Thanks so much for watching! I also appreciate the support of my site www.MartyMusic.com
I Think you should demo all the new models with v bracing .
The light tone of the guitar and the darker shirt really reminded me of old GuitarJamz Marty. Really fun to see how long you have come and see how much progress you have made in front of the camera helping me make progress with my guitar. Keep up the great work!
You're an excellent teacher! Love your teaching technique and playing!
Marty, I'm 73 & just bought my 1rst electric guitar. I haven't played any type of guitar in over 20 years. Thanks to your vids., & your great approach to teaching, I'm leaning so much, so fast. Thank you Marty & be well. Leo J., Ontario, Canada.
sentra0209 Sir, I’m 21 and I was always told that instrument should be learnt at early ages and it’s hard for adults, this thought always bothered me. I bought my first guitar at 18 and dropped it after 3 weeks of playing (struggling actually). Now, I have picked it up again, I have learnt much more and faster, though that thought still comes up sometimes but your comment made me more confident that instruments can be learnt and played at any age as long as you enjoy it. After all, if i can insist on playing, by the age of 73 I would have been playing for more than 50 years! Must not be a newbie by then :)
All you need is passion and patience
Beautiful guitar! I'm looking into a new guitar so this video is right on time ☺️ thanks Marty!
I think it's great that Bob Taylor isn't cutting down a whole forest to get one perfect ebony fingerboard..... the natural look of the fretboard on both guitars is both beautiful and sustainable.
Just bought the 814ce V Deluxe. I own a 2005 814 LTD. Cocobolo(with a newly installed ES2) and a 2015 814ce. The new 814ce V Deluxe is a whole new world of sustain and clarity. Next level stuff folks!
I bought the 814 DLX a year ago.....no bass-low. Killer sustain and bell like sound. I also own a 2009 814ce. My Martin D35 just got me spoiled on the chest vibrating lows. Thank you Marty.
Love your work man, keep the videos coming you're the one who inspired me to start my channel!
I subed
I look forward to hearing you play your new 814ce, man! I really want to get a Taylor, myself!
Love your new 814ce Deluxe sounds great ✌️
Amazing guitar. Taylor makes quality guitar for any budget! I have a 150 ce 12 string and it feels so good, easy to play, sounds great, and is of great quality. I can't even imagine what playing this guitar would be like...
I need one of these for sure
I’ve just bought one of these today. I absolutely love it.
Great guitar Marty, got mine ordered.
Boy you really love those major chords, its like me advertising a new formula1 bolid.
I would love to hear it these days
not sure if someone mentioned it - but that’s a 814ce deluxe. the 814ce (V or X brace) doesn’t come with the armrest, gotohs tuners. the X braced 814ce DLX came with adirondack braces. interestingly enough, the V class 814ce DLX uses sitka instead of adirondack. idk why.
Hey Marty, its hard to find the right beginners version of 'Give a Little Bit' from Supertramp.
Your versions are always the best for me to learn, so I would love to see a guide for 'Give a Little Bit' from you.
A lot appreciation. Kind greetings from Germany. :)
Marty I've just started playing about 3 weeks ago if that got downloaded a bunch of your videos you're the the best one out there I found and Imma Stay with you I appreciate everything you're doing and I will be getting some DVD soon from you thank you very much for the lessons and keep on plukging my friend.
Mark Robinson awesome! Look up CAGED method for chord forms ... will help tons
I like that guitar...I was thinking of getting that but with the sunburst on top 😜
I have the standard brace 814CE. I do wish it had the armrest but I think there was a Deluxe version that did have it. otherwise i'm not convinced of my need for an upgrade yet at that price point
Omg i wanted to buy this after they announced v class! And the price is not more expensive than the "normal"....and in the intro I heard a much more cleaner sound!
Always have great intros. Thank you for tips tricks and lessons. 🙂
Great video as always my man! That guitar looks and sounds stunning my man!
Sweet little Jerry Garcia playing there. You should do an instruction video for Althea, it's a great song.
He did, in case you didn't see it: ruclips.net/video/8_7HQJAI3S0/видео.html
The newer one has better sustain. I'll help you out and take the older one off your hands.
Listening with Bose headphones, it seems like the V braced has a clearer range, but the X still sounds great.
Marty, I’m stuck between buying a 814 ce DLX V-class or a 614 ce Builders - natural. I mostly play unplugged so I’m wondering which plays best acoustically. Both are guitars that I will need to grow into as a musician. What’s you’re opinion?
There seems to be a lot of hype around this V bracing stuff, I really have to try one of those... but do you know if they apply the V bracing on dreadnoughts too 🤔?
