Avelo is growing like crazy. I flew Avelo from HVN-PBI in August and it was really good, but sadly, they don’t offer free snacks onboard anymore. I can’t wait for Avelo to expand even more and to fly with them again!
Lakeland Linder Airport between Orlando and Tampa is having their first Avelo Flight actually their first passenger flights in 10 years to and New Haven Tweed Airport which that started on June 13th.
Love your content. Your intro beats is 💯 . As I watch this I’m remembering your west coast avelo itrip report prompted me to totally re-arrange my plans in CA for the way better! Thanks!
That water cannon salute in HVN was very close to being a bad day. They definitely sprayed foam instead of water - that's a mandatory engine change if foam is ingested into the core of the engine...
Update: Flying with Avelo from HVN to RDU airport was a short convenient flight for me 1:35min both flights weren't full 150-175 passenger I'm thinking max cap is 189-195. Long story Short if Avelo is flying somewhere you need or want to go/visit in the US choose them + extremely CHEAP & FAST!! $49 ea way. No bs layovers 💃🏻Also there's no snacks. Paid for carry-on luggage $40 online each way. Next time the Free underseat storage will work for me. Thanks Avelo looking forward to flying with you in the future. Everyone stay safe, positive, healthy and happy ✌🏼
Another inaugural flight for avgeeks--you,Zach and Quentin are of course, present! No doubt as to where you had breakfast--guessing you Ubered to HVN, was alarmed when your driver turned into a residential area.."What the hell.....?" So it looks as though HVN borders on a high-end suburban area--the homeowners will just LOVE the roar of 737's as they take off frequently! A future trip report should include a landing at HVN to demonstrate the short runway distance. Does HVN have TSA? Wondering how the TSA handles all those folks on normally restricted areas such as the ramp. Noticed the -700 behind the speakers as silent, no APU on! :) I can relate to your legroom conundrum--flying on a SWA 737-700 IAH-DEN vs an -800 DEN-TUS, the difference is noticeable. No doubt the one vendor at HVN was raking in the cash that day, having a monopoly on passengers' appetites! Surprised your hotel was so far from the airport--absolutely gorgeous late fall weather and the scenery on takeoff--WOW! :)
The airport in question had to be Daytona with the speedway next to it. I flew Avelo for the first time on November 3rd (flew Breeze for the first time on October 28th) from Sonoma County to Burbank and I was not very impressed with that particular flight. The flight was an hour late but that was not Avelo's fault since it was due to thunderstorms over Las Vegas where the flight came from. Of the three ground staff, only one was friendly. The lead FA kept making jokes that were not going over well and should have quit while he was behind. Once we were airborne the flight attendants all went to the back galley (I was in the second row from the back) and gossiped about coworkers and told passengers that the only thing available was water and if you want any ring the call button. The landing which was blamed on Burbank's short runway was the roughest I have encountered I think ever and by far worse than any other of the dozens of landings I have had at Burbank. On the positive side, the seats were comfortable and it was pretty cheap.
If you knowingly fly an ultra low cost airline please don't complain about anything... you get what you pay for which is very little; that's the point.
Airlines that lack in flight entertainment is a boring airline. If this new airline wants to strive to success, they would need to step their game up with in flight entertainment seatback screens most importantly a new fleet. That goes for breeze, allegiant and southwest. What I look for when it comes to traveling, is the most enjoyable flights and customer service. We’re in new era in travel old school trends don’t work anymore

Clapping in airplanes is also acceptable after a hard, complicated, and stormy landing

Isn't the foam used at airports a bit thicker, at least I think so..
Foam isn’t safe for engine ingestion just prior to take off.
I didn’t know about this 😮
Excellent video in quality and length....
It looks like you flew over Daytona Beach Airport with the track next door. Cool content.
UPDATE; My first flight with Avelo will be the end of next month 🛫🤞🏼. Wishing everyone health and happiness ✌🏼

I seen a plane of theirs for the first time today landing in CT lucky I found this vid I was curious
My heart stopped at the foam. The traditions have stopped at some airport because of some incidents like almost happens here.
How did you get to CT? Did you fly through Bradley International? Great Trip Report!
Was that the Newark aiport as the mystery airport?

Agree flight ET is very important today to catch costumers eyes
Southwest does have a streaming option if you didn’t know and they offer Wi-Fi for a reasonable price. Their movie selection is pretty decent too.
Bradley
Look at all the "obedience rags."
