At the ending skit, They're promoting a brand that endorses them. The skit: The video was cut off because the cellphone ran out of 'load' (internet) so they went to the little sari-sari (variety) store - it's a mini convenience store that's smaller than 7/11 usually just the same size as a room. Check out their video called "Dito" (tr. - here) in which they're promoting the brand and featuring current prominent Filipinos excelling in many kinds of careers.
Hey @DarkR0ze Thank you for adding this info on the end! I was actually wondering what happened but wasn't sure if my guess was right haha. The "Dito" video sounds really cool. I'll be sure to look it up. Thanks again! -- UPDATE: I just watched it. It was dope! It was cool seeing how they filmed it/everyone who was featured.
I always enjoy your reactions to Alamat.. Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I love your insight about their choreography being communal or meant to be danced together, making it more meaningful.. The whole theme for their dance & the musical elements in Dayang is to highlight one of the Philippines ethnic tribe, the Tausugs.. So the dance moves are inspired by native dances and martial arts; this is according to their creative director, Jason Paul Laxamana.. And, from what I know, some of the instruments used in the production are also native to the Philippines.. I wish to have heard your insights on their vocals more, since they did a lot in this song.. But that's alright, I appreciate you mentioning all the other good stuff they did in this MV that I didn't catch on previously on my own.. Much love to your channel.. Peace ✌🏼
Hi @sporadicfaneursym Thank you for the support and adding more background to the song!! I love how they continue to create using inspiration from cultural elements and do so in a way that feels authentic to them as a group. Also really cool how martial arts is an inspiration as well. For the next review I'll lean more into their vocals! Thank you for mentioning that and the well wishes for the channel!
The last part actually is a snipet of the Dayang RnB version :) i hope you could listen to their released acoustic & rnb version too Numbers in their jersey represent each member's respective "purok" (literal meaning: a small unit/cluster w/n a barangay/local government unit; w/n the fandom: designated fanbase/group for each member) 1 - Taneo 2 - Mo 3 - Jao 5 - Tomas 6 - R-Ji 9 - Alas Missing numbers are for the former members Choreography incorporates traditional courting dances & martial arts
Hey @mvmy6238 Thank you for sharing all of this! I didn't know about the meaning of their jerseys and how they have designated fanbases for each member. I do remember the group was bigger, originally, so that makes more sense now. Again, thank you for sharing this :)
Thank you for the RV jox! The beat that is played in the last part of the MV is the RNB version of the DAYANG Song, it also had acoustic version too, you must check that out, both version is a vibe and bop!..
