Apparently he had just been out a rehab clinic 3 days before the gig. I was with a good friend of mine from Denmark with her boyfriend from Holland, who was a Nick Cave fan as I was too. This friend didn't know much about Nick Cave's music and she looked terrified after 3 songs, when Cave performed one from his previous band "The Birthday Party"... But she did enjoy the gig for sure...Saw him again 20 years after, in 2008, in Marseille. He looked different, more healthier for sure, and it was a different concert !

Still, thanks to that giving in, they can manage to seep the true essence of the human spirit, until they have nothing left and simply fade away. I feel alive Nick, there is no need to give in.