Taylor has some fine guitars and after a struggle I bought the Martin D28 and not the HD. They do something like that but shave the braces. I had a nasty bridge hump on my Japanese Yamaha red tag 12 string and the what looked bridge hump on my Taylor 214 that is getting up there in age. Re setting a neck is the worst job ever. My Martin has the full X bracing and I only need 25 more years and some one else can worry. Good luck and beautiful guitar.
Love Taylor guitars , have a 414 , wish I could afford this.
Hey ! Can you do a gear Thursday video on your white American professional strat with EMG Noisless pickups 2? You Rock!!!
Nice! That was a sweet little bit of Althea you were playing at the end, too. Lesson?
Is it just me or does the V bracing model almost sound like a 12-string? Anyone else? Why?
I've seen this demo'd with it just by itself...I'm curious which would be preferred when recorded with other instruments...you know, how does it sit in a mix with other things going on like keyboards, bass, etc versus the older X braced model...just by logic and thinking theory, you know, because of better intonation, the V braced guitar would probably win on a side by side A versus B blind test...but could be totally wrong...
Both sweet guitars.
Marty can you convince Taylor to give me one as well? 🤙🏼
Marty! What strings do you use? They sound nice
Does anyone else hear the whistle type sound on the D string in the opening passage? My guitar does this and I am trying to figure out what it is.
I play a 1994 Taylor 512. Would never get rid of it. Maybe add a v braced model. Without cutaway.
Hey Marty how do you feel about the bottom string output on the V class today, I’ve had my K14 Builders Edition for a few months and I liked it at first but now I find its missing a lot of low end output. I’ve gone to very heavy strings and tuned it down a step to get more out of it, compared to my other guitars it sounds thin like a harp. Just wondering what other owners actually think honestly. Partly I guess I expect not to notice things like that in a five thousand dollar guitar, maybe I’m just overthinking it, but I’ve seen others mention it and I’m suspicious that the design is actually faulty for the frequency range of a guitar... I’ve also noticed that most of the demos that I used to decide on my purchase are playing a lot at the upper registers, I thought this was to show off the higher part of the neck, but it now seems like it’s thought out to hide its weakness in the bottom end...
This is kinda irrelevant, but i really want to learn a few songs by Depapepe. Can you please look into that? I can't find any lessons on it
which guitar do you prefer between the Taylor 814ce and the Martin 00028 Clapton ?
Can you do a comparison with 614ce V-bracing ?
Hey whats the SONG AT THE END?
anyone?
the v bracing definitely makes a diiference
Just looked up the price on that beauty....wow....sticker shock. It does sound beautiful.
What’s the difference between 814ca V- bracing and the 814 DLX?
For me the sound of the 814 v bracing is better and it’s $500 cheaper.
I think that the V-class sounds crispier and brighter than the x bracing. I do love Taylor acoustic guitars though. I have an older DN3 and will never part with it ;-)
Just found one song i listened to alot as a kid. Its called ”Crashed” by Daughtry, I would *LOVE* if you did a lesson on it
It's like trying to decide which Rembrandt is the best. Obviously the older 814 hac a deeper richer quality whereas the New 814 is a bit bright. It's like the younger brother looking up to the older brother and thinking "I'm going to be just like you when I grow up. Whichever one you don't want you can overnight to me!
Sweet guitar!! Looks so cool :)
I got a question tho. So I'm playing for a year and a half and my only guitar is a cheap Stagg strat copy. So I'm planning on upgrading soon and really don't know what to get. I'm thinking maybe I should get an acoustic. Can you guys please recommend me some good acoustics? Nothing too flashy and expensive, ~600$ price range. I mainly play rock and blues. Also, should I get electro-acoustic or acoustic? And cutaway or full body?
A cutaway is always nice, but never turn down a guitar that you really like if it doesn't have it.
I bought a Chinese made Breedlove concert that plays better in my hands than some 700-1200 dollar guitars. But please, play an acoustic before you buy. I might buy an electric online, but not an acoustic.
These are in your price range and won't disappoint: ruclips.net/video/6rJkLnRpTk4/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/0hduKm-lH14/видео.html
Yamahas can be really good and most often under your price range. I have a taylor big baby I got for 400 and it's crispy
I bought a zager full body and i love it! Its a great guitar thats in your price range. I only wish i had bought one with a cut away. But definately check them out at zager.com.
Marty - why isn't the Taylor Guitars 814ce V-class Bracing Guitar among your favorites on Sweetwater? I currently only play electric guitars and am shopping for my one and only acoustic guitar so I am looking for advise. I really like the grand auditorium series.
