    When I was a kid, I went to a NHRA event and they had this super badass 300zx. I specifically remember the the plastic upper grill was taken out and was just a big machined metal intake feeding some presumably semi diesel turbos as this was probably 1997. Super cool car Will remember it forever

      @@omega1575 I think they were. I remember they were MASSIVE. And that tech really wasn’t around like that till mid 2000s I mean yeah they existed HKS did things etc. but a lot of folks took turbos they could find and made them work

      @@Loudlevin the engine compartment, the way the fitment under the hood and everything turned out was pretty nice imo. i've daily driven worse. and if you've been watching, this was literally a parts car a minute ago lol. i think it is turning out really good given the curcumstances.

    Even with the KA in there it doesn't look like you gained as much space compared to the VG. Nissan definitely had a sense of humor make that engine bay so small back then, lol

      The bay is designed for a V6 and a V6 is shorter than an I4, so its not too surprising it was a pain to make fit, or that there is loads of spare space on either side!

    So Mike I have never been a mechanic in my life but I'm working my 99 vw beetle watching these videos and actually learning. I've never been very successful in life but I think after watching you and taking into account my own handyness, I want to become a mechanic. And maybe some RUclips.

    Amazing work! I love this content! You should be very proud of yourself!
    I was in middle school when these cars came out. Makes me sad to see them in rough condition, but super happy to see it saved and back to bringing smiles to people's faces!

    I always relocate engine bay relay boxes and fuse boxes ,to the interior glovebox area. They take up needed space in the bay

    Yo no way is that a Pontiac fiero I spot back there that's cool stuff there to aside from that dude I love the 300zx I am actually looking for one to add to my car collection so far I have my Accord I been telling you about an my Acura RSX now looking for a zx need it final car I'd be happy with a Silva right hand drive or a 240 your z is looking good can't wait to see what you have for it in the future 😊 definitely the aftermarket exhaust let that girl breathe

    The best way to make a 300 reliable? Swap the engine 😂. Love the early uploads. Gives me a reason to have more coffee and chill

    I'm pretty sure it's de-ionized water that you want not just distilled. When you are pouring from a bottle of oil flip it around 180 from how you did the power steering for a much more controlled pour.

    you could always get a measurement for the belt without power steering. and run straight off water pump bypassing power steering with a shorter belt for the moment

    Dude you should keep an eye out for a first gen Altima SE 5speed. I had one and it was one of my favorite dailies I’ve had. I threw a bunch of 240 mods at it and turbo and she was running with all the tuner cars back in the day

    I like how you make it work with 1 hand. However the cars you working on are legendary cars and i just wish you spent more time on them, baby every single part " if you know what i mean" ps: the ka24de engine need full rebuild maybe new sleeves and cylinder rebuild

    Go with aftermarket. If not then at least keep the x pipe.
    Edit: actually in your case you'll need a Y pipe

    The word you're looking for on those power steering bolts is a "shoulder". I know you know what a chamfer is.
