You were bashing selection of Pant over Saha after those dropped catches.. You clearly mentioned that, I would always go with 5 proper batsmans, 1 Proper all rounder, 1 proper test wicket keeper and 4 Proper bowlers.. You are 100% right if in Indian conditions but you can't take out Match winners and replace them with someone who can lose the match from winning position.. India were in similar situation twice in 2014 Series against Australia where Virat kohli played heroic innings to chase down 364 on final day , What did saha do then? Or any special match winning innings over a period of 8 years? Ofcourse, he's a terrific wicket keeper but that alone cannot be a qualification in the modern generation where new India Under Virat is looking to win the games, rather than the old defensive mode we played under Dhoni/Saurav.
Having said that, Pant needs to train a lot in keeping skills before the matches in Indian conditions. Else, He may upset Ashwin/Jaddu a lot by dropping or missed stumping.
