thanks for sharing this TRUTH Bas my 87 yr old " Baptist " all her life mom , told me the other day that the church ( building ) is God's house . I corrected her by reminding her that believers are the church and not a building.
Amen and Amen....I grew up in the Charismatic churches and yes, up to today we are being guilt tripped about having to attend church on Sundays...what a lot of bulldust! Now I am free indeed from all legalistic rules and regulations. I am proclaiming the truth on my website (www.reflectionsofesther.com) with the question: Churchians OR Christians? Thanks Bas
Hi, I understand all that you said and I feel good about that. I have not going to “church” regularly for a long time and I can even heal people (I learned to it getting with Randy Clark guys - later watching videos from many people). But here in Brazil where I was born and live, it’s difficult to live like that because I am criticized very often. When I used to go to “church” I used to feel bad about myself because the sermon was always about something that put you down, and all those things they tell us to do like stand up, sit down, raise your hands etc. make me feel stupid. So when I don’t go I feel normal again and not guilty. I read the bible with my family, I pray alone and with my family, and even go out or at somebody house to pray for the sick and they get healed, but I’m not allowed to pray for people from certain “church”, for they say; as I don’t go to church it may not even be God who heals through me!
I left church 10 yrs ago becoz I did not feel "good" enough to go anymore and becoz of the unspoken threats and consequences if I did not do what God wanted me to do.I do not regret leaving and am happier now than when I was going to church.
Claude Clement Egbung - I think you’re misunderstanding the message here. It’s not about giving up meeting together with our brothers & sisters in Christ because that is very important in the Christ life but the comment made here was regarding the man made Institutionalised Church which has nothing to do with the Christ life.
Oh, thankyou Bas! I myself do not go to church, but do believe in God and I know he has answered my prayers many times in my life. I just got into a heated argument with an old school friend 2wks ago, who started going to the Christian Church again in the last 1 1/2yrs ago, because she was so unhappy in her own life. I, myself am happy. She was basically telling me if I don't go to church, God doesn't hear me or answer my prayers! Wow, talk about been Righteous, she is it! Her Pastor said to her, that she was too pushy with me and she should back, as I'm not ready apparently! Lol...I couldn't believe what she was saying to me. She kept crossing those Boundaries with me, and I dropped her as my friend now, I just couldn't handle her anymore unfortunately. I want to thankyou for your remarks on this subject!
getwithit51 - regarding what your friend said about “God can’t hear your prayers if you don’t go to church” Tell her the story of Cornelius (the Centurion). He wasn’t a Christian yet but God heard his prayers.
Sir, your message is ON POINT and I give it, you, a hearty YES, AMEN!!! Great message!!! There are a group of us ministers who speak on Conference Calls regularly. We discuss this very subject frequently and your message here is exactly what we espouse. Thank you very much for such a great messa
The Lord showed me the same thing as I read His word over and over, in the NEW Testament I seen this reality also which you share. People are scared of change. It's in the bible! I've seen it in many places Hebrews is one of them. Great Video, and It's the Truth.
Hi Bas, I know what you've said here is the truth my brother, and I believe like you do because that is what I got from the gospels. I stopped going to congregational meetings on a regular basis because I don't want to be "churched". I've seen what it can do for us and it can be positive but also some negativity that resembles a carnal social club. I know folks who attend church twice per week and numerous bible classes, yet they are not enlightened to the gospel and the Grace of God which governs the body of Christ in this era. They want a position in church, they want the pastor's attention, they want the pastor, their mind isn't renewed and they cling to a church clique of like minded thinkers within the congregation. There isn't any independent neighborly action on their part bc they believed it was all done in their attending the congregational meeting and paying tithes. These types irritate me greatly.
