My two biggest questions about the Hamas/Israel conflict are...
1) If what Hamas did was a resistance movement against Israel, then why did they primarily target and attack innocent civilians instead of targeting government and military targets?
2) When the IDF finally showed up why did Hamas retreat back into Gaza, while also taking civilian hostages which is a war crime, instead of facing the IDF honorably in combat?

Except the fact that Israel lies to the US for their proxy wars, sunk our ship, lobbies for funding every year, lobbies to pilfer our patent office, takes patents, makes products based on US intellectual properties, then sells it back to the US, tries to subvert the US, etc. Neither side is anywhere near peaceful or good.

Israel gave up parts of their land in the pursuit of peace is the same as if I broke into ur house, killed a bunch of the people living there, forced the rest into a locked room and started living in the rest of ur house. Then in the pursuit of peace, gave u the access to the bathroom (then started occupying and “accidentally” bombing and shooting the people there for 70 years). The actual story is very similar to this and I suggest u read more about the subject. Mainstream media will always try to make u side with Israel because they’re all owned by Israel (every news station, every social media application, 95% of the US economy, seriously the US is 29 trillion dollars in debt, who do u think their indebted to and why do u think they participate in every foreign conflict by sending aid money (tax money) through Israeli owned weapons companies such as Lockheed Martin?).

Since its creation Israel has actually gained few surrounding territories; to this day it still occupies Golan heights and some Palestinian areas

I am from Israel, the withdrawal from Gaza was unilateral because there was no one to sign the agreement with, but that still does not mean that Hamas had to take power, when the elections in Gaza were actually an American proposal, I no longer remember who the American president was, maybe Bush. @@TheScotlander Well, yes they chose Hamas and these were the last elections, in Gaza, from 2007, how convenient. The Palestinian Authority has not had elections for maybe 20 years because if there were government elections there, which without Israel's help would not exist from the beginning, it would have lost to Hamas. They sang and danced on 9/11 and handed out candy to the drivers, just like what they do after every terrorist attack, to this day

I've been listening to the son of the leader of Hamas. He said there is no such thing as Palestinians, only small exiled tribes from many different nations. These smaller tribes war against each other. The tribes can only come together and agree that they hate the Jews. If they were to eradicate the Jews, the war would continue until only one tribe survived. In other words: Palestinians lives don't matter to Palestinians.
Hamas is just one of those tribes, and the collective tribes elected Hamas to congregate and rule the other tribes in their collective hatred for the Jews.
