Every day I find out something new that this sim can do. It's pretty dope how involved it is. Having problems with things like discovery though... it doesn't register any time flown or tell me what I'm supposed to do. I just fly around aimlessly, land and exist with it showing I have 0 time doing the activity
I play MSFS 24 on Xbox, and I can't seem to find on the inflight toolbar menu the following tools; the map, the flight assistance, the check start...etc., that were available in Xbox MSFS 20; also, thanks for the great videos tutorials, which at last got me up and flying in 24, so keep up the great work, and have a blessed day. On the weekend, I'll see if the replay tool is available.
great video, i just have a question: what is the keybind or name of the bind to change camera during replay so you can look through the cabin? and how do you change where the camera is so you can stand on the ground and watch it from there? thanks!
Is there a way to lock onto your plane in showcase mode and have it truly lock on the entire time? I'm going into showcase mode and then droning down to the runway area, but when I choose the drone lock toggle it barely follows the plane and then just gives up. Wtf am I doing wrong ??
I have found in VR, the toolbar does not appear every time even when you press the relevant keys. So for the time being, you need to revert to 2D to get the tool bar, and even then it's not guaranteed. If currently rather frustrating.
@stephenbull2026 for the toolbar to appear consistently in VR, the workaround is to assign your key binding to both Primary and Secondary. So the same key should appear as primary and secondary assignment. Then in VR you press your key and move the cursor to the toolbar area and it should appear. Works for me.
So I'm getting the hang of replay mode and it's a lot of fun. But every time I queue up the beginning of the replay (on final) And I watch it and then go back and queue it up again and take plane control, my plane falls out of the sky like a brick, is this a known bug?
Question for you...on 2024, when I click my right mouse button to move the cursor aound for viewing, it will scramble all over the place. I like to use this for internal and external viewing. Is this a bug in 2024? or have a got a bad setting on my setup? Any help would be super!!!!!
@@dronesim i do have fcr as well. It is not bad and no freeze happen if you are not using pmdg made aircrafts. With pmdg you have always 5 sec freeze when you start recording
@ how is handling the engine throttle state? I noticed that SkyDolly had issues with the throttle in Airbus aircraft but not in Boeing ones. I always had to manually use the throttles when replaying and recording with OBS to make it look and sound realistic
@@dronesim I can tell you that I have had no issue at all. Using Thrustmaster Boeing setup and if I fly fenix A320 I simply replace my boeing yoke with Thrustmaster 1600 sidestick. Throttle and Reverse working without problems. If I recording than I use OBS for internal recording and SKY Dolly afterwards for external recording. The internal recording from MSFS is, that you will face problems with addon aircrafts like pmdg. meaning when you like external view from your start, tires maybe will not appear! what with standart aircrafts no issue is
Just read news about PMDG owners. If you own pmdg aircrafts on msfs 2020 than you need to pay small fee (b77w, dc-6)for msfs 2024.for B738 fee will be more expensiv! I purchased pmdg since fsx but now they went to far for me!

MSFS 2024 is getting better, it have some very cool new resources and features. I'm getting used to it and I like what I'm seeing.

You can use the lock unlock mode in drone camera to watch landing from a fixed point. Thanks 🙂

It would be great if I can use sky cam view for my hardware cockpit (touch screens, Knobster, FCU).
That is a great use case yes...but there should be easier way too right? To remove cockpit from the cam

When recording landings ive noticed the flaps and spoilers do not move, also getting various cockpit alarms sounding ?
Yes that kind of bugs are still there...seems like skydolly is still a better option
If you use airbuses (some) flaps and spoilers will be fixed in next updates 👍.

An easy way to save record on disk would be great.
FS2020 had a free third party record tool that recorded and saved flights on the disc.

Sky Dolly is far superior for replays and works fine with '24
Just give me XP11/XP12 replay functionality. This is so over complicated and has a horrendous UX. It could be so much better
If this matures, it should have way more functionality. The dev has confirmed more updates and fixes
