    Thank you for this excellent review of the MSI motherboards. It should be very interesting to learn your experiences with the new processors and the new boards. You present the strengths of these boards very well. Seeing the Intel plush toy brought a smile to me. The videography is truly outstanding. Thank you so much for all your work in this area.

    Looking forward to your platform reviews and appreciate the motherboard previews. MSI seems to have brought a lot to the entry level of the midrange for Z890 making them very interesting. The Unify-X is probably going to be out of my price range, but it seems like it'll be top tier.

      Happy to hear! Review live in less than 2 hours too!
      And agreed. The Pro/Tomahawk are already great imho. Can't wait to see the Unify-X as well but I doubt it'll be cheap, or worth it for most.

  • @imlucaswhitecastle
    @imlucaswhitecastle 5 дней назад

    I love the completely Black Tomahawk. The price is actually really great right now in Portugal, comparing to ASUS with LGA1700 + Wi-Fi 7. No idea why they are still overpriced for years. MSI PRO Z890-S WIFI price is 229,90€, MSI Z890 GAMING PLUS WIFI is 259,90€ and MSI MAG TOMAHAWK WIFI 299,90€.
    But I have my eyes on the new NZXT LGA1851 and AM5 with Wi-Fi 7. I hope you review them as well! I’ll wait a bit to see which one will be cheaper to buy. But I am guessing the NZXT AM5 will be cheaper. As always, great review! Love your channel! Thank you.

    • @TechTesters
      @TechTesters  2 дня назад

      I think NZXT boards will launch in 2025. They look great and they're made by ASRock so unless they really mess it up they should be completely fine :) Doubt they'll beat a Tomahawk at $300 though! And thanks for the kind words!

  • @CHKDSKSYNTAX

    It will be interesting to see how the Core Ultra performs after a few BIOS and Windows updates. They're coming. The motherboards are extremely nice, but the processors need tweaking. The memory controllers need to execute the speeds the DIMMS are rated for at full speed without errors, artifacts or crashes.

    Another big feature is dual gpu's / one for host and one for gpu passthrough for a vm and supporting iommu's groupings along with 8x cpu / 8x chipset...not sure if the mpg or meg support that, i def. know the pro and tomahawk don't.

      Content creators (i.e. streamers) may use ALOT of usb connected devices. Camera's, several controllers like the streamdecks, footpedals, audio interfaces etc. The high bandwidth ones like video/audio devices need their dedicated USB-port, won't work well with most hubs.

    Why manufactures are giving Intel boards better specs than AMD at same price? I mean MSI X870 tomahawk has 14+2+1 80A vrm, MSI Z890 tomahawk has 16+1+1+1 90A. This is stupid, if you check gigabyte or asus is the same thing, manufactures are giving a lot more for intel platforms and charging the same or less x AMD. This makes no sense.