Sir, your message is ON POINT and I give it, you, a hearty YES, AMEN!!! Great message!!! There are a group of us ministers who speak on Conference Calls regularly. We discuss this very subject frequently and your message here is exactly what we espouse. Thank you very much for a great message
I am starting to get over my church hurt slowly but surely but there's many things I just don't like in the church building such as making you stand for songs, constantly guilt tripping you into tithing, many pastors not teaching the true gospel, mostly about what you could do for the verses for God, bashing past members for leaving their Church by basically dismissing their reasoning which is just beyond sick, pastors not trying to connect with their members, pushing memberships on people even when they say they don't want to sign a membership, pastors caring about power, pastors caring about their riches, pastors caring about getting klout vs winning souls to Christ, pastors only greeting down for a few seconds before they leave and most church members gossiping/ignoring other people new or old in the church, most church members causing division into the church and the pastor not rebuking them for it! I am a lot happier now that I no longer go to church and would prefer to go to at home Bible study because it feels more personal and it feels more of what a church should be like. It does make me happy to be with other believers outside of a physical Church setting.
Hey there! Wow, I really hear you on that-sounds like you've had quite the journey! Super glad you're finding a happier place with at-home Bible studies. 🎉 By the way, you can unlock some exclusive content and connect with more like-minded folks through this link: go.gracegaze.com/go. Keep that spirit up! 🙌
Legalism no, being part of his living body yes. A thumb on its own is useless, but with a body it's extremely useful. The word church has been demeaned to just mean assembly or congregation, instead of "the called out ones". His body is the church.
Thank you for this very helpful teaching which confirms the need to have a revelation of what Church is really all about! You're very articulate and that does help a lot in the renewing of the mind we all need!
This is my experience of being a son of God. Church never kept me hot for God. My personal day by day connection with the Holy Spirit is what kept me hot.
Best teachings in general that I have heard. Total freedom with Grace. Thank you, I want to listen to all your teachings. I don't see area to input my email for notices from you.
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
Nice quote but what are you trying to say? Do you understand the passage? First of all, what assembling of ourselves is he speaking of? To say it's a Sunday morning service or a Sabbath service would be reading into the text something that it doesn't say. It can be any meeting of fellowship for believers in any environment. In addition, I don't think that passage is talking about "church attendance" at all. The Greek word translated "assembling of ourselves," is the same Greek word used in 2 These 2:1-2 that is talking of us being gathered to Christ at His coming. These are the only two places this Greek word is used. So the passage you quote is probably saying that we need to continue to encourage each other as we keep in our minds that time when we'll be gathered to Him, and "so much the more as you see the Day approaching." What Day? The day of us being gathered to Him. Hope that clears up any confusion on that passage that you quoted. God bless.
Like I teach my children. One lie leads to another. We can only 'worship God in spirit and in truth." So if we live in lies who are we really worshipping.
I always looked down on churches that excommunicate people. Some of our family friends went through this and turned from church leaders to athiests or agnostics. I was recently kicked out of a bible study because I was honest about the sin I was struggling with in my life. They told me if I was struggling with sin then I am not a Christian. How is this biblical? Jesus taught to prostitutes and criminals but now suddenly we are expected to be sin-free? That's the problem with many churches... They try to convince you that their way is right and you don't get a chance to discover God for yourself. Reading the Bible vs just hearing it preached has changed my life
Some good points mentioned here, but many people stay connected by going to church and its very helpful in the long run...because lots of ppl don't motivate themselves to stay hot for God. Surely its not a church program, or building that connects us, "The Church" but most ppl don't have "a tribe" of ppl they are connected with. So outside of "going to church" they are isolated and discouraged... no man is an island, right? I know when I go to church it helps encourage me very much. I get scriptures/and perspectives that God blesses me with that i may have over-looked, I get new downloads from heaven, words of encouragement, I get interactions with people and on-and-on. but I'm not your average Christian either... I follow a grace type theology too. I don't go to churches that just have man made agendas, I go to events where the presence of God is leading and interacting with us. I do get what you are saying about just going to church is not what we need. I also believe telling people that they don't need to go to church will disconnect them from what may be a lifeline to them. so many people misunderstand what we say and we'll take this message as "I don't have to go to church" and it may just be what causes them to become cold, isolated and not pursuing a deep, intimate relationship with God. Just sayin'
joy marshall Thank you for sharing Joy! Yes, I totally agree. What you're saying is what I aim bringing across with this video and others. Good that you comment, so we get a richer explanation, in case people would misunderstand the purpose of this video somewhat. Have a wonderful day ahead Joy. Grace and peace, Bas
It seemed u repeated yourself often and if I didn't know better, it sounded like you were discouraging ppl from going to church... careful. Ppl read more than we mean, and misunderstand most things... cuz they may be using a different listening filter, right? I myself have been grossly misunderstood, all my life.
