Hi there, I bought 85% cotton 15% polyester yarns in 3 colours to crochet a mile a minute bedspread for my queen size bed. My problem is each one of my first three strips vary in length. However each FIRST finished length of "1st pat of pattern" has 144 rows. How on earth are they all in different lengths. I am so disappointed. I hope someone can assist me. Tx Sue
Why do you act like that? It is really goofy. We would all appreciate it if you video instructors cultivated a professional manner and kept your instructional video intros to Hi, I'm so&so and I'll teach you x,y,z. Then do it. Thanks. Hope to see improvement next time I tune in.
@@stevemalan7264 it's been awhile but nobody seems to be answering you. Perhaps your tension is changing as you crochet? Mine sometimes changes a bit if I keep working after I'm tired. Also, it could be the yarn. Yarns sometimes relax as we work, esp as the skein gets smaller and looser. Have you tried crocheting on a table top? It keeps the yarn from stretching due to the weight of the project as it grows. Hope this helps. Happy hooking.🙋
Years ago I made a mile-a-minute blanket for a new nephew (he’s 18 now and still loves it). My dad remarked at how lovely it was, so I made him one in his size. How timely this is. I was searching yesterday on how to make a mile a minute blanket. I love this! Thank you so much! I wanted you to also know that my 17 year old granddaughter has been learning to crochet and I told her about your channel and she loves how you teach! You reach many different age levels. Thank you so much again!!
I mean, why not start another project 😅🤣 ! Who doesn’t love a good crochet blanket!!!?? This is so cute :). Im doing a 2021 temperature blanket in all HDC, so this would be fun with the different stitches. Your energy and sweetness is addicting! Thanks for being you!
This first strip makes 60” in length. I watched the whole video to find this one measurement. I would find in helpful if Jayda could document the measurements in the description box. Also what if we would like to make it smaller or larger? A quick chart of how many rows per blanket size would be very helpful.
HI Robyn, you can adjust the length by adjusting the number or rows, just write the number down to refer to later :) The overall measurement of your strips doesn't matter, so long as they're all the same. Thank you for the suggestion about posting measurement info - the measurements were given at 3:00 in this video at the material section :)
Hey Jayda, I am knew to this page, I have done a lot of crocheting with your tutorial and I have learned a lot of knew ideas. Always want to learn a quick way to use up my knit thank god for your teaching this to use 😇
I was so excited to see this pattern! I've seen other people do Mile A Minute blanket, and always have wanted to try it too!
They're fast and fun...and fantastic stash busters too!
This is so amazing. I’m actually going to use this pattern to make a scarf for my daughter. And then I’m going to use up all of my leftover yarn to make a blanket can’t wait to get started, thank you.
Sounds great! 😁
I look forward to your intros! Those are cute characters! Going to try this, thanks.
Thank you so much Vina!
Hi Jayda InStitches thank you for showing me how to make the Mile -A- Minute Crochet Calendar blanket and have a good day😎💟❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🎉
You are so welcome!
What a fantastical surprise for this Friday. I learn so much from you. Never heard of a mile a minute pattern.
Thank you! 💜🥰🌺
See you soon!!! Stay safe 🖖🏻
Hi Su! They're not quite as famous as granny squares, but they're about as old ;) And they're super stash busters!
I am so glad you are showing this panel blanket. I will joyful begin one.
Got so enthralled watching i forgot to hit the like button and had to come back. So I'll just watch again.
* giggle * Thank you Linda 😁
Thank you. I wasn’t going to make a calendar blanket this year but it looks so easy and quick that I’ve changed my mind. Thank you. I’m inspired again 😊😊😊
We're so happy to hear that!
❤️ Now I have to figure out what colors to use for this year's blanket!
I was personally thinking birthstone colors . Though you can do seasonal colors, whatever that happens to be where you live ❤️
@@masuganut2082 The sampler blanket of 2018 I did in birthstones. Thinking sunflower colors to match my dining room and put it on that wall.
@@mamabenzing5872 sunflowers are my favorite!!! So I think that’s a wonderful idea! Not that I’ll see it but I can picture it and it looks amazing 🥰
I am so glad to have found this on my Google news feed. I haven't made a blanket in a few years, I have just been knitting. I have completed the inner colour in such a short time but can't avoid my bed for any longer, lol! I am excited to be crocheting again. And a strip a month still gives me plenty of time for my other UFO's I have lying about. Thank you!
HI Laura! Thank you for watching :)
This is so much fun! Thank you again! And I have never heard this “mile a minute” blanket 🧶🧶🧶. Always happy to learn something new (and easy) 😄

