription get refunds for the races that are cancelled. The official channel is featuring old races so people can watch something. And the community around F1 is organising online races where official drivers race along esports legends on sundays. Yeah Lewis Hamilton is of to some beach not giving a fuck like usual. But a lot of racers are caring about the fans who have been anxious a whole winter for the new season, to then have the epidemic go pandemic days before the first race. Talk about blue balls.
Jeez, I’ll never understand the pure hatred so many people have for Mrs Browns Boys. It is what it is like and people seem to enjoy it. No ones forcing you to watch it?
"Atleast in China their haven't been any new cases over the past few days."
PFlax "So they say."
My sentiments exactly
thats the kind of elaborate cover they would make up if it was actually a spy house you realize that right ?
This honestly makes my isolation so much better i'm so happy rn
Zeldaniel I know. The frequency of uploads during this epidemic is amazing :D
Richtofen they can’t go anywhere
Honestly the best thing about corona is that triforce is forced to stay at home and record instead of taking 30 fucking vacations a year.
Pyrion found out too much information about the spy house and they created an elaborate cover-up story
I prefer to believe this
Sips is telling a story for the second time again, lol.
Have you seen this podcast before, thats like the main theme lol
Taylan Yildirim I have, I was just surprised that the other two didn't realize or point it out, haha.
Taylortot they’re probably so numb to it by now they just didn’t notice or went along with it.

Who’s ready for a possible 60-120 Triforce compilation soon? Me please
Don't forget episodes 99.1 -> 99.9
Every new episode is a compilation of the previous 100 episodes.
This may be the greatest episode of Triforce! ever - the saga of this house has gripped me.
Hi guys. A shoutout from Italy. The podcast really helps these days. Keep up the good rambling and be safe
I love the fact that Lewis said one of his favorite comedy shows of all time is TPB, honestly made my day. I felt like I connected to him on a whole new level.
I get 1% more crotchety every time I listen to this podcast
Does anyone know that Sips once got charged £1800 instead of £180 at the pet shop?
I like that they use 'Epidemic' sound for their music. Very topical.
Well-timed advert there.
"A message went up in my flat which said... " "Introduction to Fractional Shares.."
Thanks for the podcast guys.
I got a shit rap song, unfortunately I couldn't skip it so for the next 3 minutes I had the worst mumble rap i ever heard. In the end I actually got out the shower to skip it
I got "there was nothing sane about Chernobyl" hahaha
perfect thing for a lockdown, stay safe lads
Thank you guys so much for putting one of these out today. Isolation is starting to drive me insane and my area just implemented a stay at home order for the next 2 weeks.
My first ep working from home and i am stoked lads
Thank you triforce for keeping us entertained though the lockdown.

The only good thing about the corona is that these guys can't escape the triforce podcast. FINALLY WEEKLY UPDATES

22:28 thanks for the recommendation, just watched the first season
I love the voice Luis does at 42:23
Lewis needs to buy the house! It would be wonderful. They could then make a show like the one from the 90, about home repair, and the neighbors, the actor from the santa clause movies... Little show there, yup, maybe, surprise sips guest episode's...couple of friends living crazy grown up lives.
48:16 "i have sworn an oath of solitude until the blight has been purged from these lands "
Man I’m listening to this in 2022. Little did they know the rona shit storm that was coming!! LUL!
Lewis... you are likely two weeks from a scenario like that if the supply chain stops. As long as people are getting food we are fine. Some say 3 days from the stop of supply, but two weeks into that your tap water won't even be drinkable without boiling it.
expecting plenty of updates on this greenhouse.
Hate to break it to you all, but there is a whiskey brand that is called Dickel.
Here in the states a moustache is practically part of the uniform for firefighters
I'd keep that bike shed very separate from the green house unless you wanna ride a bucket of rust
thanks
Quarantine just got 10 times better... for 54:29 anyway
Anyone else notice how often Sips said "eh" in the second half. He's letting his Canadian slip out lol
Remember when just a few episodes ago sips was talking about coronavirus like it was nothing, jokingly? Yeah that aged pretty well isn't it.
Well, for the vast majority of people it really isn't anything. Everything we are doing, staying home and all that, is out of respect for the fraction of the population who are at serious risk, not for ourselves.

Speaking of Non-'From the street' Rappers.....love to see what the Triforce crew thinks of Professor Elemental.
I don't know if we are going to see an actual zombie reclamation of our darkers, but it's certainly something to keep in mind as a possibility?
Great vid lads, I would like to put forward "home time". Regards

As someone who worked in a shop, people shouting at employees for no reason is not rare haha
It's incredile how many important jobs people take for granted, and it's a shame that it took a major pandemic for people to see their value.

So nothing special about 4 years of Triforce #1.
Jeez, I’ll never understand the pure hatred so many people have for Mrs Browns Boys. It is what it is like and people seem to enjoy it. No ones forcing you to watch it?
