    Your beetles are absolutely amazing!! It is the first time I've met someone else who makes beetles of clay, I also make some but of air-dry clay 🙂

      @@LifeofClay actually, I've made one, though I'm not really satisfied with that one, but now I feel inspired to try once again 🙂 Thank you🤗

    This is incredible! WOW.
    I was wondering about the bottom section of the legs. Are those just wire or do they have clay on them?

    • @LifeofClay
      @LifeofClay  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Shari, The bottom part of the legs or the foot is just wire to which I attached pointy shape plastic bristles for the claws and add dot of epoxy to imitate the segments of the foot(tarsus). i'm very sorry tat this video audio was ruined because of the copyright issues of the background music I've used. and I'm not as good in narrating way back then lol😅😅 thank you so much, my dear friend.

    You should do a giant leopard moth next. They are my favorite moth and bug, and I feel like you would represent it beautifully. Your work has really inspired me to move away from the animals I am used to sculpting and make more diverse species, thank you and keep up the amazing work!

    let me ask you some questions, what kind of polymer clay do you use? what do you think of DAS clay? once again, keep on this awesome work.

    • @LifeofClay
      @LifeofClay  4 года назад +6

      I will tell you honestly based on my experience with Air dry clays, like DAS. Its a bit challenging on how you manage to do detailed works due to its fast drying characteristics. On the other hand, polymer clay stay soft not until you bake it in a certain temperature and time. Meaning you can work with your detailing for plenty of time, giving you the chance to correct to add or to change whatever you see imperfect on your sculpture before baking it and become solid.

      @@LifeofClay thanks, and what about the detail making on DAS?

    • @LifeofClay
      @LifeofClay  4 года назад +1

      I will upload soon how to deal with DAS or any other Air dry clay bro, i had request also from other of our friends about this matter.

    Can I ask how you bake the legs? Do you lay them on a surface or use that eraser to hold them up?

    • @LifeofClay
      @LifeofClay  11 месяцев назад

      I have made a air dry clay block where I added poke holes on it and I use it to hold each leg upright by their wires. You can watch me demonstrating the same method and showing the air dry clay holder in my other videos especially with my creepy crawlers. Thank you so much, my friend.😊

      @@LifeofClay Oh I see! Thank you so much for answering! I wasn't sure you would since the video is older, but I really appreciate it! I'll look out for it in your videos. And thanks for also making such in depth tutorials! I'm just starting out with clay, but your videos help so much! Thanks again!☺

      @@HeadPhonz you're most welcome, my friend. I hope you may enjoy sculpting and I'm sure you will😊
      It's just that, some of my old videos audio had been ruined because of copyright issues. But then atleast in some of my latest one are in good shape and you can follow the step-by-step instructions clearly. Thank you so much once again.🤗
