Mine wasn’t making a noise at all but the blue light was on . I opened the pump and cleaned out the gear with water and it started to work again ! Thanks !
In my case it was the motor that got “stuck”, so disassembled the plastic casing where the motor is, and could see that the wheels wasn’t turning, it was just clicking. So I separated the motor from that plastic thingy too, and with some tools I “helped” the little pin spinning, as it was kinda stuck in place. And boom, it was working again. Quite satisfying 😂 Thank you for this video, we were about to throw it out when I stumbled across your video. 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment I greatly appreciate that and I’m glad that we save something from going into the landfill Isn’t an awesome feeling when you can fix something Thanks again for commenting much appreciate it have a great day Ray
thank you so much!!!! thanks to you I've repaired my one, I got it in auction and was a second hand one( I thought was new in the box) and when I tried didn't work, now thanks to you and my skills is working properly. thanks from UK!!
That’s awesome that that’s working now I’m so glad that I could help and I really do appreciate you commenting specially all the way over from the UK Thank you this comment made my day Ray
Mine is worst, the motor is not running so I test it directly to the battery and its working fine, so the board is the problem. I cleaned the board with WD40 and it works. The video makes it easier for me to open the inside. Thanks!
Great video, Using this it was an easy repair on my unit that would not dispense anything and couldn't even hear the motor working at all. It was also invaluable when you try to put the unit back together since it is not as intutitive as I originally thought
Thanks! I ran into a similar issue but I had to open the motor as it was still making no sound. Turned out one gear was lose and not making contact with the other, put them back into place, closed and all good again!
I have just put mine back together, then watched this video. I think my motor has stopped working. Am still getting the first noise yours was making. Will take apart again and do the tubes again as mine were stuck on and one of them was held on with thick glue
If it’s making a popping sound, try watering down or putting hot water to break down any soap deposits that are stuck in the pump area. I wish you all the best of luck. Ray
Thank you so much for posting this video. I guess my dish soap was too thick as well. I bought it because a friend has it and it was great. I'll have to ask her which soap she uses.
I had the same problem. It was not moving. I've disassembled and assembled everything and now motor is moving, but it looks like it got not enough power to move the liquid up. If I remove the tube from output soap goes out from it, however the amount of it is not so big. Any idea if it can be the motor or mechanism?
The only suggestion that I could have is run hot water through the piping first then try the soap again. There could also be other reasons such as inconsistent wall thickness of the tubing. Is it possible part of the tubing wall got compressed Another possible cause could be the thickness of the soap it’s one of those things if I had the unit in front of me, it would be easier for me to diagnose what it is Thank you for taking the time to comment. It’s much appreciated. I wish you all the best. If you find a different solution, please share with the community. Ray
@@shopandmath Thank you for your response. What is happening is on the video: ruclips.net/video/ipKadDBLjOQ/видео.html Basically the liquid gets back. If I put the output higher then there won't get out.
Great video but was this supposed to be a repair tutorial? How did you actually fix the pump before 5:40 once you stated you blew in the pump? Can you do a follow-up video of the cleanup or what did you actually do?
Thank you for your reply I will need to review the video again to see if there’s any missing footage I was super surprised At how simple the system actually is and how repairable 1 Before you contemplate any repair install new batteries 2 listen to the activation You must see the light it’s a dim blue light during activation Do this test with no soap in the unit and clean it with hot water There’s two possible outcomes at this point The pump sound is quiet and a short duration which means the pump is clogged in the unit needs to be fully stripped down and the pump cleaned Or there is a long pump duration and it’s loud This means the soap is not getting to the pump which will require cleaning the soap out at first with warm water and cycling I only paid five dollars for mine with no tax from the restore It is used every day in the main bathroom The only problem that I found so far is when you get up in the middle of the night without the bathroom light on and you go to turn the water on the blue light and the other Motor sound gives you a little bit of a jolt because you think it’s lightning If this doesn’t answer your question please feel free to leave to ask more questions
@@shopandmath I ended up cracking it open myself to have a look. You are correct it is indeed a simple system. Changing the battery prematurely before the light turns red seems like a huge design flaw however. Regardless, I cracked it open and ended up removing the motor from the housing and placed a drop of 3-in-1 motor oil on both ends of the shaft and cleaned up the rubber seal. I have to test it more but my problem was that the amount dispensed greatly diminished over a month and it seems like the motor just suffers from a lack of an anti-reversal latch because the soap flows backwards over time back into the reservoir from 1-2 hours of no-use.

Amazing video! In my case some old soap was stuck in the tube, after removing that frome the tube the dispenser worked! Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
And thank you for taking the time to comment. It’s much appreciated.

Thanks! I ran into a similar issue but I had to open the motor as it was still making no sound. Turned out one gear was lose and not making contact with the other, put them back into place, closed and all good again!
That’s excellent
It’s nice after a completed fix

Thank you so much for posting this video. I guess my dish soap was too thick as well. I bought it because a friend has it and it was great. I'll have to ask her which soap she uses.
Both the pump and the tube to the nozzle were clogged up on mine. I had to use a pipe cleaner to get the tube cleared.
That’s excellent
Most people would just throw it away and buy a new one
Hope the video helped

So good
Can you use foaming soap in the dispenser
To my knowledge you cannot put foaming soap in one of these dispensers
It needs to be a thicker soap or it will go back into the main container
Just good
Good
Super

1 Before you contemplate any repair install new batteries
2 listen to the activation
You must see the light it’s a dim blue light during activation
Do this test with no soap in the unit and clean it with hot water
There’s two possible outcomes at this point
The pump sound is quiet and a short duration which means the pump is clogged in the unit needs to be fully stripped down and the pump cleaned
Or there is a long pump duration and it’s loud
This means the soap is not getting to the pump which will require cleaning the soap out at first with warm water and cycling
I only paid five dollars for mine with no tax from the restore
It is used every day in the main bathroom
The only problem that I found so far is when you get up in the middle of the night without the bathroom light on and you go to turn the water on the blue light and the other Motor sound gives you a little bit of a jolt because you think it’s lightning

In my case, the light turns on but the blue light does not blink and the soap does not come out. I do not know what solution would be appropriate
Does the motor make a sound like it’s trying to work