That is awesome! Thank you for watching Lindsay 😁
How Wonderful! Thank you BOTH so much for watching Brenda :)
* adds another WIP to the pile * 😁 Welcome aboard Robin!💗
I’m really learning a lot from you. I have 13 rows never done this before and I’m proud of myself lol
Hi Bethenny, that's wonderful! Thank you so much for watching :)
This first strip makes 60” in length. I watched the whole video to find this one measurement. I would find in helpful if Jayda could document the measurements in the description box. Also what if we would like to make it smaller or larger? A quick chart of how many rows per blanket size would be very helpful.
to make mine bigger i am using chunky yarn and a bigger hook
HI Robyn, you can adjust the length by adjusting the number or rows, just write the number down to refer to later :) The overall measurement of your strips doesn't matter, so long as they're all the same. Thank you for the suggestion about posting measurement info - the measurements were given at 3:00 in this video at the material section :)
Yes!! I have been wanting to make this type of blanket, thank you!! Very excited to start...
Wonderful! And here we go....! 😁

I wish I could catch your morning lives! My job promotion has changed my schedule 😔 love your videos! Hi guys miss you
Hello, the best yet. EASY, QUICK, AND FAST. Thank You
You got it! 😁
Well decided I'd join in this years blanket I did the country scene one( my grandson loves it and he's 14). Last year I did a temperature one, it's very very long lol but it's 2020 fitting lol.
This looks fun and I have lots of scraps.
Perfect! :)
Thank you Jayda, love this and look forward to February! Be safe !
Same to you Elsa!
I would SO use the red and pink for February! Very Valentine's Day!
💗
I did one of these years ago! I'm deciding which yarn to use up.. Thinking of going with the "colors of the year" gray and yellow, or maybe just a rainbow, to destash...
Hi Jolene! Since I'm using up what I have...I have a feeling this year's blanket is going to be more like a rainbow 😁
I love your videos Jayda. This will be pretty. Might do one like this for my new granddaughter
Thank you so much Jayne 😊

So excited for this project! Another remnant buster. So awesome!
😁
My sister in law started this and then told me about it. She lives in Missouri and I’m in Illinois. She asked if I’d do it “with” her, so we are doing this blanket together! It’s also my first CAL! I loved it so much I’m doing 2 and I’ll give one blanket as a gift 😄
What a great idea! 💗
I love the intro with your darling little “kids”!! They are

Thanks for sharing this it is only way I will make a blanket. I like small projects
You’re welcome 😊
Your intro totally rocks! Mile-a-minute is a great pattern, and I've got RHSS coming out of my ears. Yarn has taken over my house, and now it's going to take over this afghan. lol
* giggle * Me too! This is definitely a stash blanket for me this year!
YESSS!!! I’ve been waiting for this since you announced it on your live stream! This will be my first time doing a calendar blanket!! I Can’t wait to see what yours looks like as the year goes along! Thank you jayda!!!🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful! 😁
What a great idea. My January strip is done; it went so fast! Turquoise blue and light blue.
The Intro was soooo cute....great job, of course I missed it live, but watching now. Have a good weekend 🌈
Hi Dawn, it wasn't live, so don't worry, you didn't miss anything 😁
I'm building my stash, so I picked a beautiful combo of icy blues for my January strip. I went ahead and bought my February yarns - some adorable pinks! I'm getting ready to get some greens for March! I'm literally going to be building my idea of a calendar with this blanket!!! Thanks for doing this!!
Beautiful! welcome aboard the project Christine!
So, looking forward to this Mighty Mile CAL! Love the intro, too...!
Thank you Vicki!
I made this mile a minute blanket 25 years ago! Love it. Maria
A few days ago you were talking about bowls to hold yarn. Why buy one? I use a plastic coffee container that once held my coffee grounds. It works great for anyone frugle at craft supplies like me.
Good morning jayda and Mr stitches I have always wanted to do this stitch. I have a lot of yarns left over in my stash. I am going to start making this.
I always wanted to do this split shell stitch. Thankyou for showing me this today.