hi I love your teaching is a light like you said did read pagan Christianity? if yes what did think of God bless you in nama of our Lord and Savior Jesus
I agree with his teaching that each believer should get away from the institution and have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD. The LORD Himself told us not to call any human our teacher or father, but that The LORD alone was Our ONLY Teacher and Father - Matthew 23:8-10 However the STRONGEST CONCERN with the grace movement is that IT IS A PETRI DISH FOR DEMONS. When we were saved our spirits got saved and became one with The LORD - we are as He is and we are Holy in His Sight - 1John 4:17, Hebrews 2:11. Our souls - physical body, mind, will and emotions remained the same. If that was not true every person who gets saved will immediately be 100% healed of every ailment and would never have a problem with anger etc. And we know that does not happen. Beyond that there a people who have evil spiritual hangers on/evil entities/demons because they were vulnerable to deep hurt, abuse or a transference of a genetic/ancestral evil through their blood. ALL those things have been DEFEATED BY CHRIST but it is the believer who has to enforce that defeat in their souls by casting out those entities of the abuse they suffered. The grace movement while ignoring the demon casting out issue sometimes has preached that people cannot be possessed with demons. The new age movement teaches the same. As a result THE DEMONS REMAIN AND GET A STRONGER HOLD IN THE PERSON'S LIFE and the confusion that arises can lead the grace movement to justify every aberration that INVITES DEMONS IN like homosexuality etc. because they FOCUS ONLY ON LOVE!. While a believer cannot be possessed in his spirit by demons, his soul can be. ALSO EVERYTHING SUPERNATURAL IS NOT OF THE GOD OF TRUTH. evil can manifest with supernatural "healings" etc. which are a DECEPTION - they don't last and will cause the person to be worse than they were. roman catholic exorcism is one because the religion is rooted in pagan sun worship and satan will not fight against satan. William Branham who is known for his supernatural gifts, often true gifts where people even today testify of how they were helped, was said, by his assistant Ern Baxter, to operate with 2 spirits. This can happen especially when the preacher/person is under pressure to perform, or through DECEPTION and their ego, goes outside of his assignment from The LORD. A person called to be only an evangelist can try to teach or think he or she is a prophet or apostle when The LORD never called them into that ministry. In all ministry in The Name of the LORD GOD of Truth, and the Father of The LORD Jesus (Yehoshua), the minister must be dead to his or her flesh and be ONLY Spirit in The Father, with the ONLY desire to be a conduit of His Will and Word for every person. As the apostle John said, He must increase and we must decrease. The LORD told us that believers in Him will cast out demons. It is a supernatural sign THAT WILL FOLLOW BELIEVERS. Let us not miss His Ministry by deception of darkness that is defeated when exposed and allowed to multiply and destroy when able to hide. The LORD said that satan comes to KILL STEAL AND DESTROY - John 10:10. If we see that happening in the lives of people including believers let us seek the LORD to teach us and let us check every teaching with Him as He is OUR ONLY TEACHER.
I agree that we are the church. The word church should have been translated "The called out" or the congregation. Where I believe you are hurting Christ followers is to totally ignore, at least in this video that God has called Pastors, teachers, evangelist to teach the followers of Christ how to do ministry. There were groups all through the New testament that answered the call: "Gods called out at...you name the city here. I feel you have left folks with a grace that is as far to one side as law was to the other! I strongly agree with your message I just believe you need to answer the need for elders and others who God has called to "Watch for our souls!" Don't you?
this is the beauty of the Holy Spirit. When say there are a fellowship of believers meeting in various homes, if they are truly seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance and looking to the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ...these roles will be revealed to them from within the body. The Holy Spirit has dispensed gifts for the betterment of the body. Those who eventually fulfill the role as a leader are not a leader in the modern day church sense. In other words, it's not a one man show, or where everyone has to submit the rulership of a leader. In fact those with those leadership gifts are not to "lord it" over folks. They are more like the Holy Spirit in their actions where they come alongside to spiritually support and comfort. Plus, they carry not titles. Jesus condemns such a use of titles of address (Mathew 23). Hope that helps.
