Friends, thanks for sharing. Finally a decent analysis on Chiron. I'm having a lot of problems on my machine but with your observations, I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you very helpful to me, I look forward to your next videos on this. Hugs to all of the channel
@@3DMakeIt Problems with support. Anycubic send to my country (Brazil) many machines to warehouse and no spare parts. Ex: My bed no heat (im print in the cold bed) and the X bar is bend, not align to the bed. Anycubic try to send for me spare parts, but stop in the customs and return to sender. In my country have complet machines but not spare parts. Anyway im atention in your videos, apreciate.

@@3DMakeIt Thanks for the comfort friend, already enough help. I'll wait on the firmware (maybe I need to change the LCD) or not and the placement of the BLtouch. PLA may not need a heated bed, a glass with glue and change the height of the endstops. The X axis I bought a bar of 1m and I will change. Waiting to arrive. Interesting is the abandonment of ANYCUBIC about it and offered only US30 discount on buying another. It sounds like a joke. Or heating the bed with resistors, oldschool solution (lol).
It was just an observation, I will not create controversy. Your channel is well focused and I have seen some practical solutions to use. Thank you. I will arrange this with observation and work. David videos is nice too and your kids is partners. By.
Ive been looking at the ANYCUBIC Chiron , Creality CR-10 V2 and the CR-10S Pro V2 but I'm not sure what to pic because I'm a first time buyer and not really mechanically inclined. So I'm trying to find one that I don't have to mod and that is generally durable with consistent prints?
So the short answer is this, The cr10s is a work horse. I don't like the 10 s pro / max as much as the regualar cr10s(v2). The chiron is huge and does print out if the box but does not have trinamic drivers so is a bit louder and will suffer from printing artifacts until you tune your slicer for jerk and acceleration. If it were my money i'd lean more towards a cr10s(v2). pop on our discord channel if you want to ask some questions we will be on tonight for the next few hours, discord.gg/4tmgAJz
I am getting my Anycubic Chiron printer on Wednesday so thank you for the video but you can nix the loud overbearing music and rather you explain like when you touch the screen. Mine is advertised as a 400x380x450 and did they make a newer model this year eliminating the 400mm front to back? I have a nonprofit org for the Blind and plan to use this to help the Blind to see with their hands. Free Braille Puzzles and other things are out there to help. Enjoy your printer.
@@3DMakeIt Would love to see some other mod's besides just the usual tmc2208 upgrade that everyone is doing for the Chiron. A BLtouch mod for better auto leveling would be nice, or a quieter fan mod such as Noctua.
@@terryphan7451 I agree, I want to do some mods to the factory board test 2130 SPI and 2208 UART, I am liking the dual endstops as it trues up the x every time you home. If I add a BL Touch I will miss that. I have a BL Touch on my other printer and love it. I had a knockoff for a bit but the pin would randomly drop and knock the prints. So I got the real BL Touch and it is totally worth the extra money. I am also going to test a SKR 1.3 32 bit board.
Nice! I'm coming from an A8 as well and totally agree, would never recomend it to anyone though lol. I didn't do my research on this prInter well enough, I bought it and watched your video and cringed when I overlooked no thermal runaway. If it's solved by community then that's great! I relieved
Would you still recommend this printer? I need a printer with a large build space like this for big projects. Is there a better 3d printer to get or is this still a good one?
Hey Its a good printer at the price point! the cr10max would be another printer in the same build size scale and it does offer a few features that may be consider bitter (silent steppers, bltouch) but at double the price of a Chiron you can't go wrong with a chiron
Hello, thanks for sharing, do you have feedback experience to give? I ordered it and I receive it tomorrow, there are very few videos in my language (French) Is it worth it in the long run? thank you in advance
HI Nesska its a great printer! The set up was easy. The onscreen display is very reactive. We are using prusa slicer 2 and cura for slicing. It is a solid machine that will be great for you we are sure!
No problem this is Greg by the way if you have any questions David and I would be more than happy to answer them or put out a video on that topic. Thanks for your interest in our Channel
Hi - by freeing up a Z motor, would a 2 in 1 out mixing hotend would be possible with the stock Trigorilla mobo?

@@3DMakeIt Hi! Thanks for your video. Could you please specify why would you rather take the cr10s V2 over the 10s pro?
Does Anycubic have a new firmware upgrade out there to fix the Thurmal runaway problem?
I haven't seen one so I solved it by installing an SKR 1.3 32-bit board that'll be in an upcoming video
I could have just flash my own version of marlin but I wanted to try a 32-bit controller and silent steppers
3D MakeIt
Is that board just plug and play?
Nope, I had to make a wireing harness. And compile marlin 2. It will be in the video. Sitll editing it
How much better is the Chiron a year later? maybe do a video!

hello 3dmakelt if money does not play a role is the cr10max not better of the technology?
We have a cr10 Max at work it works fine most of the time. I think the any cubic is a slightly better price. Technology wise they're about equal.
I'm thinking about it hard, main target tabletop terrain, do you think it's print quality is enough?
It is, I am working on adding the tmc2208's just to make it quieter, but the quality is great so far.

Definitely not a CR-10 killer, wouldn't mind seeing more videos about the Chiron as mine is an utter dog that I'd like to fix
I have done lots of changes to mine, and it is working great. Added an SKR 1.3 and 2209s, Banta fan / mount with BL touch
Would need to see a picture.
Thanks for the great review! Is that controller 32bit?
I installed a SKR Now.
Can you show be your benchy print with the chiron?
I have many but i will print a new one today for you
