today we have an episode where Mike teaches us all how to spill and drop everything you have while working on engine bay. He is very skilled at it tbh.
When I was a kid, I went to a NHRA event and they had this super badass 300zx. I specifically remember the the plastic upper grill was taken out and was just a big machined metal intake feeding some presumably semi diesel turbos as this was probably 1997. Super cool car Will remember it forever
@@omega1575 I think they were. I remember they were MASSIVE. And that tech really wasn’t around like that till mid 2000s I mean yeah they existed HKS did things etc. but a lot of folks took turbos they could find and made them work
Man I look forward to seeing this thing transform into something really nice. Now that you're over 100K subs, hopefully you start picking up some more sponsors that will help the builds get even better. You've done a great job getting it to this point with a hodgepodge of junkyard parts.
@@Loudlevin the engine compartment, the way the fitment under the hood and everything turned out was pretty nice imo. i've daily driven worse. and if you've been watching, this was literally a parts car a minute ago lol. i think it is turning out really good given the curcumstances.
Even with the KA in there it doesn't look like you gained as much space compared to the VG. Nissan definitely had a sense of humor make that engine bay so small back then, lol
The bay is designed for a V6 and a V6 is shorter than an I4, so its not too surprising it was a pain to make fit, or that there is loads of spare space on either side!
So Mike I have never been a mechanic in my life but I'm working my 99 vw beetle watching these videos and actually learning. I've never been very successful in life but I think after watching you and taking into account my own handyness, I want to become a mechanic. And maybe some RUclips.
I’ve been going through a really tough time lately, and your videos have helped me a lot. You’re just such a positive force in this world, I can’t help but smile while watching. Keep up all the hard work and keep being an amazing person. Thank you, Mike.
Amazing work! I love this content! You should be very proud of yourself! I was in middle school when these cars came out. Makes me sad to see them in rough condition, but super happy to see it saved and back to bringing smiles to people's faces! Nate needs to talk more! 17:41 Also, you keep calling the shift knob the "shifter". Lol 18:05 Not many people will ever know this feeling, or understand it.
Gotta say you doing a great job on it cause I would never think bout doing this swap but it makes you happy that's all what counts take care God bless you for now...
Yo no way is that a Pontiac fiero I spot back there that's cool stuff there to aside from that dude I love the 300zx I am actually looking for one to add to my car collection so far I have my Accord I been telling you about an my Acura RSX now looking for a zx need it final car I'd be happy with a Silva right hand drive or a 240 your z is looking good can't wait to see what you have for it in the future 😊 definitely the aftermarket exhaust let that girl breathe
I’ve recently started watching your videos and I’m slowly starting to learn more and more about cars and do things myself to my own! Keep up the good work and the amazing content
nice work on the motor swap some parts went together in place wayyy tooo easy. nice work on the fab, once fully dialed in youre gonna love driving her. z32's are def sports luxuary cars, they drive sooooo fn nicely like on rails!!
I'm pretty sure it's de-ionized water that you want not just distilled. When you are pouring from a bottle of oil flip it around 180 from how you did the power steering for a much more controlled pour.
you could always get a measurement for the belt without power steering. and run straight off water pump bypassing power steering with a shorter belt for the moment
Dude you work soooo dam fast wow!! And she is smooth sounds great, go aftermarket it looks like it will tuck up tighter, just a little smaller than factory For more low!!!!
Dude you should keep an eye out for a first gen Altima SE 5speed. I had one and it was one of my favorite dailies I’ve had. I threw a bunch of 240 mods at it and turbo and she was running with all the tuner cars back in the day
I am sending greetings from the Czech Republic🫡.. I have been following you for some time now and I really enjoy your work.. I look forward to the next part and I wish you the best of luck in assembling this awesome car. 💯
I like how you make it work with 1 hand. However the cars you working on are legendary cars and i just wish you spent more time on them, baby every single part " if you know what i mean" ps: the ka24de engine need full rebuild maybe new sleeves and cylinder rebuild

😅
And thank god there was no bolts or nuts bottle bc it would be on the floor too tho
I've always wanted to learn how to do that properly! Great teacher 😅
😂😂😂
In all your part runs im surprised you didn’t pick up a random radiator cap for this
So true, can't believe I overlooked such a tiny, yet essential peice to the puzzle 😅
@@PrizzaMikeI can’t blame you for that, god knows I’ve forgotten small yet essential parts of things before
@@PrizzaMike you just need to start grabbing one whenever you go get parts
Aftermarket exhaust! I know you’re into the stock smoothness now, but knowing you, this thing will be looking dope by the end of the year

Were they turbos off a semi or am I misreading this?

@@mattbenson6698 I bet that thing flew down the drag strip
This sounds like a sick fucking build, I wonder if someone is ever gonna do this

this turned out so clean. i can't believe how effectively you just fabricate anything & everything you may need. it looks like factory.
What about this vehicle is "clean", its not even roadworthy.

literally a frankenstein build junkyard engine and junkyard transmission and it runs so smooth
Bruh 🤣
What's up with you dropping everything in this upload?
8:20 was the funniest for some reason to me
Dude it kept happening outta no where 😅
I was like, ya we'll just leave that in there lolol
I’m from the UK and I’m loving the videos since I’m dyslexic u also explain everything in quite a simple yet explanatory way for me to understand 😂
Been excited to see the 300zx worked on from the ground up and all the time you've put in is amazing!

