Just watched your Elden Ring video and subscribed on my main account. Glad to have found yet another criminally underrated channel. Hope you keep on making great content and have your breakout moment soon. Now I'll move on to watching the rest of your videos lol Something I'd like to note though, is how relatable your videos are. Like for Elden Ring, I genuinely loved the game, and genuinely felt accomplished and proud at the end of it. I think over my couple of decades of playing video games, I've found that no game is flawless. It's just that with some games we're having such a great time that we're willing to ignore the flaws, and some don't raise to that bar and suck all around. With Elden Ring, I was more than willing to ignore the flaws, and it's one of those games that I'm "proud" to have played (right next to RE4, NFS:MW 2005, and the good OG CoDs). But I absolutely agree that a game can be good, even great, but not phenomenal as some may make it out to be. Case in point, God of War was exactly like that for me. Really enjoyed the game, will buy Ragnarok if it ever releases on PC, but it didn't rock my world 🤷🏻♂️ Elden Ring was my first From Soft game. What baffled me the most was the fan base though. I just didn't understand the toxicity. Those very people that say camera angles suck in big boss fights because that's what the "Greater Will" (i.e. From Soft) intended, are the people that say you shouldn't use summons, even though that's an even more explicit intention of the devs. And I will never forget when I posted something on Reddit to thank the developers for the experience and how their great work made me feel. The barrage of negative comments about how "cringe" my post is just made me delete it all together! All I wanted was to tell my personal story about how my first From Soft game made me realize what the fans have been raving about for close to a decade, and how the game made me adjust my views on the irl challenges I was facing at the time. And I got so many "cringe" comments for that that I was like well now I hope the devs don't ever see this and how their fans treat a new-comer 😂 Anyway, sorry for the long rant (maybe I should start making videos lol). All I wanted to say was that I'm enjoying your videos and views, your comments on Elden Ring resonated with me even if I didn't particularly agree with some, and now I'll go watch your video on RE4. Looking forward to seeing you rise in the gaming commentary community 🤟
Quick little correction: Atreus saying he wants to turn into an animal isn’t *just* because he is a naive little kid, but also a hint towards the fact that he is Loki, since Loki could shape shift ;) granted, Atreus didn’t know that, so I guess it’s technically more of a bit of foreshadowing from the devs. Otherwise a great video and I think most of the criticism is valid! I appreciate that you look at both the good and bad in games and aren’t afraid to voice your honest opinions! Keep it up! Edit: oh, yeah, and to address that issue you had with getting stuck in a stun lock from enemies attacking you: I also ran into this once or twice and was also rather frustrated by how it worked, but what I found worked to break out of it is to have Atreus shoot at arrow at the enemy attacking. Granted that doesn’t work well during the part of the game where you aren’t with Atreus, like the clip in your video.
