I have a 2010 mack cxu613 and it's a money pit. I replacement every sensor underneath the hood ,computer harnesses, injectors and injector cups, oil separator, check valves and I'm still having problems. I'm also about to change the turbo. Which is the last thing I haven't change. After that I'm calling quits.
I own a 2012 chu613 and when I first bought it it was nothing but trouble. The best thing you could ever do is get your ecm "tuned" which is also called a delete. You leave all the equipment on the truck but all the sensors are turned off and you hollow out the dpf filter so it all looks like it's factory. You will gain horsepower your engine will run cooler your turbo will last longer and fuel mileage will go up at least .5 to as much as 1 mpg!!!! Trust me one owner op to another get your ride deleted you won't believe it's the same truck!!!!!
Truck driver Gamer. Look on the web I had mine done through genesis diesel in New Jersey you take off your ecm send it to him and your problems are gone it's a little bit of money but man is it worth it. Let me know if you do it and what you think.
@@twistedtrucker7781 yo what's up bro. The only way they will deal with you is if you send them the ecm? How long was the wait and what did you do the the actual filters? Are they legit? Nd how long was the wait?
@@truckersherm7249 What's up man. Yeah just send them the ecm and they do it. It was a 3 day turn around for me I shipped it overnight. My 04 Mack Vision CX613 just recently started to take 4-5 seconds to start. Only when it's warm. In the mornings it fires up right away. I hope it's just an air pocket stuck in the fuel lines . Ima take it to a shop so they can run a diagnostic. I don't have any check engine lights and recently changed my fuel filter, the proper way. What helps me is I stay busy and always have a load for the most part so I can cover my overhead and miscellaneous repairs....
Another easy fix is. Disconnect the dpf all together. Bypassing it. But it can get you to get a fine if DOT finds out at inspection. But worth the amount of money you'll save.
im an owner operator myself and only have been for 2 years. This my friends is a classic example why you DO NOT by a truck with any emissions on it. Buy older truck and never be left on side of road with rediculous check engine lights an emissions related problems.
Delete the def system on the mack truck. That will solve alot of issues. It will run away better. I drive 2013 it has the same issues as you were listing. Delete that Def you will make a reliable again.
Mack fuck up with this shit system new truck suck when you buy trucks with 100,000 miles up no warranty that regen system is going to happen again and again 🙁
I hope you got rid of that truck. A good truck is vital to being an owner op. I feel for you it's a stressful gig when the truck is acting up. I went through a total I frame after my 1st year.. $30k!! Luckily the truck was pretty solid after that for a couple years so I could make some money. Now it's 5 years later and dealer says that the head needs to come off due to some regular coolant loss. 2005 truck another $12k+. No thanks I'll drive it add coolant and sell to a wrecker or trade new if I stay in this owner op business. Good luck to you we need it lol.
He just replaced the turbo a year ago. I hope he changed oil and filters because if not that would be a go to. But it's got to be something else. I'm working on a 08 m722 and the aftertreatment fuel shutoff won't kick in and the carbon doser. "7th injector" aren't activating at the temp they should. They don't activate at all. And I'm doing a service regeneration so there's something else going on.

Not to sound harsh but you should’ve done your research on what truck to buy. My advice is stop being a sissy and just delete that damn thing. You should’ve done that years ago. And that seat tho

Keep your head up. You're not the only one better days coming
You’re not failing, the truck is!!!
Get the truck home, carry it to a mechanic who can delete the dpf/ def system. It will cost about 2 grand, but it will be worth it in the long run.
Q
If you delete the DEF system don’t they fail you when it gets inspected? Boston based, and we have yearly inspection sticker requirements.
Best design but iligal
Sorry to also hear you're not doing good financially. What you need is a good mechanic.
Good mechanic are hard to find cause it seems like they want to use the process of elimination method. Very expensive method may I add.

It’s your turbo if the truck is not getting any power going past 40 miles an hour at a time
