    It's a great tutorial for me. I like how you use that needle to point out exactly where to insert hook. You also pointed out to keep the yarn on the upper (thicker) part of the needle, to maintain an even tension. That was a real great hint for me. In the past I always had a problem with tension.

    You explain things better than anyone else online with how you show exactly where the hook goes with your needle. It can be maddening trying to see directions and you realize that. Got my 8.0mm Clover Armour hook in today from Amazon & I'm blown away!!!! BEST hook I've ever used & I've been crocheting for 20+ years. Now, I'm flying with this MAM blanket 😍 Thank you so much for all you do!! I almost gave up crocheting due to hook issues. Then I got the clover armour and I was back enjoying my craft. I had gotten a J hook and immediately went back to the store (1½ hr Interstate drive) and got 5 more different sizes, also 3 of H,I,J which i use the most. Of course I also grabbed more yarn.

I have RA, my son went and bought me all clovers "Amours" he could find, never looked back .They are the summum for people with RA or simple Arthritis, good for wrists also?! Now trying your pattern. You are sol good at taking time, no rush. Thank you so much.🙂🙃🤞

    What’s REALLY HELPFUL & nice for beginners is @05:30 The Secret Yarnery used a POINTY NEEDLE 🪡 to show exactly which stitch to enter.
    I watch a ton of Crochet 🧶 videos. While most ladies have very polished fingernails 💅🏼, they use those big fingers-nails to indicate the tiny by comparison, crochet stitches to enter.
    May sound insignificant to some, but boy oh boy…. This REALLY IMPRESSED me!
    Such a Beautiful Blanket & a superb video.
    P.S. nice & pretty natural fingernails! 😉

    You make it sound so doable! I think I might make the strips and whip stitch them together. I just think it would give more stability to a blanket that will be washed frequently and /or handled by kiddos. I can’t wait to get started.

    • @nancytunis7472
      @nancytunis7472 3 года назад

      What would be more stable than Crochet Them Together?? You are truly a glutton for punishment, if you thread a yarn needle with enough yarn to whip stitch these long rows! Why not try the easy way, and you just might like it....

    This is one of the best videos on Miles a minute she explains it very very clearly. Here is where where we differ I taken count the stitches every 20 tie them together from one strip to the other to make sure I keep it lined up and then join my tread and I changed one single crochet crossover single crochet in every other Stitch like a shoelace this way it leaves a little Gap in between and it really looks Lacy

    Hello I watch Derek the knit wit and on his chanel he mentioned you so I came over to see your Chanel and i watched you do this beautiful mile a minute blanket and love the border you added to it. I have a 94 year old friend in my knitting club that has made 20 of this pattern and gave all of them away and I was lucky enought to get one of them and she dont put a border on them but they are beautiful without it . Her sight has gotten worse so now she cant see to do them anymore so I consider myself lucky to have one of them. I may try to make one of these and I'll add the border on it as it's so pretty . Love your chanel 🤗 . Hugs Maria Griffin from Upton Mass

    Wonderful tutorial!👏👏👏....My niece just had her baby last week and I have been working on a C2C blanket. I like this so much better. If I hadn't already been sewing ends in as I went, I would frog and make this. I get really bored doing blankets so I avoid them. But this has enough change ups in it that I could work this without the boredom. Beautiful colors. I received my mail Monday and was like a kid when I saw an envelope from you. Hi Christa! This blanket is beautiful! I love it, the popcorn at every end, makes it very special, and the edges with all the colors in the blanket just gorgeous. Thanks again for your wonderful ideas in this tutorial, it teaches us to be more daring to put more yarn, and colors, love it! Have a peaceful weekend. xx 🐢💟

    I learned this forty years ago. I learned it so differently. I learned chain 5 then do a granny corner. Turn the work and slip stitch over two dc and into the middle and do another granny corner. Turn the work, Grow your strip. Then join border color and do exactly what you do all around but do a ch 2 between chicklets. To join the strips you either crochet or sew them together. I could do the pattern without looking. I would make strips while driving to Vermont . Then while my boyfriend was skiing I would crochet my border around the strips. He would sleep the whole way home so I made more strips. I crocheted along with your tutorial but I found it more complicated. I do however love your border and will use that.

    I have made many many many of these but I use verigated yarn for the center and then a lighter color and then a darker one for the outside. I've made them for adult sized bedspreads. So fun because you can make them as long and as wide as you want. Fun pattern!!

    This is an amazingly fast pattern stitch! I'm using it to make a shawl using Ice Yarn, Rockabilly Color (turquoise). I might modify it a bit to make it look like a peacock (the shawl) because of the colors in the yarn. It will probably only take me a couple days to complete because of this stitch being soooo quick. Thank you so much! (I tagged you in Insta on a pic of my shawl start).

    I LOVE this pattern!! This is the kind of pattern where you can just start the strip, turn on a movie and just go all "Jonah's Hands" on it from start to finish. I got going so fast on one strip that I did 60 "chicklets" before remembering to stop and count, LOL! After I finish this baby blanket, I'm planning to do a "Peacock Shawl" using Ice Yarns (Rockabilly, I think?) and black for the border. I will be sure to tag you on Insta when I finish these. Thanks again, Christa!!! Love your stuff!