Can you do a demo on your White Strat?
brilliant and bright. would be great to hear its voice on Punky's Dilemma by Simon and Garfunkle. (hint, hint)
For next gear Thursday can u show how to install a whammy
So good they’re giving them away 😂
OK, on the X braced guitar, not in all chord inversions, but the second chord inversion sounds like something is just a little flat in there...it's the chord where the 5th is the highest note...sounds like the 3rd is flat on both guitars when playing that chord, but, at least for me, is more prevalent on the X braced guitar, to the extent where I'm like "Whoa, that's a little rough, there"...With these guitars, I think it will come down to overall tone quality versus intonation accuracy...which is more important to you as a player?...if they are giving you that guitar, I would keep both and use the V braced guitar where the piece you are playing has a lot of closed voicing chords in it...does the X braced guitar have a bigger bottom end? Most guitarists that spend the big bucks on an acoustic is because it just sounds big...you know, like an HD28...anyway, thanks for taking the time to demo these great guitars for us!
Hey Marty... That is a 814ceDLX... not a 814ce. Beveled arm rest gives it away. Just thought you'd want to know.
I just bought an 814ce non delux that came with the armrest! Heck of a deal!
@@WorldsOkayistGuitarPlayer from their website, it looks like all the 814ce have the armrest included.
@@SteveJones-qi5hn they do now, they didn’t when he recorded this video. They didn’t start making them available on the now standard 814ce until this October. The other give away is that it comes with Gotoh 510 tuners. Only the DLX did. In October Taylor condensed the two models into one, started including the radius armrest and removed the Gotoh tuners
Dude what was that 0:26 !!! 😂
Great reviews tho !!👍
Light my fire solo please thank you
X bracing is warmer, maybe due to age.
OK, I'm listening to this through my computer speakers; time to get my good headphones out...
"My life is going on" la case de papel theme song please?
Cuanto cuestan?
Teach us ALTHEA!!!
Can you do run and or sky is a neighborhood by foo fighters
Hey Marty on your next video can you teach teach us how to play Lee Brice I Don't Dance
Hi im from bh Bahrain you are best guitar player 👍💯🎸👉👤
X bracing will always be the best. V class sounds like it doesn’t have any depth. X class is much fuller
Hay marty I've been using your chanel for learning the guitar and I request you to do linkin park given up
Can you do more AC/DC?
Give us that Althea lesson!
Please do moosh by smile
Marty how bout some Guitarlele lessons ? what do ya say ???
That sounds amazing, I think I must have gotten a faulty Taylor as it sounds awful. ☹️
My opinion no comparison, the older Taylor is much richer, better mid and low end
To my ear the older 814 sounds better but... it’s like wine very personal thing
Could just be a guitar age thing but like your original one a little better, a bit warmer tone.
The V bracing is definitely superior. I went into a GC and tried the 614 with the V bracing and was blown away. I have to say that I enjoyed it more than my Martin OOO with rosewood back and sides.
algomez04 wow.. liked it more than a Martin? I have a 414 Limited from 2007 and I love it ... I think it’s funny that Martin seems to be chasing Taylor tone w some of their series and Taylor is chasing Martin depth and mids w their changes..
v class 100%
can you make guitar lesson for its my life?
I didn’t get the difference between guitar jams and Marty music
MartyMusic is all I have done for over 2 years now.
all of my days by alexi murdoch plz
Does sound beautiful, but there is something intimate about a man's acoustic guitar. I've had my Takamine since 1985; an old friend that has seen me through MANY stages of life. I would feel like a trader if I got another acoustic. Sappy, huh?
land of A7 revisit
Fret buzz
From my understanding a 414 Limited Edition, is an 814 without the cosmetics. Anyone know if that’s true?
SHadow Banned the construction is also a bit different, protein/hide glue is considered an upgrade premium construction used for the 814ce, the wood purfling the 800 series also is considered a minor upgrade to create more sound transfer from the back to the top than say an ivoroid/plastic purfling On the 400 series. Just very minor upgrades though.
I don’t know ... Strumming seems a bit too bright and chimey ... but good intonation and sustain when hitting individual notes ..
Do mrs Robinson
Mac demarco still beating... it will change your life
The beetles I see you marty.
Guitar is full of fret buzz! Get it setup
fleyzer
Love this guitar. Shame I’m too poor to buy one 😢
David Williamson... I know the feeling..lol.
james merricks maybe one day Taylor will just give me a guitar too 😁🤞
My guitar just 400-1000$$ in all solid wood, im luthier
Is that revolutionary V bracing hype or what? The old X bracing sounds better...
If u make a video on how to play the fortnite music, youd get a ton of views
Can you do a lesson on Dani California By RHCP
The newer one sounds better Marty lol
