Love your videos, Hammeh. You're a great orator and consistently give exceptional explanations and analyses. The fact that you keep track of not only the history of Overwatch within the lore, but also the real-life history of the Overwatch lore itself is just terrific, and shows the attention to detail you put into your work. People like you drive the world forward in ways that may seem small individually, but are very big when everything is put together. You are an excellent craftsman, and whatever you create now or in your future, it will touch lives, and that is very special. Can't wait for that Sojourn Novel review/analysis! There were a couple of things I particularily liked about the novel aside from Sojourn's personal story (no major spoilers). First, it showed how utterly DARK the Omnic Crisis actually was, honestly it's one of the darkest events I've witnessed in fiction (funny how some of the most light-hearted franchises often have some of the grimest events). Second (and this is personal for me), it takes place in an area I'm very familiar with in real life because I have a lot of family living there, and it was a pleasant surprise to see it described accurately. Of course, it's kinda terrifying as well, considering the brutal war that takes place there would most likely displace or even kill much of my family and their descendants.
Always happy to see more lore, and in a series too! I’m not always a fan of how disconnected a lot of the mixed bits we usually get are, so this will be nice :D

I'm a bit let down. 7 years for some warmed over Matrix lore. It's the Second Renaissance all over again (the Third Renaissance?)
And as with the Matrix I ask where are the 3 laws and why isn't there an easy to access off switch?
To be honest I wasn't that impressed with it. Their old shorts had better action and more fluid movement than the anime and that is the selling point of anime. This could have been a comic and you wouldn't have lost anything as most of it was static shot of people walking aimlessly or sitting. Even in the brief battle scene the camera is static and everything it standing like they are on a stage. Maybe things will get better, but it doesn't look like it.
They’re just short little things in an anime style 🤷♂️
I felt the same.... the first half did nothing for lore reveal. It only gave specific names and confirmed what was already hinted at, like ai tech advances.
Let's hope the next parts reveal something new and interesting.
