      @@doctorwebman the love that is spoken about here is not the love that humans can produce, if we're being honest. Christ-like love is possible only if Jesus is in us and we're in Him. Corinthians 13 1
      Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

      @@leorenthlei3186 "the love that is spoken about here is not the love that humans can produce, if we're being honest."
      Humans are able to lay their lives down for others, and that is the greatest love, according to Jesus. You are not in agreement with your own scriptures.
      Love is possible regardless of whether or not you are religious. The irreligious love just as much as believers do. Saying otherwise is actually quite arrogant.
      I have never needed Jesus in order to have profound love for others.
      Also, since Jesus intends to brutally torture me, my loved ones, my neighbors, and the overwhelming majority of the human population forever, he is not someone I would rely on for love. If anything, he must not know what love is, and is mostly filled with hatred for most people on the planet, or the utter indifference of a psychopath, assuming he even exists.
      If love keeps no records of wrongs, and your god is love, why does your god keep records of wrongs, so that he will torture most people forever?

    I often feel weary or grieved by the people in my life, so I avoid them a lot. I have been condemning myself for not being loving according to how I imagine it should be, yet at the same time, I dont want to be loving in a fake way. However, I have experienced a couple times that took me by surprise when the Lord took over me and spoke thru me to someone else. I also felt incredible love pour out of me as He was manifested. This video is a great reminder that we can just be, and Christ is in us. We dont have to mimic anything, because He is real.

    This is very helpful. I was just feeling bad about myself for not preaching the gospel at people. People don’t want to be preached at. They want to be loved and accepted. When the time is right the Spirit will open the door to share Jesus.

  • @adudeabides
    @adudeabides 6 лет назад +26

    This is a great teaching but I have one issue. I really do believe that allowing others to see the unique expression of Jesus in our own life is the best “evangelism” we have to offer. Our stories are unique as fingerprints and only we can tell them like we can. Natural conversations are preferable but are never promised. We are all a part of a series of someones in bringing people to saving faith in Jesus, but if read the three major stories of conversion in the book of Acts (the Ethiopian Eunuch, Cornelius, and Saul of Tarsus) you’ll see a terrified Simon Peter, a disengaged Philip, and a reluctant Ananias. They all had something they need to be progressively sanctified from during the process of sharing Jesus with someone else - fear, laziness, and preoccupation! You can see Peter’s transformation the most but this happened WHILE meeting with Cornelius, his entire Roman guard unit, and his family, not BEFORE.
    Safety not guaranteed!
    You said something at the last part of the the video about sharing the gospel without strain or stress. This is not Christianity. Following Jesus is filled with strain and very stressful moments coupled with the power and assurance of the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to look beyond the strain and stress of sharing the faith as a testimony of your willingness to agonize over people and their eternal destination. Many Christians will never share because the moment they feel the least pinch of social anxiety they think some strange level of suffering indicates they are not in the will of God. This is the cross, and it has a light and heavy end. But the death he died, he dies no more. This cross is yours my friend.

      strawberryshortcake I think one should learn and see what God the Father is doing, like Jesus did, learn to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit who Jesus promises to teach us ALL things and to lead us into ALL truth. Simple as that. Learning to ask God in each situation questions like, is this an opportunity Lord?, O God give me what You would have me to say to this or that person here please.

      Leaving tracts is an effective way to spread the gospel regardless of how obedient the one, who leaves them, may be. God is ultimately the one who will ensure the success of a tract. Though we all may try, none of us lives 100% according to the will of God
      Matthew 15:24 says:
      But he answered, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
      In Matthew 15, Jesus was speaking to the Jews. He initially came to set up His earthly kingdom in Israel. Gentiles were not His focus at the time. After His crucifixion, the earthly kingdom was put on hold until later because the Jews had rejected Him. His focus then turned to the salvation of the Gentiles. He directed Paul to begin the ministy of the body of Christ, which was not yet revealed as shown in the scripture below.
      Ephesians 3:9
      And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.
      The body of Christ was a mystery never spoken of before in the Bible until Paul.
      His ministry to the Jews was vastly different than the ministry as taught by Paul.
      Romans 11:13
      For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office
      With that in mind, we do not live by the teaching in Matthew 25. If scripture is taken out of the wrong dispensation, we can get ourselves in trouble. The Jews were taught that if they didn't live a certain way, salvation could be lost. But we live in the dispensation of grace in which we have eternal security

