What did you use to shine the engine up like that
Nice job Jourdon! I've watched a million YT videos where peeps are lazy. You are like me, clean it up and polish it. I go so far as to file off the casting seams and Mothers polish everything. Yes! I have several dremel tools and a machine shop now. I'm probably older than your pops. RedBud is my local track, been there many times. I like your shed shop.

Yeah, too many builds like that. Plus, a lot of people don't really have the ability to drop $5k in parts and powdercoating.

Love these motors. Using that plastic cover for the flywheel you'll want to take it off an clean inside when you really get the bike dirty. Like you said idk why honda still made those plastic side covers. Great build man.

hell yea man just got a 1990 cr250 for $500. condition is rough so im gonna try restoring it as much as i can. mind you ive never really worked on bikes i just got a pitbike for the first time last year. still gonna send it/ your vids are awesome dude! subbed

I recently seized my engine (I think won’t kick at all) and getting ready to rebuild wasn’t to excited to start bc I’ve never rebuilt an engine but this made me feel a lot better
I know that this is too late, but I had a chain adjustment bolt problem. Solution was to grind down the nut evenly as thin a needed. Still working ten years later.
Just bought a 2000 cr250, il be checking out the motor and rebuilding the top end too!

@@JourdonGulick yeah! I got a 91 cr125 I just built, but really looking forward to this cr250, got it for a grand, needs cylinder reserved, I gotta check out the bottom end. Bike came in pieces

Looks like a weisco (seizco) piston
lean on the main jet would be the problem or crap partially clogging it! Causing high EGT
What did you use to shine the engine up like that?
Ik this is 2 years ago but that’s a wiseco piston that came out of it 🤣

Just a combination of a bolt, nut and large washers I had laying around. Appreciate it 👍
The chain adjuster bolt on my '01 broke inside the swingarm. What do you think is the best fix? Thank you once again!
You'll most likely have to drill it out and retap the threads.
dude i have a 1990 cr250 and i cant find the right side clutch case lol do you know what models will fit a 90?

what buffing pad do you use?
You can get some cheap ebay scotch brite pads or take a look at PrymeMX.com for some more durable ones.

'01 bike and engine. Last year of this engine family. Some say the best Honda 250 engine.
Keihin pwk38 air striker swap the bike the tmx is junk ! and a 02-07 crf 250 swing arm will work on this bike and it a good swap
