As a man who grew up near Chicago, whose first job was making pizza, who has spent enough time in New York to say he lived there, and who currently lives in California... This video is "Irish people try pizzas that are available in Ireland, and have names inspired by places in America." I don't blame them for it, but to say those pizzas were "NY style," "Chicago style," or "California style" pizzas is so plainly incorrect that it just seems like a typographical error.
From the daughter of a Manhattan boy with 4 older brothers (youngest of 5 and he is almost 62) who took me and my two brothers and mom (when she could break from work) to NY almost 12-13 times a year when his mother was still living back until when I was about 8 or 9 (she died shortly after I turned 8 in 1998). Then the trips lessened to about 5-6 times a year as all of his brothers are in different states (most where each type of these pizzas are from)! I can HONESTLY tell you that NONE OF THOSE were authentic ESPECIALLY the NY PIZZA! (By the way, this is coming from a girl born and raised in Maryland and that grew up around DC most of her life where we have no "authentic" local pizza! LOL! UGH! *FACE PALMS!!!*
I get so tired of that "only tourists eat deep dish" bullshit. I love deep dish. I don't eat it often, generally I tend to want it in the cold months, but it's great. Although, I am glad they didn't do a deep dish for the vid. Chicago pizza is so much more than deep dish and it seems like every video where people try Chicago pizza, it's deep dish.
No. Because they are in Ireland, not Philadelphia. Anything they eat is made for them, in Ireland. Maybe, with a lot of luck, an American person will be making the food if they were to do a cheesesteak video, but I doubt it.

It's one of those artsy fartsy Artisan pizza's where they'll throw whatever they can think of on a pizza and think they're being clever and cutting edge.
I think I'll be adding meetin Irish Jesus to my Bucket list.
It's been on mine since the first time is saw him.
I'm from California and what the fuck was that? 😂
Catherine Adam Where in CA? 'Cuz in Fresno, it's pretty close to some of our stuff. Usually get chicken, garlic cream sauce, onion, either fresh or sun-dried tomato, cilantro, mushroom, olive, and zucchini. it's pretty bomb, actually.
Catherine Adam bruh same like thats not detriot style 🍕 pizza 😂😂
nicklenickle9steele bro I know u commented on this 3 weeks ago, I just wanted to say hello to a fellow person from Fresno, because I was surprised to see another person from Fresno, and let alone somebody who admits to being from fresno
Fuck Fresno, weird ass white people lmao. Y'all throw weird shit on Pizzas smh. Glad Fresno aint part of the LA County lmfaoo
that's not New York pizza. That is way too small to be New York pizza. But maybe it tastes like it, idk...
Noelle Meier agree get two o of those slices and put them together. ...that is a new york slice of 🍕
Way too thick, too. NY crust needs to be like paper thin and floppy! Yet somehow still crispy...
Maybe this video should have been titled, 'Irish People Try to Make Pizza.'......
Maybe it's Maybaline!?
maybe shes born with it?
I like the dude in the blue hat. He just down with whatever.
Prime example of how, no matter where you come from, we're all the same when it comes down to it.
2:09 pizza in Italian means flat pie, so you could consider it a type of pie
never seen new york and chicago pizza the same thickness
It's impossible to do this unless you are actually going to the place the pizzas are from and trying them there. Just from looking at them, none of these are close to representing the style they are claiming.
"Over complicated with things"...yep that's California for ya. Haha
I'm hooked on these.
This is the happiest I've ever seen these guys. They deserve it after Surstromming and cat food.
Donal, my dear...how the hell is a mushroom an insect???
The pizza from Chicago should have been a deep dish pizza from Giordanos ☹ a Chicago style deep dish pizza ❤
Exactly.
Giordano's is a stuffed pizza not a deep dish. Deep dish and stuffed are completely two different pizzas.
“Chicken in a car, car won’t go, that’s how you spell chicargo” lmao
"cheese just goes phoow and sauce just goes Hey!"
"Mushrooms are technically an insect." Gotta be one of the stupidest things I've heard this year.
i believe he was dangling a hook into the stream of comments with a nice juicy fallacy stuck on it
Obvious joke is obvious. LoL
These videos seriously make the world love Ireland even more. Thanks guys and gals. Huge hugs to all of you...