If one just goes and sits by there self Sunday after Sunday .And you don't get in evolved and neither of them seem to care about you why go? And yes I do get tired of the same thing Every Sunday. After a while you feel like your just fuflimg a bunch of Riarols .
Also, what do you do with all the New Tenement scriptures that talk about Leaders, Elders, and Deacons in the local body of Christ? And all of the commands to preach the word and devote yourself to the public reading of scripture etc. if you don't gather together to hear preaching or the word read, and you don't submit yourself the the leadership of the elders? I think you are missing huge chunks of the New Testament.
Aww...finally an easy question. When a gathering (probably in a home..as in the first few centuries of the church) gained maturity there were those who fulfilled certain roles for a time. For instance, Paul told Titus that he wanted him to appoint elders in every city. In a small city there might just be one house congregation...in a large city there might be several homes where believers gathered. So there would be older, mature men who acted as spiritual overseers for that city. This doesn't mean that they were the "boss," or the lord of the manor, they served more the role of the Holy Spirit, in that they would come alongside folks in a loving fashion and support them spiritually. Today we see the roles as more authorial in nature than they were. These weren't titles on letterhead, etc. In fact, Jesus condemns the use of religious titles in any setting (Matthew 23). There is a really good book entitled, Pagan Christianity, where the author goes over some of these points. I think you might enjoy it.

I really like the way you bring that out. I would have to ask though. How would the 5 fold ministry of a pastor function without (at least) an established meeting time and place on a regular basis... also in 1 corinthinans 14: PAUL USES THE WORD CHURCH TO REFER TO A LOCAL ASSEMBLY. . 1 COR. 14:18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye alL 1co 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue\ YOU WOULD ALSO HAVE TO DEFINE WHAT THE WORD OF GOD MEANS BY A FLOCK WHEN IT SAYS "FEED THE FLOCK"... 1peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; HERE IS THE GREEK WORD FOR FLOCK: poivmnion Poimnion (poym'-nee-on); Word Origin: Greek, Noun Neuter, Strong #: 4168 a flock (esp.) of sheep a group of Christ's disciples bodies of Christian (churches) presided over by elders if the "flock never flocked, then you would have a body of believers that are disconnected. HOWEVER, I AGREE THAT PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE THE CHURCH (NOT THE BUILDING) BUT HOWEVER THE CHURCH BODY NEEDS TO ASSEMBLE FOR VARIOUS REASONS .... Ac 4:23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. iT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE A "COMPANY" TO REPORT TO .... SO TO SPEAK... A BODY OF ASSEMBLED BELIEVERS OF LIKE FAITH TO SHARE THE WORD TOGETHER , PRAY TOGETHER, A PLACE TO COMPEL THEM TO COME INTO.... don't you think?
Good comments. Thank you for adding value to the community here. I think you're right. The point of the video is indeed to get us to see that the Church is people and not a building, place, etc. But we, of course, NEED some type of getting togethers (just like the apostles etc did as we read in Acts) and that can take many shapes, forms and ways for the purpose that you mention.
there is no scripture that says that you have to give to any church weekly. the closest we get to that picture is in 1 Cor 16:1-2, however in that passage it says to "lay by in store," in other words "save weekly." And it was for a one time offering to help needy saints, not forever. Hope that helps.
In Romans 14, Paul basically says that it doesn't matter the day. We are not free in Christ to honor Him whatever we see fit. You have to remember that the Sabbath day was a covenant between God and Israel. Also in the New Testament there is no command as to what day to meet or gather. In fact, in some cases believers are fellowshipping every day.
