im about to head up to Shaver in a couple weeks, wondering how far is the water level from the top of the damn? that water flow into the lake looks pretty intense!
If I had to guess it looks like it’s 5-10 feet. It is definitely at full capacity. You can still see a much higher water line on the shore though. I’d gather that was how high the water used to get until they redid the damn.
Careful bro, don’t get those engines too accustomed to that freshwater, they might revolt on the salt! Awesome video as always. Was that the weekend of 5/20-21? My buddies were up there on 5/21 and couldn’t keep the smallmouths off the hook.
At the end of my video I released the trout that lived. My goal was to release both but that’s not practical using a baited treble hook. Glad to hear others catch and release also. Thanks for watching :)
Thank you for the video. I'm so glad you captured this video for us! That's a huge catch as well. Happy fishing!
Thank you! You guys were awesome. Thanks for the anchor!
That was a good day of fishing. Nice to meet you at the lake. Thai xiong . The blue bass boat.
Heck yea man! Nice to meet you. Hopefully fish with you sometime soon 👍🏼
Great fish!
Thank you!
Did you use power bait on a dropshot?

If you don’t mind me asking where was this on the lake

Yes I went last weekend! Dude the other boats were killing the smallmouths. Crazy
Any tips for my next trip to shaver lake !!? I don’t own a boat tho 😒😂 but I’ll take any tip !!🤩
How’s it going! I love the spot next to the dam for shore fishing. Always did well with orange or sherbet power bait 👍🏼
Those trout are planted, not native, should catch & release but people keep them, would be nice if they released so they can spawn