He's right about getting comments. That Chicago pizza is like a $3.00 frozen thing. A real Chicago pizza is like 5 cm thick.
I am from Detroit and that's some shit Detroit style pizza. Buddies is world renowned for their amazing pizza.
Hell yeah buddies is dope af so is vince's on 8 mile but they closed now but sorento is the lit too
What IS Detroit pizza?
@@marybethwalters145 deep dish square pizza pepperoni's cut thick to where they round up like a tiny little bowl filled with grease from the fat that's the most standard one but Detroit Michigan has many modified versions of it
@@hannibalwolf1 You know you can stop the pepperoni from curling, right?
Just take away its tiny brooms.
if your from detroit then you KNOW CLoverleaf is the BEST!!!
If these people were drunk during all of these vids they would be 100 times funnier
They look like they smoked a blunt before they started
Who wouldn't for a pizza tasting episode?
Irish Jesus you earned a subscriber from me you can’t help but like this guy.
Thats not NY pizza. da fuq. You are right to like it but the real thing thooo
the crust looks a bit thick too lol looks like if Digiorno had a "NY Style" pizza
looked like NY pizza to me, and they are Irish, they arent used to spice in foods
Gregory Everson like HELL that was NY style pizza. That looked like some frozen abomination to me
From the daughter of a Manhattan boy with 4 older brothers (youngest of 5 and he is almost 62) who took me and my two brothers and mom (when she could break from work) to NY almost 12-13 times a year when his mother was still living back until when I was about 8 or 9 (she died shortly after I turned 8 in 1998).
I'm from Detroit but I live in Chicago I was kind of hurt cause I love both pizzas 😂
My heart wept when they showed that Detroit Pizza :'(
"how did this and Donald Trump come from the same place?" It hurts..... It hurts..
Trump is the best this country has ever had as president in decades. People don’t like Trump don’t come to our country.
"We Are Eating..." "Yes We Are!" - Is a whole mood. Dont care what we eat, just feed me.
0:23 OMG SHE ACTUALLY PRONOUNCED IT CORRECTLY!!! Yaaaay and Cheerz to u lass!!!
CAWFFEE! CAWFFEE!
Irish people dont say lass
Love the accents ladies!
ummmm why isn't there deep dish for Chicago?
They need to import Uno's pizza!
danceraog111 Right?! How did they manage (some approximation of) Detroit pizza and completely whiff on Chicago?
hutchcraftcp no no no. If you are going to import Chicago pizza it has to be Lou Mal's. It's the best
Because only tourists eat deep dish
I get so tired of that "only tourists eat deep dish" bullshit. I love deep dish. I don't eat it often, generally I tend to want it in the cold months, but it's great. Although, I am glad they didn't do a deep dish for the vid. Chicago pizza is so much more than deep dish and it seems like every video where people try Chicago pizza, it's deep dish.
When you're coming from the"pub" you'll eat anything! Hell yeah ! Love the Irish 😍 from Florida USA!
is there a video on "irish people try philly cheesesteaks?"the real ones, pat's , geno's, tony luke"s...
Ms.T's Home Cooking they need to just fly them out to the USA, otherwise it'll end up like this video. lies.
Geno's fucking sucks, Pat's is where it's at.
JK. I love them all.
Dominic Frabotta , lol, they all are good but my favorite is Ishkabibbles on South St!! Yummy :-)
No. Because they are in Ireland, not Philadelphia. Anything they eat is made for them, in Ireland. Maybe, with a lot of luck, an American person will be making the food if they were to do a cheesesteak video, but I doubt it.
meikusje I know where they are filmed but if they can try New York and Chicago Pizza they certainly can try a Philadelphia cheesesteak
"Mushrooms are technically and insect"
Wow. I always thought it was a fungi. I didn't know they had six legs. (I'm being sarcastic obviously they're fungi)
yup, and turnips are derived from washing machines.
2:06 the long hair dude is having a fit
Colin Stynes 🤣
your a legend man, have a sub!
I can't stop watching him at 2:08 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