Don't forget routine is Godly also. Do you have a shower in the morning or brush jour teeth?? Do you let your children tell you what to cook whenever you want.? God does have order. Do you believe in a week,? Do you believe in days? There us some organization. Do you let your kids do whatever they want whenever they want?? Do you think a company should let everyone do whatever they want when they want to?? So NO RULES. let your kids get up when they want to. Don't tell them ANYTHING
Hi I've exp a measure of freedom in your philosophy however if you may use more scripture to back up your claims and or read more the comments and reply to them . However I do think your onto something a bit if truth
Church is a building. The people are not the church. The people are the ekklesia. The church is a manmade institution The ekklesia is what Christ is building. Jesus said “on this rock I will build my ekklesia” not the word that replaced it, “church”. Church means “the ruler’s house” whereas ekklesia refers to a congregation of people called out from one place and into another. We are called out of the world system. The world system is part of what Jesus referred to when He told His disciples “the rulers of the gentiles like to Lord it over the people... not so with you.” Come out of the world system and the way the sinful world builds institutions. You are called into Christ and He is establishing His Ekklesia.
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1Jn 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1Jn 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 1Jn 2:4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1Jn 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 1Jn 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Luke 8 verse 21 Bible - Commandments of the New Covenant 1. Believe in Jesus Christ 2. Love others even as I have loved you. To make this clearer, we are to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ our saviour then we are to bask in the love of the Father in turn this will overflow to loving others. Loving others is the overflow of God’s love for us. You cannot truly love unless you’ve been shown how to love.
your God and my god the first in the universe he found the sabbath in creation rested blessed holy the Sabbath this enough l donot want to talk about any because l respect and love my creator there in no excuse to destroy God law you teach others to do sin when you destroy God law
The word church in the Bible (ekklésia) means gathering or assembly. How can you be the church and not gather or assemble in large groups regularly to encourage one another?
you are right, that is apart of the meaning but to simply say that it means to be called out only defines half the word. Here is the definition and usage in the Bible according to Strong's concordance, they are pretty much the standard. Strong's G1577 - ekklēsia Outline of Biblical Usage: a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly an assembly of the people convened at the public place of the council for the purpose of deliberating the assembly of the Israelites any gathering or throng of men assembled by chance, tumultuously in a Christian sense an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting a company of Christian, or of those who, hoping for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, observe their own religious rites, hold their own religious meetings, and manage their own affairs, according to regulations prescribed for the body for order's sake those who anywhere, in a city, village, constitute such a company and are united into one body the whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth the assembly of faithful Christians already dead and received into heaven Strong’s Definitions ἐκκλησία ekklēsía, ek-klay-see'-ah; from a compound of G1537 and a derivative of G2564; a calling out, i.e. (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both):-assembly, church. so it has elements of calling out but its a calling out to an assembly, here is a link if you are interested in more info. www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G1577&t=KJV
+Jamison Deacons but if you only say it's an assembly it loses its value in what the church truly is. But anyways don't listen to this guy he's full of lies that he makes up himself, nothing is backed by the bible at all.
Actually means "the called out ones." Why do you have to "gather in large groups regularly...?" Where is that found in the New Testament? For instance, with the jailer and his household, it was a very small group. With Cornelius, it was he, his family and friends. They gathered in homes.
A simple description of what a church looks like; * Church should be an interactive participatory family gathering. * Not governed by a program but by the Holy Spirit. * Not an institution but a family. The real church of Christ; Are living stones with no hierarchy. Paul set up elders not as leaders but as servants. The Throne of God has 24 elders Moses had 9 elders who were filled with the Spirit of God & spoke in unity. This is Christ's church where He serves us. Pastors, teachers, evangelist, prophets are functions of the body of Christ & not positions and are part of the church to serve the church & are built for the revelation of Christ. The only position is Eldership who's function is to serve & watch the church like an immune system. Real Church life: Is a way of living alongside other believers. Spending all time & energy focused on the Father's love, what Jesus is doing in us, and how we can live more freely in His Spirit. Then we'd know how to love one another. We'd be honest & open & support one another on this journey. Our focus would be on him, not ourselves & our needs, and some amazing things would happen.
that's where you're incorrect David. There is no Scripture that says one must attend a certain place every Sunday, or every Sabbath, etc. It just isn't there. And certainly Hebrews 10:24-25 doesn't teach that. It may merely be speaking of fellowship of any kind where we can encourage each other, wherever that might be.

