Respectfully: The Salazar fight is definitely the hardest fight in the game. However, I found the primary reason new players struggle with him is that they over-fixate on *only* shooting him when his weak-spot is exposed. I thought he only took dmg when his monster mouth was open. This is not true. Just shooting him in general *will* add up over time and eventually lead to a down, and expose Salazar for big dmg. Take pop shots with your rifle and tmp when he's darting around and after he acid spits, shotgun him when you dodge his insta-death bite, use your handgun to detonate his snot mines, then chuck grenades, heavy grenades, blast him with magnum when he's down. Rinse repeat and you'll defeat him in 2mins. Hope this helps and changes your opinion on Salazar if you replay the game (This advice applies to Hardcore mode btw).

ive replayed it a couple times but still always waited until he was exposed to try and shoot. this is very good information to have lol.
