I’m still learning how to properly and more effectively run my Facebook ads but definitely Facebook is the one that has driven the most foot traffic to my retail stores .
I’ve been trying to run ads and now it all makes sense!
This was such a great overview of not just facebook ads, but how ads and convertions work in general. I run an e-commerce store through RUclips where I sell digital music products through tutorials etc. I see ads pop up all the time from people who are selling similar things that I do, and I am certain that there is HUGE potential in facebook ads. I am wondering though, how do I find the right target audience? From what I have gathered so far, I guess that I should set up a few ad campaigns with smaller budgets that have different audiences so I can see what audience responds the best to my ads. Then retarget that audience with another campaign with a bigger budget? Anyway, great video. Going to check out more of your videos for sure! Subscribed as well of course :)

Hello Mike, first, thanks for the very informative video! You mentioned that the Facebook ads should not be leading people to a website. I sell shirts online and the current ad has a link to the "shop" page, wouldn't that be the page I want traffic to go to? Or should it be the exact product page (same shirt in the ad image)? Hey Mike, Just a question, you said don't do split testing, but do multiple ad sets. What's the difference there? Split testing is 2 different ad sets, vs what you're saying of doing about 16 instead of just 2? Thanks in advance!!
Facebook has an option to A/B test ads. It has limitations, that's why a lot of ads managers don't mess with the Facebook A/B test and choose to do it on their own with different ad sets/same creative.

How do funnels work with an online store? For instance: if I sell patches, would I want to send them down a funnel or just send them directly to my patches? It seems odd to send them down a funnel just to get to a patch. I feel like the cost of the funnel per sale would be higher than the revenue per sale. What do you think @Mike Sherrard?

Mike, a question - I've had a video ad running for the past month using the standard lookalike audience for conversions and it averaged a daily reach of 1,200-1900 and 1-2 sales a day. I uploaded my second video ad a few days ago using the same exact settings with the same budget yet it's only going 200-400 reach a day. Can you explain why?

I've been catching up on many of your earlier videos lately, always great content.... quick question, as it relates to top of funnel, cold audience ads, I completely understand the "add value" focus, my question: is it ok to still have a call to action?... or are you suggesting that CTAs should only be presented when targeting middle of funnel audiences?
i want to know if theres a way i can run ads for companies and guarantee results, because what it seems is that theres no way of knowing if the add will perform well. thats my only hesitation to starting, i dont want someone to pay me and then i end up failing them and not delivering them the results they desired.
thats why the splitting stuff confuses me. i dont know how to take money out of certain ads and put it into others. i just dont want someone to depend on me and i let them down.
another question i have is am i always going to design the ad for them? or do they usually have an ad they want me to promote for them?

You would just need to do target audience research to see where they live and what their interests are. There is no one size fits all audience for anything, especially clothing!

Is there any elements of targeting (from interests to keywords to location targeting) that you'd recommend spending more of my time nailing initially whilst I get fully setup? Appreciated! 🙌🏼
Great question! Honestly the algorithm has become so much better that doing a bit less targeting is yielding better results... and just testing a couple ad sets to prove which is most profitable / higher converting and allocating your budget to that one! Keep it simple :)