Sounds like a wise decision - you escaped organized religion aka the endless hamsterwheel.
how do you compare this with heb10:24,25

Thanks for sharing! Very Encouraging!
Thank you!
This is my experience of being a son of God. Church never kept me hot for God. My personal day by day connection with the Holy Spirit is what kept me hot.
Once you frist believe in Jesus our Lord and Savior .He will never let you go anyway
Best teachings in general that I have heard. Total freedom with Grace. Thank you, I want to listen to all your teachings. I don't see area to input my email for notices from you.
Well said. So refreshing.
God bless.
very good my brothre god bless you for opening the eyes of his sheep one love
Amen my brother!
Thank you for making it available in you tube.
Like I teach my children. One lie leads to another. We can only 'worship God in spirit and in truth." So if we live in lies who are we really worshipping.
This fits well with the Ekklesia/Assembly understanding.
Reading the Bible vs just hearing it preached has changed my life
we have the same thought 🙏🙏🙏
Oh same thought...here dear😪... that's a reason I feel uncomfortable and hardly hear people sharing their struggle in sin 😪
good message bro!
tHANK YOU AND MY FAMILY
AMEN! Brother! AMEN!
How I to Bas? Good one brother. Greetings and much love from Poland.
Amen!!!! Amen!!!!Amen!!!!
Blessings
We NEED to have interaction with our brothers and sisters who are of one mind and one accord, otherwise the body is divided against itself.
My name is grace
Church attendance in the New Testament looks like 1st Corinthians... the book of Acts and Hebrews 10
hi I love your teaching is a light like you said did read pagan Christianity? if yes what did think of God bless you in nama of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Hebrews 13:5, not vs 7, if teaching must make it right.
I agree with his teaching that each believer should get away from the institution and have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD. The LORD Himself told us not to call any human our teacher or father, but that The LORD alone was Our ONLY Teacher and Father - Matthew 23:8-10
However the STRONGEST CONCERN with the grace movement is that IT IS A PETRI DISH FOR DEMONS.
But agree with the message, thank you.
Please bas, do a video regarding "willful sin"
It's in the pipeline. Don't know when this year it will be released
we all sin willfully from time to time, but we're saved through the blood of Jesus.
RECEIVE Jesus' GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS AND BE EMPOWERED to arise from every defeat and to shine gloriously.
REST SECURE KNOWING THAT NOTHING can CHANGE GOD'S UNWAVERING and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for YOU.

Richarols is what I'm trying to say .
And then there's the commnon a lot of them might do things the way you just thing should be deferent in doing.
I really like the way you bring that out. I would have to ask though. How would the 5 fold ministry of a pastor function without (at least) an established meeting time and place on a regular basis... also in 1 corinthinans 14: PAUL USES THE WORD CHURCH TO REFER TO A LOCAL ASSEMBLY. .
1 COR. 14:18
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye alL
1co 14:19
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue\
YOU WOULD ALSO HAVE TO DEFINE WHAT THE WORD OF GOD MEANS BY A FLOCK WHEN IT SAYS "FEED THE FLOCK"...
1peter 5:2
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
HERE IS THE GREEK WORD FOR FLOCK:
poivmnion Poimnion (poym'-nee-on);
Word Origin: Greek, Noun Neuter, Strong #: 4168
a flock (esp.) of sheep
a group of Christ's disciples
bodies of Christian (churches) presided over by elders
if the "flock never flocked, then you would have a body of believers that are disconnected.
HOWEVER, I AGREE THAT PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE THE CHURCH (NOT THE BUILDING)
BUT HOWEVER THE CHURCH BODY NEEDS TO ASSEMBLE FOR VARIOUS REASONS ....
Ac 4:23
And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. iT'S IMPORTANT TO HAVE A "COMPANY" TO REPORT TO ....
