DIY Solar Sail Boat. Solar Punk style

Yep, this is my new ride.
It looks like it may be fast enough to make useful hydro foils for it, too. :-)
1750Watts of solar power.
1.5HP electric motor on an old 2.5HP outboard bottom.
Roughly 30 gallons of resin and the accompanying amount of fiberglass matt, and woven roving.
I still have the molds so I can make more with variations fairly easily. :-) First, though, I'm thinking of making big big fiberglass gears to move the solar sail.
On a last note... if we make it a priority to be sustainable we can do it. Imagine how amazing the world would be if plastic were only used for long term use items, and never for single use cups and bottles.
OK OK, one more last note. The title of this video is something of an inside joke. ...and someone is going to find it hilarious.
