You also forgot to mention that the Joker's toxin was actually derived from Scarecrow's fear toxin, at least according to the novelization (10:42). I never understood why Nolan didn't put more nods to the Joker in The Dark Knight Rises. It would have been easy to have the police or Gordon make reference to the Joker escaping from Arkham when the revolution started. Bruce could have heard the Joker's laugh haunting him while he was in the pit. And it would have been cool to see a gang of Joker wannabes joining in the fight at the end, bunch of scary anarchist clowns attacking both the cops and the League of Shadows. That would have tied all three movies together without even needed to use cut Ledger footage or CGI.

Jerome, the joker did that in the Gotham TV show. He didn't own Arkham legally, that was someone in season 1 I think but he took over the asylum

I've read through the Batman Begins novelisation 3 times back in 2023 and it gave me a newfound appreciation for the film 🖤🤎💛🦇