But we, of course, NEED some type of getting togethers (just like the apostles etc did as we read in Acts) and that can take many shapes, forms and ways for the purpose that you mention.
should I pay my tith (10% ) in the church? please help
+MAORI STREET EVANGELIST it's in the bible what the heck are you talking about
Nancy muthoni yes or donate to worthy cause
Nancy muthoni its to help the lesss fortunate
actually it's not in the Bible, at least not under the New Covenant of Christ.
there is no scripture that says that you have to give to any church weekly. the closest we get to that picture is in 1 Cor 16:1-2, however in that passage it says to "lay by in store," in other words "save weekly." And it was for a one time offering to help needy saints, not forever. Hope that helps.
Also 4th commandments states Sabbath day, that is a Saturday not s Sunday,
In Romans 14, Paul basically says that it doesn't matter the day.
The church is a manmade institution
The ekklesia is what Christ is building.
Jesus said “on this rock I will build my ekklesia” not the word that replaced it, “church”.
Church means “the ruler’s house” whereas ekklesia refers to a congregation of people called out from one place and into another.
We are called out of the world system.
The world system is part of what Jesus referred to when He told His disciples “the rulers of the gentiles like to Lord it over the people... not so with you.”
Come out of the world system and the way the sinful world builds institutions.
Luke 8 verse 21 Bible -
Commandments of the New Covenant
1. Believe in Jesus Christ
2. Love others even as I have loved you.
To make this clearer, we are to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ our saviour then we are to bask in the love of the Father in turn this will overflow to loving others.
Loving others is the overflow of God’s love for us.
You cannot truly love unless you’ve been shown how to love.
your God and my god the first in the universe he found the sabbath in creation rested blessed holy the Sabbath this enough l donot want to talk about any because l respect and love my creator there in no excuse to destroy God law you teach others to do sin when you destroy God law
if some body answer my commitment and give the answer appreciate
Don't weary your his .
The word church in the Bible (ekklésia) means gathering or assembly. How can you be the church and not gather or assemble in large groups regularly to encourage one another?
No it doesn't, ekklesia actually means "called out ones".
you are right, that is apart of the meaning but to simply say that it means to be called out only defines half the word. Here is the definition and usage in the Bible according to Strong's concordance, they are pretty much the standard.
Strong's G1577 - ekklēsia
Outline of Biblical Usage:
a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly
an assembly of the people convened at the public place of the council for the purpose of deliberating
the assembly of the Israelites
any gathering or throng of men assembled by chance, tumultuously
in a Christian sense
an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting
a company of Christian, or of those who, hoping for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, observe their own religious rites, hold their own religious meetings, and manage their own affairs, according to regulations prescribed for the body for order's sake
those who anywhere, in a city, village, constitute such a company and are united into one body
the whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth
the assembly of faithful Christians already dead and received into heaven
Strong’s Definitions
ἐκκλησία ekklēsía, ek-klay-see'-ah; from a compound of G1537 and a derivative of G2564; a calling out, i.e.
A simple description of what a church looks like;
* Church should be an interactive participatory family gathering.
* Not governed by a program but by the Holy Spirit.
* Not an institution but a family.
The real church of Christ;
Are living stones with no hierarchy. Paul set up elders not as leaders but as servants.
The Throne of God has 24 elders
Moses had 9 elders who were filled with the Spirit of God & spoke in unity.
This is Christ's church where He serves us.
Pastors, teachers, evangelist, prophets are functions of the body of Christ & not positions and are part of the church to serve the church & are built for the revelation of Christ.
The only position is Eldership who's function is to serve & watch the church like an immune system.
Real Church life:
Is a way of living alongside other believers.
Spending all time & energy focused on the Father's love, what Jesus is doing in us, and how we can live more freely in His Spirit.
Then we'd know how to love one another. We'd be honest & open & support one another on this journey. Our focus would be on him, not ourselves & our needs, and some amazing things would happen.
sun- day
Ekklesia
You have the right idea of what the church is but not having to go isn't true show scriptural proof not just what you think is true
that's where you're incorrect David. There is no Scripture that says one must attend a certain place every Sunday, or every Sabbath, etc. It just isn't there. And certainly Hebrews 10:24-25 doesn't teach that. It may merely be speaking of fellowship of any kind where we can encourage each other, wherever that might be.
