Longboarding isn't all about dancing or tricks, it doesn't matter if you aim to progress or if you just want to cruise, its all about fun, if they enjoyed it then so be it. nuff said.

Things have changed a lot. 6 years ago this was awesome, it still is but now that there are so many pro dancers and more defined longboarding styles, this isnt as impressive as it once was.

my girl's got the diamond drop 40, i love it! fantastic board in my opinion. she's more into the sliding and tricks, i'm more of a long distance cruise/chill type.

Well sliding is one way, but not necessarily the safest haha. Probably the safest way to stop at high speeds without sliding is a footbrake: dragging your back foot on the ground to slow the board. I've started using my heel because after a while it will wear out the soles
they are super long, easily 50+ inches. they almost look like 5 footers, useful if you're doing dancing and board walking or general dicking around. they have a lot of real estate on em, i really want one
I prefer as long as I can, but I´m trying to make my own longboard my myself, I know some places where I can get the wood, but I´m afraid to broke it, could I make the board by myself in that size and not to broke it? and, which is its size? i liked it very much

My brother has a custom longboard that's just as long as that, is a bit thinner, and has larger wheels. It feels awesome to ride.
