I'm trying to learn how to do these for myself, but it would be good to get a master's perspective on how to go about laying out the project, what you look for and planning out this type of thing..? The rechnique is once you wrap or cover the wire with clay, make sure don't over do it, as much as possible don't put too much pressure or pressing it around cause that may cause the clay to fall out instead of adhering to the wire, another technique you can do is, sand the wire a little bit to roughen the surface maybe the clay will adhere in that way, more effective than using a shinny smooth wire.

Actually, some of these old tools I've used in this video were customized by me. They're just handles of brushes. But now I'm no longer using them because they become brittle due to the chemical reaction caused by the polymer clay.

Can you please give me some insight on how you sculpt the "U" shapes on the sides of the scorpion's body? I am a complete beginner to this. Do you use a pointed tip to draw the lines on, or do you use a curved tool?

Use aluminum wire for thin parts, not all the time clay will do.

what tool is the purple one you use? I am not able to find it on the internet.
They are just handles of my vrushes, grinded down using dremel grinder, curved and shape according to my purpose.😊
