To me the issue I have with shows like the new little mermaid is that Hollywood recycles old established roles and give them to black people pretending to be diverse when in reality they don't care or they would create new black characters that haven't been established already. They are exploiting black actors for money grabs in my opinion
lol i remember when the little black girl said ariel isnt black and said the movie was dumb now, her mom asked her why and she answered in a very simple way. made me realize that the whole situation is just dumb.
