“I take you there someday,” I love that line. Now he’s in the kitchen, in his element, and he’s so confident and just assumes, why wouldn’t she go with him to Italy?
Tony Shalhoub is amazing and he gave this character such life and sincerity. You just have to love him. And Allison Janney just plays off of him so beautifully. I love her reaction when he climbs in the flower box. Thanks for posting this.
Oh, you're so welcome. I love this film very, very much. And yes, they are so sweet together; it's a joy to watch. You probably heard that they'll do Friday Night Dinner together - something to look forward to!

This film was as close to perfection as a film can get.
Allidon Janney was a glorious side order in this movie.
This movie touched my heart. The brothers fighting and reconciling at the end really broke my heart. Reminded me of my brother.

Alison Janney was not acting in the kitchen; I swear that was real laughter! One of the most delightfully beautiful films ever made.
What a flick.
Beautiful, real scenes.

happy 70th birthday anthony marc shalhoub !!!!
The flower shop scene was so cringey awkward, and so perfectly done
Lovely film. Why didn't he win an Oscar?
Well, times are always hard for somebody.
3:11 the burner is not on under his skillet through the whole scene then he pretends to turn it off
