Apart from the obvious loading times it holds up incredibly well for an 8 year old console, it still looks really nice. Much, much better than I was expecting. The loading times are mainly because it’s a normal HDD vs a SSD on the series consoles.
I'll get a Series X eventually but at least I can take comfort knowing my vanilla Xbox One can run this beautifully. At least the loading screens are nice, cuz I'm gonna be spending a lot of time in them lol
To fix the loading times, get yourselves external hard drives with at least a 7200 RPM drive. There, fixed most of the loading issue for you. It's what I run and it makes loading a hell of a lot faster on every game.
Having been through that myself, it was a huge concern, even though I don't have an Xbox these days. The radio silence, no footage and no images was an exact repetition of what happened with FH2 on X360. Thankfully for last gen owners, PG are doing all versions in-house now, instead of farming them out. It's kind of amazing how much Sumo managed to screw up what should have been a no brainer.
I'm right into Porsche's at the moment, can't wait to fly around Mexico in a sweet 911, but of course I'll have my usual arsenal of 90's Japanese sideways speedhunters
That still looks very impressive for an Xbox One game. This also gives me a lot of hope for the PC version, it probably scales really well from low-end to high-end hardware.
I watched a video of a guy playing it on a $45 Athlon 3000g just with the integrated graphics, yeah it runs in 720 low at 30, but still, you can run it on a cpu/gpu combo that costs less than the game itself.
The pc version is a bit eh, your windows defender has to be turned off or if you have avast antivirus, you have to turn it off as well or else the game will crash, it’s fine for me but for other people not so much
I’ve been playing on Xbox one for 2 days, it does actually load and run more smoothly than fh4 which is really impressive. It does have its drawbacks though, the AI traffic is almost non existent which makes the game feel a bit dead and I have experienced several glitches/ bugs. Overall though it runs very well and isn’t all that buggy considering the tech and how new the game is.
Game looks still amazing even on last gen! Seeing loading screens again after a long time of Series X gameplay was definitely wild. Can't wait till I get to play this incredible game

I've done that once on when I waited for a Gold Game and a Day One Game Pass game to release, usually they dont appear exactly at midnight (probably depends on time zone, for instance I'm in the UK). But lets hope for the best we get FH5 this midnight😂
@@jcogi I actually got the premium add-on bundle for 50$ that gave me the DLCs and VIP and a bunch of stuff. It was worth it imo lol. 50$ instead of maybe 80$ or more for the deluxe edition is nice. @@wout123100 i'm not gonna lie to you haven't tried it with forza horizon 5 yet but, I tried it with gta v rainbow six... and it pretty much cuts alot of time. I have the WesternDigital My Passport 512GB with speed of 540MB/s i don't know what's the speed of the xbox one hhd tbh i suspect it's around 100MB/s so it should be 5 times slower.

FH5 on my original xbox runs perfectly, the load times aren’t long and the gameplay is nice and smooth IMO. Might just be because i have a decent wifi i guess.

when i drive to Guanajuato or places with lot of houses on xbox one the graphics gets pretty mediocre like 800-900p and fps lowers down to like 15 or 20 fps
For anyone wondering about One S vs. One performance, it'll be the same since internally they're almost identical aside from power efficiency improvements. The slight performance edge on the One S is not used for gaming, rather stuff like video playback.
@KidDynamite500 I'd probably expect a more stable 30fps or very slightly better visuals, but it's still gonna be an almost identical experience considering that most people probably wouldn't look for something so small.
Honestly, I've still not found a serious reason to upgrade to next gen. Maybe that might change with starfield eventually. Hopefully we'll have 1TB Series S or a cheaper digital only Series X by then.

I play steam premium edition on pc with gtx 1050ti, i5 and 16gb ram and on the ssd its running amazing. Still would play like this at 45+fps 1080p high then 900p low on the Xbox even if it's 60fps.

Although the game looks better than fh4 you can see very aggressive pop in textures grass and trees. Trees are 2d until you get very close and 3D grass only renders in a few car lengths ahead of you and it’s not as dense as on series consoles. It looks like they fixed the anti aliasing issues with fh4 where trees would flicker due to low AA. For the most part they kept the details on the car at high settings to give the illusion of a better looking game. Well done Forza, they have made a brilliant game look stunning on the lowest end hardware. The optimisation is unreal. To think they haven’t even brought res down to 900p and the console will sustain 30fps perfectly.

I have another thought. What would you guys prefer if it was between PC and Series S? I have a 2060S gpu, Ryzen 3000 series and 16 of Ram, but also an xbox series S. how did you get it to install and load? I tried installing it and got met with check your network connection and something went wrong. It installed under the name woodstock final. Then when I connected to my Hotspot it told me the game needed a 92 gig update. I just wanted to play the vanilla game without the extra

All of that detailed foliage and graphics dont add anything to the games mechanics and are just window dressing cutting them of would make the game run better on every system

Yeah the loadings are painful, but still, what matters is that the game runs fine and looks nice.
Easy way to avoid the painful loading screen are by just check something on you phone or do something while loading.

Some benefits playing on original Xbox one, you can cook dinner get rest feel amazing right before you hop on, so you can really focus on the game.

I play steam premium edition on pc with gtx 1050ti, i5 and 16gb ram and on the ssd its running amazing. Still would play like this at 45+fps 1080p high then 900p low on the Xbox even if it's 60fps.

The fact it runs more smoothly than its predecessor (fh4) on xbox one is impressive
I’m glad I was able to get a series x cause those load times ruin the experience. There’s no loading during the intro/tutorial sequence on series x.

Although the game looks better than fh4 you can see very aggressive pop in textures grass and trees. Trees are 2d until you get very close and 3D grass only renders in a few car lengths ahead of you and it’s not as dense as on series consoles. It looks like they fixed the anti aliasing issues with fh4 where trees would flicker due to low AA. For the most part they kept the details on the car at high settings to give the illusion of a better looking game.
Well done Forza, they have made a brilliant game look stunning on the lowest end hardware. The optimisation is unreal. To think they haven’t even brought res down to 900p and the console will sustain 30fps perfectly.

I have a 2060S gpu, Ryzen 3000 series and 16 of Ram, but also an xbox series S.
Its possible for me to download it to either platforms so im looking for facts that help me decide which platform i should play the game on.
PC will probably give the best performance visually, but xbox version will probably be less problematic technically.
I have a bunch of friends that will play on PC if it matters connection wise.
Any fact will be helpful, differences etc

how did you get it to install and load? I tried installing it and got met with check your network connection and something went wrong. It installed under the name woodstock final. Then when I connected to my Hotspot it told me the game needed a 92 gig update. I just wanted to play the vanilla game without the extra
I am a little upset that I'm missing out on the load times and the really detailed foliage but it still looks and sounds better than FH4 so I'm not disappointed
Yeah it’s a damn shame that the series x is constantly out of stock otherwise I’d get one.
All of that detailed foliage and graphics dont add anything to the games mechanics and are just window dressing cutting them of would make the game run better on every system
