In this game we see a lot of Stephens. It is a great game of Stephen versus Stephen and maybe not the game you expected. Note that a full mirror game was just not possible given resource restraints and the challenge of creating a compelling game of Warhammer 40k. Lists below.

Seems like they took a picture of Steve on each side of the board from both perspectives and added them in post.
Only one Steve is moving at a time in most shots.
Locked off cameras make this easy. You essentially just split the shot in post and layer them together. You can see moments where he is frozen as well as needed (rendered as a still) in order to lengthen shots they need on the other side. Would have been time consuming to shoot but technically very easy as long as no one bumps a camera.
@@InVerum You pretty much nailed it. We shot all the cameras locked, and had Steve do both bits. I would take frozen shots and mask them over to make it look seamless enough.
Space Marine Steve recorded 475 throws this session with a spread as follows: ones - 80, twos - 84, threes - 90, fours - 76, fives - 73, sixes - 72. Huttzpah!
Slightly worse than average. It’s actually surprising, most people who complain about their dice rolls are closer to 50/50 for a 4+.
This is 254-221 which is closer to 54/46 Over a large number of dice being thrown, it’s actually quite a large deviation from what should be standard. I’d like to see statistics over many games.
i love the huttzpah of these guys. playing long enough to make it actually look like it's going to be Steve playing alone (which i would totally watch) and to hide a fun lil joke in the middle of the episode. you guys are brilliant
I was becoming worried that I was the only one who enjoyed the huttzpah!
When you activate Dark Pact, you first shoot or fight and THEN make the leadership test and suffer the mortals if you fail. You can alway attack with all models before you suffer the mortal wounds.
See lots of people getting this wrong, sometimes losing out on attacks.
It seems like it should be the over way round considering in a lore way you are shanking a guy to pay the gods for battle rage. But in game its like alright lads lets fight them, ok now I'll shank one of you
@@Gumby777 I think it's more like "For the XXX of YYY!!!" and then you fight/shoot and depending on if the god in quesion liked it or not one of your guys pays the price lol
The reality was so warped by the two Steves in one place, for example at 4:36 you can see reality distortions on the table

Anyone else notice that Steve broke the axe off one of the Chaos models at 32:24 when removing his Redemptor and nothing was said lol? I think that's the real reason why Chaos started to lose their power momentum in this game. Maybe Chaos Steve took over Space Marine Steve at that point. 😈

So, I have been watching this channel for a bit, never commented. This is the only WH40k channel my kiddos will watch. Somehow I missed this video and it popped up on my TV homepage. The before Vanguard Steve came in it seriously looked like you guys just locked SM Steve in the studio and he started losing it and started making the video. The first 10 mins were hilarious!
That double six save was a blessing from Khorne, those sixes and a four make sixteen total, and half of sixteen is eight! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

The Steve vs himself dynamic was hilarious and really masterfully done.
It is virtually impossible to play a game of anything against yourself. You know what the opponent (YOU) is thinking so there are no secrets, strategy goes out the window because its just you, and even target priority disappears. it becomes a game of who do you want to win... you or you? Never the less it was entertaining to watch, and a good effort by Steve. Both of them.
Man, Steve brought his 'A' game this time, but Steve showed some real huttzpah.

The hilarious irony of Astral Claws becoming the Red Corsairs, while Steve's playing both is fantastic. The only thing better would have been Chaos steve having a really obvious fake mustache.