We should love but we should also be wise unto Gods ways to learn evangelism in wisdom.

    It takes everyone their own pace and on their own time to grow a strong, healthy relationship with God.
    Many people that I start out talking to about this, they know about God but that's about it.
    I can tell from their thinking and body language that they are conflicted.
    Usually it seems they are thinking, "if God loves me, then why did he let this happen?"
    Or:
    "If God loves me, then he would give me things I want."

  • @vanorsdelry
    @vanorsdelry 5 лет назад +5

    I cried listening to this too. I think it is so freeing to just let the love of christ express itself through you! I do disagree with the term "unconditional love" because I see so many places where Christ clearly spells out the conditions of Gods love. I wouldn't want anyone to think they can have Gods love while never repenting. I don't think that is what the video maker is saying though. Maybe he is more saying that God's offer of love is unconditional. That's different than living in his love after repenting and believing in Christ.
    Oh God is so kind to offer His love before we even repent. He offers a love relationship even while we hate him. He is so good!

    • @madisonstephens7441
      @madisonstephens7441 3 года назад

      Hey! This is just a minor thing that I think I disagree with you on. I think that when we are in the world God still loves us, His love is entirely unconditional. Why would He come down and sacrifice His life on the cross for people that would reject Him, if He didn't love them first? The problem is our love, not Gods. He loves us, but worldly people have yet to love him back and accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It's not that they don't have God's love, they don't have God's forgiveness because they haven't asked for it. Once we accept Jesus and make Him our Lord and savior, we can have a relationship with Him and we are saved. But even before that point God still loves us.

    • @vanorsdelry
      @vanorsdelry 3 года назад

      @@madisonstephens7441 I'm not sure we really disagree. God's offer of salvation is made to all. That is love for all. However he does place conditions on other parts of his love. Like you said forgiveness is conditioned on asking for and receiving forgiveness (which we know is sincere by the repentance we see in a person seeking forgiveness).
      Love is such a broad term in English. God loves us all as a redeemer by offering to redeem us all, but he only loves us as his children if we are his children. He is generous and he loved us first. If we respond to that love we start to experience the parts of his love and promises that carry conditions.

    I know you do think people may be drawn to you when they notice you are set apart from the world. But I do think we should take every opportunity to casually bring up something that may lead to saying something about Christ. Like I don't know what's going on in the world today and may say I think we are living in the end time, after you get to know them so you don't come across as pushy and we should never be pushy anyway. I have tracts and sometimes I leave them when I go to a doctor with his magazines or after I check out of a store hand one and almost all the time I get thank you. If they read it is up to them but I pray that God has been dealing with them so I see where you are coming from but I don't want their blood to be on my hands. God says he doesn't give us a spirit of fear but of a sound mind. And how long do you think they would see your good heart and example before saying something? We are living in the last days and we don't have much time but to be bold for Christ. I like a lot of your video's I just had to say something on this one.

    I agree that Christ is love, and we as Christians need to love. However, the problem with this idea is the fact that most people just think you are a nice person and are not going to ask you why are you so nice; if they do, then they might be thinking wow this person is too nice and then revert to your idea that they think you are pushing Christ if you say it’s because of Jesus. We live in a period where there are really loving people who don’t believe or follow Jesus; it’s not like only people that believe in Christ can love everyone. These folks are probably thinking wow, you need to have Christ in your life in order to love others?

