Just makes some more personal experience between you and I… 03 😁 You can easily identify this engine apart from others, as it is a case-reed style engine the last generation CR 250s were all built this way. You can then identify the 2002 through 2004 models apart from 2005 through 2007 (when production ended) by the exhaust flange that is bolted to the exterior of the cylinder in order to accept the Head pipe. 2002 through 2004 used this male flange, and the 2005 through 2007 used a female port in the casting of the cylinder itself rather than the exhaust flange found on the older model.
mXrevival ? I have 3 question for you. When it comes to the Honda xr650l. What's the difference from the 1995 model, the 2000 model and the 2019-2020 model other than the years ? If these bikes were to race with the same amount of mileage on them, which one would win ? is one more powerful then the other ?
I've never owned one of those myself. Sorry I'm not sure, it's a good question! I'd be willing to bet you could find all of that information pretty readily on Google though, since they are the typical specs that would be highlighted there. Sorry I don't have that information for you 😢
@@mxrevival ? I just found out that the 1985 Honda XL600R has 2 carburetors on it and can get up to 100MPH. I wonder what would happen if you put 2 Lectrons carbs on it or what would happen if you put 2 Lectron carbs on your bike ?
Hey, you seem to know a lot about the CRs. So recently I was able to pick up a 96 CR250 engine. I rebuild 2 strokes been at it for 12 years. I ride YZs, however, I own a CR500AF I built using an 03 roller for nothing. My question is I’m about to build a CR250AF using an 07 CRF250R roller I got for $200. I already had the 96cr250 engine fully rebuilt. I was wondering if the bottom half of the 96 is the same as the 97 CR250?
I'm so glad I found this channel.
Happy to have ya!

A suggestion would be add the year of the CR to your title or description. It’s not listed anywhere or mentioned in the video that I heard.

I'm rebuilding a 1998 CR250 from the bottom up. It needs a new crank. Would you go oem or get a bottom end kit, or hot rods etcetera
I would have the bottom end rebuilt and balanced with OEM parts by a company called Crank Works
@@mxrevival awsome.thanks man When I pulled it appart it had a Wiseco crank that was put in my the last owner.
