Check valve is bad loosing prime and full time pushing fuel back in tank. That’s where bubbles are coming from and why your APU isn’t running. Fix it, your getting good at this. 😊

I had a truck that always had some problem, i always thought that i would figure things out and have a good truck NOPE. Everytime i was home, all my time was spent working on the truck missing family time.
One day i said screw it. I went and bought a new Peterbilt, this truck was loaded with all the extras, then drove down the street and bought a new flatbed.
When i figure the cost of parts, labor, and downtime the payments don't cost as much as trying to keep the old truck running.
That truck is now 8 years old and still running like a top.
My thought was that i spend more time in the truck than at home so im going to have a nice truck.
I never looked back. It has been wonderful.

Get rid of the fuel filter setup on your truck. I had the same problem. Till I could get to my shop I carried a gallon jug of fuel so when I stopped truck I could prime the system by filling the filter housing, like you did with vacuum. Put a spin on fuel filter housing and convert it to spin on fuel filter. It’s cheaper and I prefer spin on filter to the system on your truck. Any way good luck I’m sure you fixed it by now. 👍 I enjoy your videos, thanks.

Don’t get a new truck. I did the same thing. Had so much trouble with my truck that was paid off I got a newer truck and have a payment. I just called the banks today and asked them where to drop them off. Simply can’t afford all this shit anymore. Trucks been in the shop more than I’ve driven it I feel like. Fuels going up, rates suck, everything is against us in this industry. I can’t do it anymore it’s bankrupting me. Get a job before you pay for a truck it’s not worth it.

i remember around the late 80's, they started to get rid of all owner operators. couldn't do it then, but now, they have found a way, and also been getting rid of all teamsters and they killed off the biggest in the industry, Yellow Freight.. and along with all the company's that she had.. This was a huge win for them, not us.owner op's, lease op's, you are all going to have to stick together and combat them or you will lose out..

That check valve on your pre common rail mp8 should be 50 to 80 psi. It definitely needs replacing.
BTW, I had my fleet of trucks registered to a separate llc (not for hire). When I needed a truck I would lease it to the corporation. Then when. I didn't need it I terminated the lease and took it off the $1,000,000 policy. You can keep the tags because the not for hire insurance requirements are really low.
Also, your irp should be cheaper for your 2nd year. You file according to your IFTA returns. This way you only pay for the miles you run in the states you run.

Banjo bolts have springs that go bad after a while. The overflow on a 12v cummins will let the fuel flow back when it gets weak, leading to hard starts especially when parked up hill. Haven't had this issue on the mack e7 or the Detroit 60 series ive driven so, didn't realize the bigger newer trucks still used these.

The inline fuel pump switch on when you switch on your ignition (or separate on/off switch) and immediately starts pumping until acquired pressure are reached and then automatically switch off - so your fuel system is always primed when you switch on your fuel pump. It is also easy to spot ruptured fuel lines, because your fuel lines is immediately under pressure when you switch on your electric fuel pump

Every truck should have two checks valve one on the fuel pump and one on the head. Beside that water separate fuel housing could let air in the truck. I change all tree and issue goes away. I strongly recommend to change check valve in coming fuel lane at the water separator first then the one on the head. Whose little white bolts worsen out. Also check hose that goes to head and see if it dries out. That is all I can say brother. Hoped it get fix

Losing your prime will always be a check valve, not the fuel pump. I haven't watched this all the way through but I'm sure you found the problem to be the check valve that's sometimes integral to the filter but can also be located in the fuel filter housing (part of your engine) or elsewhere....

THAT IS NOT A CHECK VALVE its the main fuel pressure regulator, which should be 65 psi, the fuel goes in on the back left of the head and fills the head and that opens and lets the fuel return to the tank/filter base, its a injector cup told you that three videos back, in rare cases there is a small hose on the filter base that cracks but it is very rare, you need some banjo fittings and clear lines to properly diagnose this, starting with the air at the left rear corner, if you have none going in and some coming out its the injector cup. its not hard to diagnose you just have to have the proper tools, aka a dealer. i have done 100s of these, good luck you said the 8 4 23 which is 17 days behind,

Dont do telegram. If your still having the problem run a fuel line from the fuel filter to a bucket and run it, If it looses prime now you know its from the filter forward. If it doesn't you know its a fuel line or splitter valve from the filter back.
