You forgot to mention that the Dark Knight novelization tells more of Harvey Dent's backstory, including his parents and how he met Rachel. You also forgot to mention that the Joker's toxin was actually derived from Scarecrow's fear toxin, at least according to the novelization (10:42). Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention that the Joker bribed an old lady with a $100 bill before the opening bank robbery. Anyway good video as always, Mr. Fist!
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259yes he took over second time he was in arkham. After his first death and with his face back in place. He made penguin do what he wanted. Did what he wanted and escaped when he wanted.
I always figured the joker in this universe got sent to a asylum in a state far away from Gotham due to him being too chaotic which is why we never see him again. Somewhere with mountains in like Alaska or some shit
Batman begins is still my fav batman in theatre experience, bc it was such a GREAT version and it flipped it on its long pointy ear. DK was icing but man i love this movie
I write books and sometimes it sucks to delete whole pieces of script for the better, after all the hours or days you put in them but its nice to see that even the greatest creative minds dont use everything they produce.
8:08 That reminds me of what happened in Batman the Audio adventures, where he gives a teenager a drug with the toxin. As a result the teen collapsed (fell into a coma for days) and got kidnapped by Scarecrow
0:13 too bad you didn’t cover this shot of Batman jumping on cars, other than looking cool as hell, I really wanted to know the context behind that scene
he missed a lot of shit. i guess he cut out a lot of it to make a shorter more compact video? but goes on about the league of shadows for like the first quarter of it. He cut out like some of the most interesting parts..
In my head cannon when the scarecrow and prisoners are doing there thing they cut to a opend jail cell then from the shadows a all to joker looking fellar get up and goes an shots his own cell door goes sits back down then the joker laughs rings out wish they would have shot that scene
I think a lot of the stuff in the novelisation is just the author filling in the increasingly obvious gaps in Nolan and Goyer's story. Given what is shown in the movies for example, there's nothing supernatural about Ra's Al Ghul. He's just a garden variety terrorist in the style of a 90s cartoon [to avoid offending certain religions or races]. Another example, there's absolutely nothing that even hints that the Joker is into chemistry like some other incarnations. He's just an anarchist with doughnut powder and strawberry jam - I mean clown makeup.
I never understood why Nolan didn't put more nods to the Joker in The Dark Knight Rises. It would have been easy to have the police or Gordon make reference to the Joker escaping from Arkham when the revolution started. Bruce could have heard the Joker's laugh haunting him while he was in the pit. And it would have been cool to see a gang of Joker wannabes joining in the fight at the end, bunch of scary anarchist clowns attacking both the cops and the League of Shadows. That would have tied all three movies together without even needed to use cut Ledger footage or CGI.
I was definitely bummed when Batman Begins had no director’s commentary(it came out on dvd in late 2005 which was the golden age of DVD’s and I used to buy them sometimes just for the commentary) but it makes sense that he’s not the type of filmmaker to bother with that kind of thing. It wasn’t all bad news though, the Batman 89 special edition DVD was released the same day and was stuffed with extras(including a Burton commentary). That was only tangentially related to this video but someone put a comment section here…😂

Its all stuff i cut out of the video
So ironic lol
The $100 scene was funny
Why did he bribe her?
@@WarpingFist Now we need a novelazation of the video with the cut content so it all comes full circle
This Joker owning Arkham all to himself is a wild idea
Sounds like a good a idea for a 2009 video game starting a long spanning video game series don't you think?
@claytonveno3710 but could we shoot Batman on a Metropolis park bench.....??
😒 🤔
@@JoeChillton Nah I'd say ignore that part 😅
Jerome, the joker did that in the Gotham TV show. He didn't own Arkham legally, that was someone in season 1 I think but he took over the asylum
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259yes he took over second time he was in arkham. After his first death and with his face back in place. He made penguin do what he wanted. Did what he wanted and escaped when he wanted.
I love how Ras al ghul is immortal in the novels where in the movies his immortality is practical, mentioned, or never 100% confirmed.
I always figured the joker in this universe got sent to a asylum in a state far away from Gotham due to him being too chaotic which is why we never see him again. Somewhere with mountains in like Alaska or some shit
This is honestly my new head canon
The military probably reclaimed him and stuck him in a black site.

Batman Begins is the best BATMAN movie. The Dark Knight is the best Batman MOVIE
@cryojudgement2376 well said my friend
@@cryojudgement2376I agree. What was your first batman movie you saw?

Yeah Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are still the best
I've read through the Batman Begins novelisation 3 times back in 2023 and it gave me a newfound appreciation for the film 🖤🤎💛🦇

Even if Joker was never freed from Arkham after The Dark Knight, I'm pretty sure he laughed histerically after Bane's speech at Blackgate.
Now i really need to check out the novelizations
Thanks for this,top tier content.
bro that thumbnail is creepy
That’s his style, all his thumbnails are creepy.
@Alf-gm7tf Even better, I love creepy stuff related to Batman media
Now now...... Let's not stand on ceremony here guys

It’s from when batman goes to save Rachel. He jumps on the cop cars as shortcut to get to his bat-pod quicker.

Great video! It was a plethora of plethoras!

@luxdrama3673 hell yeah. That would have been cool
What about gotham knight novel?
I really enjoy your longform videogame early development video, hope you can cover more superhero games like you did the arkhum games.
This guy’s cadence makes my mind smooth.
No it’s incredibly annoying and takes away from the video
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are the best !!!
Apparently, Joker was gRaped by the guards and killed on a hallway after giving up on everything.... oh, wait...
Man that sounds terrible. Who would watch that?? ….
@@DH-xh3pg that actually happened in the current Joaquin Phoenix movie that the other guys were referring to not the dark Knight trilogy one

I watched the Batman and it's clearly better than 2 of these movies and on the same level as one.

Making ras al Ghul 400 years is so stupid. They’re so desperate to make the Nolan trilogy more fantastical.
He is that old lmfao. Older in a lot of stories too. “More fantastical” you mean just adapting?
Nolan should've left the 3rd movie to someone else
Nah
Nope
Why?
Only Nolan could've finished the trilogy. His personal style of filmmaking is in the DNA of these movies.
People GLAZE nolan too much. I would love to see his brother directing one, since he has written most of it