    I agree that we are to love with our actions, but we are also to love with The Truth. Jesus came to us in grace and in TRUTH (John 1:14). I will never stop looking for opportunities to share my faith in Christ with my non-Christian friends. Yes I have an agenda, and that agenda is for them to be reconciled to Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:20) I believe this is the MOST loving thing I could do for them. If someone I loved was headed for a cliff, and all I did was do nice things for them along the way without warning them of the cliff, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. You either believe people are headed to hell without Christ, or you don’t. What are you, Christian, going to do about it?

    Hey Bas I love your videos ❤️ 😊 I just wanted to comment about the whole Morman thing. Through my own personal journey of being saved by the Grace of God. I actually read the book of Mormon from beginning to end. And all I gotta say is I shout Praise and Hallelujah to the Lord Almighty Jesus Christ! It was funny how I started reading that book I was high on Crystal Meth being tormented by demonds and I wanted to throw myself into oncoming traffic. As soon as I started to read it was like starting a really good movie. I was hooked. Tears flowed from my face dropping onto the pages 3/4 into the book from when Christ came till he left. Mormans are really misunderstood I think most humans are generally misunderstood. I'm trailing now lol Peace out RUclips Love and kisses 😘

    What happened to verse 16:16 of Mark 16:15-18 at time stamp 1:28;
    “16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
    The whole set of verses is as such...
    15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
    16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
    18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    Thank you for the encouraging words to love. I feel that when I share the gospel right off the bat that it comes from a place of true love and everyone's need that the true Christian see's is forgiveness and cleansing of sins through repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus which is what His love really is 1 John 4:10. I dont think that starting with the gospel should be frowned upon in any way. God shows his grace in some situations that make the lost ask first, but His grace and love are surely known in sharing the Gospel without a que from man with true love for the person. A man once said to me that if you share Christ and offend the person, that you haven't done it right..... this is soooo sad to me... God told us that we would be rejected and hated by men, not because of the way that we share the truth but because we shared the truth... and that includes man's enmity with God and the need for the grace of Christ... but when the Spirit has been working in the heart of the one who hears regeneration happens supernaturally... and by His great grace and love that is what happened to me.. You can be Gospel Motivated out of love for the soul of the lost, not because you want to sell Jesus to them. God didn't save me through God showing me love in any other way but to say that,"I need to get a bible and read it" and because God was working in my heart and was humbling me and because this man was honest and upfront, God saved me.... I understand your points and I really feel Christ compassion in watching this video. I really value the encouragement to let Chrust love unconditionally through me. Thank you thank you thank you so much for those words.❤❤❤

      There's absolute freedom to do that too :) My point in this video is that "showing people Christ" in order to see them get saved, is by being naturally supernatural - that is just being ourselves.

    The way I witness lately is I go down to the downtown jail every week and I ask the female visitors if I can pray for them and their loved one on the inside. Usually 1 out if 4 will stop and talk to me. I get their names and ask if there is anything specific that I can pray for. Then I ask if they "ever" go to church. Yes. Ok good good so you know who Jesus is? Oh yes! Then I pray for 10 minutes. Blessing her, protection for her loved one and then include the whole gospel, the 5 of the 10 commandments, heaven and hell, the cross, repentance, God's love, we are living in the end times, we don't know when we'll die, Lord Lord vs. well done, etc. etc. etc. She's usually always crying by the time I'm done. I answer any quesions she may have and then I hand her a packet with several different gifts...a tract, the Gospel of John, a bracelet with the colors to John 3:16, The Fathers Love Letter, and a list of 80 verses revealing what an authentic relationship with Christ looks like. I invite them to a Free weekend Retreat that is just for women who have been affected in any way by incarceration. We spoils the hell out of them (and it offers a ton of spiritual healing); if they are interested then I get their ph# and I take a selfie of us and send it to her and then I get to follow up by sending her encouragement text messages.
