- Cricketers Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft have been sent home early from Australia's tour of South Africa over the ball-tampering scandal.
The trio are set to learn their fate within the next 24 hours, Cricket Australia has said, with their sporting careers in jeopardy.

This is why they got sent home. Not for cheating, that's the Australian way, but for getting caught. A news report even tried to pass the blame to the South Africans saying they had set a trap for the Aussies. Australians would NEVER cheat...BS!

Why did the authorities not listen to the South Africans when they complained of Australian ball tampering in the first test? Warner clearly had abrasive and excessive bandaging on his fingers. Warner was then moved to the slips and Bancroft took over as ball shiner (scratcher).

Good point Wayne, ALL bandaging should be removed from ALL bowler's hands when they are bowling in my book.
David - I would agree with that. Regarding Warner, my guess is that he wanted dirt to adhere to all his plasters which would then be used to scuff the ball. After the South Africans complained, Bancroft could hardly use the same tactic, so a piece of sticky tape was used.

There's a human element to this, 3 people have forever tarnished their names and careers, their lives and families lives through a silly little act. There is no winner in this scenario and some things being said by people (albeit on the internet what should I expect) is absolutely disgusting. The correct punishment was made and these guys and the whole Australian community have alot of work ahead of them to try and reconcile errors of the past. Think about everyone's welfare in this scenario and the damage it has caused before you decide to threaten and abuse these people and their people. Like I said, no winners here, everyone has lost something because of this.

I'm shocked how the coach wasn't fired right away.. I would expect the whole coaching staff to be fired right away and even crackdown on the upper people in Australian cricket.
Mitchell starc is also very much aware of that but any team can find a batsmen but not bowlers so hence blame wasn't passed onto bowlers