That 6 am drop 😢
Damn is it that early in the states?
Early bird gets the worm😎
Perfect time b4 I go to work
It’s 4:49 for me
Perfect dinner time in Moscow👍

aftermarket exhaust 🔛🔝 i am so happy to see you build it, another 300zx has been saved
Another from the ground up. You are the man Mike when it comes to building cars.
Finally someone showing some love to the KA’s
Gotta say you doing a great job on it cause I would never think bout doing this swap but it makes you happy that's all what counts take care God bless you for now...
I love how stock the car looks. The KA looks like it was meant to be there.
Recovering from stomach surgery and all this video did was make me want to go work on my car lol. Look forward to seeing the car progress
Fit the aftermarket exhaust!!
Also there's a cable hanging, may want to check that.
Hey Mike. When pouring out of a container flip it so the hole is on top and it wont go bloop bloop 😊 Aftermarket exhaust ofc.
20:04 Its Kitt from knight rider! Love it!!!
Can't go wrong w an aftermarket exhaust 💯
Hey Mike , always enjoying your videos I love how your Frankenstein project is coming along with the 240sx. Keep up the great work stay blessed ❤️👑
Bro we need more car and barbecue skate videos those are mad vibes!!!! So happy for you family!!!
I love what you are doing and its smart ingenuity my friend, you keep proving my point that Japanese car are the best and easiest to work on
I always relocate engine bay relay boxes and fuse boxes ,to the interior glovebox area. They take up needed space in the bay

Loved seeing this project take shape , some good work and mods done man 👍
I’ve recently started watching your videos and I’m slowly starting to learn more and more about cars and do things myself to my own! Keep up the good work and the amazing content
This guy is half assing every thing that he does, no way to mod and maintain your car. This guy gives sports car owners a bad rep.
always a good day when mike uploads :D :D
Oh man, early morning video from Mike. Just what I needed. Need to get my chocobar and redbull first
Enjoying this build as much as the 240SX one ....keep up the excellent work Mike 👏 🙌 👌 👍

Man I love your videos. You are definitely one of the most inspiring person out there!
I'm 11y old an I have a project car and ur one of my biggest inspirations to fix it up and slam it and make it a show car
Yooo, a weekend with your video uploads is the best combo
Finally some one does something different this swap is gonna be crazy
The car is sick asf once you are ready too modify the engine you should build it and turbo it the z would sound so good with a turbo on it
I'm no mechanic but it's cool that you explain everything that you do. Question for all, whats must have tool for beginning in home workshop?
The best way to make a 300 reliable? Swap the engine 😂. Love the early uploads. Gives me a reason to have more coffee and chill

@12:12 f'n brilliance broskie!
That thing is awesome, alot more reliable than the original engine , and easier to work on great work man
you could always get a measurement for the belt without power steering. and run straight off water pump bypassing power steering with a shorter belt for the moment

dang fixed the call 180sx 240 and 300zx your the guys that need to get sponsors
Awesome to see both of your projects in driving condition, also use the aftermarket exhaust on the 300 I'd say..
9:06 Again you caught me off guard with this.... 😅
😅
have parts will run...love the philosophy ..i would run stock...but mock the aftermarket too..just incase you want that tone
Your vids are so cool dude and its only jank if it dont work. Also your friend is a good dude.
Cant wait to see this finished
Same! 🤘
My father had an ‘01 maxima when I was a kid & I think it had the same door chime.
Can't wait to hear what it sounds like
So weird that everything fits so perfect😅
Definitely do the aftermarket exhaust on it
Dude you should keep an eye out for a first gen Altima SE 5speed. I had one and it was one of my favorite dailies I’ve had. I threw a bunch of 240 mods at it and turbo and she was running with all the tuner cars back in the day
After market exhaust really good.

Keep it going homie! Love what you are doing!
13:41 no way that actually works? thats insane man! but its not bad that the air intake is in front of the radiator, right? Just wondering :D
Use the aftermarket exhaust for sure..
I'm a simple man. Prizza posts, I skip breakfast and go watch the video.
I like how you make it work with 1 hand. However the cars you working on are legendary cars and i just wish you spent more time on them, baby every single part " if you know what i mean" ps: the ka24de engine need full rebuild maybe new sleeves and cylinder rebuild
love the video mike keep up the great work :D
R32 chilling in the back
🎉 now time for exhaust work !
As always 🔥 content!
i remember boosting my KA and testing it without a full exhaust and it sounding like a truck. lol, but with boost.
Your vids are like the only on youtube that appeal to my exact taste of video if yk what I mean
Congratulations bro 🎉🎉🎉💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Im actually running a 240sx chasis, with a cx racing rad, clutch fan, stock air intake, but no shroud
With a KA24DE
Aftermarket exhaust, 300zx it's so sick
Gotta make a bull horn style intake with aluminum 240sx intake tube
Awesome project!
Awesome build g
i cant wait to see this thing dropped on some wheels gonna be sooo good
YESSSSS FINALLYYYYY A DAILY DRIVABLE 300ZX!!!!!! ITS COME SO FAR!!!!!!!!
🔥🔥🔥
love the vids bro big fan from NZ
Go with aftermarket. If not then at least keep the x pipe.
Edit: actually in your case you'll need a Y pipe
Equip that aftermarket exhaust for sure let this baby sing
Now thats a complete 240sx transformer🎉🎉💪💪
love your content dude, dam now you have two Cadillacs
Can’t wait for the next one, and the eventual KA-T build 😉
The word you're looking for on those power steering bolts is a "shoulder". I know you know what a chamfer is.
Nice 🎉 Give us some junkyard videos and maybe 240 process😅
