Awesome DIY Electric Outboard

Yep. Awesome. Well, it is to me!!!
The Electric motor is a 1.5HP Leeson 24VDC I ordered from the internet then had shipped to Panama. ($360 plus shipping)
I paid the local-ish junk man $20 for the broken outboard.
The extension is fiberglass that I put into a hand made sheet metal mold.
I used a regular old galvanized steel pipe for the shaft extension. Some scrap PVC pipe pieces filled the space between the shaft and the pipe and keep it more or less centered.
