I fall in love with the MSI z890 Edge TI in white, but price will be a big factor! Glad that MSI decided to add a post code in many of their motherboards.
Thank you for this excellent review of the MSI motherboards. It should be very interesting to learn your experiences with the new processors and the new boards. You present the strengths of these boards very well. Seeing the Intel plush toy brought a smile to me. The videography is truly outstanding. Thank you so much for all your work in this area.
Are we really living in the age where paying €350 for the budget motherboard has become the norm? This is ridiculous. Not too long ago you could get a good motherboard for $100-150
I know, MSI's B450 Tomahawk was ~100€, now B650 Tomahawk is ~200€ which is already a 100% price jump, Z890 Tomahawk 350€... thanks but no thanks, MSI and Intel really want me to upgrade to AM5.
Excellent video! Did you know that you can use exactly the same video but then with ASMR sound? At half speed, whispering and scratching the tech with your nails? I bet you get 10x the views, with less effort :D
Nada, as always, thank you for the great video-review. I think I will wait for Asus Z890 Formula, Z690 and Z790 is masterpiece. Hope to see it in your hands!
Looking forward to your platform reviews and appreciate the motherboard previews. MSI seems to have brought a lot to the entry level of the midrange for Z890 making them very interesting. The Unify-X is probably going to be out of my price range, but it seems like it'll be top tier.
Happy to hear! Review live in less than 2 hours too! And agreed. The Pro/Tomahawk are already great imho. Can't wait to see the Unify-X as well but I doubt it'll be cheap, or worth it for most.
I love the completely Black Tomahawk. The price is actually really great right now in Portugal, comparing to ASUS with LGA1700 + Wi-Fi 7. No idea why they are still overpriced for years. MSI PRO Z890-S WIFI price is 229,90€, MSI Z890 GAMING PLUS WIFI is 259,90€ and MSI MAG TOMAHAWK WIFI 299,90€. But I have my eyes on the new NZXT LGA1851 and AM5 with Wi-Fi 7. I hope you review them as well! I’ll wait a bit to see which one will be cheaper to buy. But I am guessing the NZXT AM5 will be cheaper. As always, great review! Love your channel! Thank you.
I think NZXT boards will launch in 2025. They look great and they're made by ASRock so unless they really mess it up they should be completely fine :) Doubt they'll beat a Tomahawk at $300 though! And thanks for the kind words!
It will be interesting to see how the Core Ultra performs after a few BIOS and Windows updates. They're coming. The motherboards are extremely nice, but the processors need tweaking. The memory controllers need to execute the speeds the DIMMS are rated for at full speed without errors, artifacts or crashes.
Hey Nada, are there any Z890 motherboards with 5.1/7.1 surround sound built-in? I mean the usual 5x 3.5 analog audio jacks at the back of the motherboard.
I think they're banking on people rushing out to get the "latest and the best" so releasing them at the maximum MSRP gets them the most out of the consumer
Another big feature is dual gpu's / one for host and one for gpu passthrough for a vm and supporting iommu's groupings along with 8x cpu / 8x chipset...not sure if the mpg or meg support that, i def. know the pro and tomahawk don't.
the Carbon is much more different than the tomahawk. PCIE 1 and PCIE 2 are both on the CPU and can be x8 x8 x4, whereas the tomahawk us 16x4x4 CPU/CHIP/CHIP. VERY DIFFERENT...
Hi Nada, When I saw your outfit, it looked like you were making a DIY project video, but then you look stunning in whatever you wear. Would you follow up on this Z890 review with the new ASUS Z890 MB lineup? I'm expecting delivery of my ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 HERO any day.
@@TechTesters I have currently 7 usb slots being used and im hoping to have 3 usable m.2 slots. Idk if that would exist or be possible. ( I am using 2 m.2 slots currently)
11 usb ports?! Just why and like how many do people even use?? If there is someone here that uses that much, what do you use them for all at once? I'm just really curious about that.
Content creators (i.e. streamers) may use ALOT of usb connected devices. Camera's, several controllers like the streamdecks, footpedals, audio interfaces etc. The high bandwidth ones like video/audio devices need their dedicated USB-port, won't work well with most hubs.
woah i almost wanted to leave a dislike for a cheesy AI enhanced beauty thumbnail but thats all you! 😍really happy to see that the break visibly did you good, not that you ever aren't but you're crazy glowy RN.
Why manufactures are giving Intel boards better specs than AMD at same price? I mean MSI X870 tomahawk has 14+2+1 80A vrm, MSI Z890 tomahawk has 16+1+1+1 90A. This is stupid, if you check gigabyte or asus is the same thing, manufactures are giving a lot more for intel platforms and charging the same or less x AMD. This makes no sense.
You are also forgetting that it's not necessary to get a new board with AMD and AMD will be supporting their platforms for far more years than Intel who usually makes you buy a new board for every new CPU so you need to keep that in mind
@@TechTestersOC3D goofed and their review numbers went live early. They've since been taken down, but they were... not good to say the least. 20%+ slower than the 14900k. I hear that the issues are due to latency caused by a Windows bug, but yeah. Not good if the reviews show such a regression.
Who is going to buy this motherboards when cpu has turned out to be a complete garbage... can you imagine making all this boards and then intel comes up with garbage cpu, MSI is probably thinking stop production or we will have to give them boards away for free or store over production unders the beds...
MSI are still doing trade in Russia. I'm watching this on an MSI monitor but I wouldn't buy a product from them again if it was twice as good at half the price. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
So is everyone else, just under a different brand. All clothing stores changed names, all food chains changed names, suppliers are mostly the same, just rebranded.

