They are taking over! We just got our electric back on after being hit by a hurricane. I have a small tree on my house and three trees down in my back yard. They wiped out my garden and chicken coop. Thank God my family and friends are all doing pretty good. Please continue to pray for everyone who got hit by this .

To get rid of flys: fill a ziplock bag partly with water. Place a penny inside the water in the bag, hang the bag with the water and penny inside near the doorway. It will keep the flys from coming inside.

My bug man gave me a can of fly bait spray to try, he said he wasn’t sure about it that someone gave it to him, well it worked great killing flys, We ordered a bigger can from Amozon, it’s called PT Alpine spray, you spray it on surfaces outside, like your door frame, window seals, garbage can lids and inside, we even spray inside the window seals where they come to try and get out, this stuff kills them in seconds, it’s not a spray that you spray in the air, we spray it on surfaces that pets and kids can’t get into, I even took paper towels and put lunch meat on it, sprayed it and put in outside on a small table and I had hundreds of dead flies in mins! And it will keep working for weeks after you spray, flys will always go to the master bathroom to the big window and we sprayed the window seal and within mins we were picking up dead ones out of the big bathtub! Dead flys were all around the back door we had to sweep them off the porch, I promise you it works!! Just remind your kids where you spray,

I knew you'd get the floor done, so, yay! It looks good. Those peas were gorgeous. I thought of Jennings as soon as you said it brought back a bad memory. I remember that and how upsetting that was.
I hadn't thought of rooting tomato suckers, that's a really good idea. I might have to try that. We've had a lot of tomato hornworms this year. Our chickens love them, though, so, as long as we find them before they do too much damage, it's all good.
Flies in the house haven't been bad this year. We closed in our porch, so it hasn't been too bad since then. I have noticed that the yellow flies (deer flies) are particularly bad this year while we are outside. So are the gnats.
    God bless you all.

I know of a way to help keep flies out of your house, and that is to put a fan above your door facing downward blowing down. Depending on how wide your door is I think a 12 inch should work pretty good. The fan has to be blowing down to keep them out. If you need more info let me know.

Well, I tried to save a part of the tomato plant that was bent. I wanted to grow roots and put it back outside. I didn't even see 1 horn worm, let alone 2 horn worms. I was so excited to see the good growth of roots. The next morning, there was just under a hand sized plant. And in the water were the horn worms and all the frass all over.😢 I think they must have been very small worms.
