Larry, another song I cover, great job. I had the GREAT PRIVELEGE of meeting Glen Campbell, as well as seeing him in concert one last time, in Sugar Land Texas. He was battling his disease and his memory was failing, but the man could remember every note on the guitar and all of his amazing guitar solos. It was sad that he couldn't recognize his wife, sitting on the front row, nor remember that he did the song Galveston, twice in a row, but NOBODY cared. I remember driving home broken hearted. I was always a true fan of this man, so it hurt me deeply to see him this way, while at the same time, I was extremely happy to see him doing what he loved doing so much, along with his kids, especially his very talented daughter, an amazing musician in her own right. Well done Larry

Larry....When you do tributes to music greats, like Glen, they are always great ones....The songs you choose to do are perfect for each one...But there is something that is just as, if not more, powerful than your songs...It is that your heart and soul is in every bit of it..You are so heartfelt with what you give.I have to be honest when i say that if i don't want to cry, i can't watch the intro...You are the sweetest man and the most giving musician....GOD bless You.....ione marie

I wouldn't say you've fallen far short of that...I don't believe you give yourself near enough credit....But yeah....Its much better to be humble than conceited as hell....We have plenty of that in the world today.....You are GREAT Larry !!! You don't have to say it or even admit it.....But you truly are a very gifted musician/singer !! I love watching your covers and have learned a lot from your tutorials....A very heartfelt thank you Larry ! ....Buck

About five years ago I bought a guitar. I was 50 then and used to play guitar decades ago. Relearning, I'd hear old songs and want to cover them so gravitate to RUclips to watch how others do it. I cant tell you how many times my searches ended up at your channel. Similar taste in music. Became a huge fan! So here I am again 5 years later (and playing guitar in a band) on your RUclips channel with this song...
You nail this like no other covers!!
    Well Done Larry!!

Spectacular performance, very heart-felt and easy on the ears Larry. I am sure Glen would be pleased that you did such justice to his hallmark song. "Wichita Lineman" is without a doubt one of the finest and most brilliant songs to have ever been cut into vinyl. Jimmy Webb and Glen Campbell will be remembered for generations because of this incredible piece of composition and performance. I worked my way through college as a Lineman for the county. This song truly captures the solitude and longing for my girlfriend that I felt while on the Line. I'll never forget the experience, nor this song. Thank you for sharing this fine performance, Larry. Put you on a stage, an Orchestra behind you, and a Concert Hall for dynamic acoustics and you would bring the house down.

Beautiful - both sentimental words and song! And about Glen being an inspiration, you spoke right from the depths of my soul, too. Same story for me: When I was just a kid back in the Sixties, I saw Glen playing on the TV on my parents‘ bedroom...and immediately felt the pull of „one man, one guitar“. It was the beginning of a long musical journey that fills me with joy to this day, at the age of nearly 60. My parents arranged for me to get my cousin‘s old Harmony Sovereign guitar (still have it, despite owning many much more playable and sonically superior instruments), on which I played by fingers bloody on basic chords. I honestly don‘t know what other passion I might have found in life if it hadn‘t been for Glen inspiring me to be something like him, if only as a hobby musician that occasionally gigs. But it‘s definitely Mistress Music that keeps my soul fed, and I‘m eternally thankful to Glen Campbell for igniting that initial spark! Sometimes all it takes to transform a (young) person‘s life is a single moment of loving connection like the one I had with Glen, who embodied the singer-songwriter way of being with everything from melancholy to playfulness. And though it might be off-topic, while I‘m giving thanks I‘ll also send a huge thank you out to my junior high school art teacher, Mark (or was it Marc?) Sahlgren of the now-defunct (?) Sweetcorn Bluegrass Band, who lovingly gifted me with his time after school so I could come around to his classroom with my guitar and learn the beauty of fingerpicking! What a revelation! Again: One man, in one short space of time, who transformed a life. With every song I sing (and that‘s quite a lot), these inspirational men sing and play through me, too, in the web of love we can all spread if we wish to. Thank you, Larry, for reminding me of this deep-felt connection and my own gratitude towards Glen.

Larry, thanks for this beautiful tribute to Glen. Wichita Lineman was my first Glen Campbell album, which I'd bought in '68 at the Navy Exchange at Atsugi Naval Air Station, Japan. I still have it and treasure it. Until recently, Glen was a longtime resident of Paradise Valley (a Phoenix suburb), where I had been the editor of the local newspaper. We were proud to have him as a member of our community.

Well Larry, very nicely done! I'm only older than you by about 6 months so I grew up on the same music as you. I saw Glen live in 1976. My influence to pick up the guitar was John Denver. I got to see him too play live. I don't play much anymore. My other big influence were the Doobie Brothers, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker & Jim Croce. Keep on playing!!!