Be good to point out how many layers the PCB has, too. I also thought intel had new mounts for z890 that distribute pressure more evenly on higher end boards.
Thank you, Nada! 😀
Nada's motherboard previews are the best in the game!

Thank you Nada for the line-up of MSI Z890 Motherboard review 🤭🤓
Thank you so much, I really appreciate these motherboard comparison videos
That peel on the Pro Series....satisfying! Haha Another great vid specially for me as I solely use MSI (personal preference), thank you!

We'll see decent boards for
They will go down in price Quick.

Z890 is not a budget chipset. But I agree that the starting prices are too high.
I recently discovered this channel, I love it! Now I'm waiting for the release of the itx motherboards
Still waiting for ITX boards myself :(
Nice! I am debating which one to get... waiting on reviews of the Godlike!!!
I haven't seen or heard anything about the Godlike, but I guess it'll be so expensive it'll be hard to justify :D

Why only 4 SATA ports on alot of these boards? I would've thought the Tomahawk would come with 6 but it only has 4 also.

Tomorrow!

Wonder when Asus will release the 860-f Strix modell
Any word if MSI will make a new lga 1851 project zero mb?
MSI, give us more 2 RAM slots mainboards! Like the Unify-X without PS/2.

Not new ones I imagine.
@TechTesters thanks for replying. I appreciate it
How is MSI with warranty if you need one ?
I think I've only needed it once in 10 years or so. I don't remember that being a problem or difficult.
@@TechTesters good to know as I had enough problems before with Asus and wish to go next time with other company

350 Euro mobo for mid range system ? and i tho 200 was already way too high 😐😐

Can you do a X870E Msi vs Asus ???
I'll definitely do an Asus roundup for X870, but from MSI I've only seen one board so far :-/
4:19 the transparent thing on the left looks ugly. they should've cut it to fit the logo
Quick summary.
1. Dutch women are stunning.
2. Motherboards are insanely overpriced for no good reason.
3. Both could potentially kill you.

The way that Intel names their cpus is just soooo confusing lol.

MSI and their silly dragons all over the place smh
It makes for a cute plush animal but I also prefer to see more boards like the Pro or the Tomahawk ;)

You're not wrong :) But I don't know why that might be the case.
They might know they will sell more Boards for Intel and that their CPUs are less effizient.
They need to charge for the longer support cycle of AM5 in terms of CPUs released on the platform.
